INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
**Inst allation recommendation:
JBA recommends in most cases that the vehicle be taken to a reputable exhaust shop.

TOOLS RECOMMENDED:

9/16" deep socket

3/8" ratchet 7/8" open end wrench 15mm box wrench rubber mallet spray lubricant or penetrating oil anti-seize reciprocating saw or hack saw pair of channel lock pliers, 10î

TO ST ART :
2. Disconnect negative battery cable and allow vehicle exhaust to cool.
1. Remove and inventory new JBA exhaust.
8. Remove oxygen sensor with 7/8" open end wrench. NOTE: unplug sensor at cross member .
14. Inst all oxygen sensor using 7/8" wrench. Reconnect sensor .
20. With anti seize on threads of 3" front muf
fler clamp/hanger (E), position and tighten completely with 9/16" deep wall socket.
3. With vehicle raised and properly sup­ported, using a reciprocating saw or hack­saw , cut the pipe approximately 3" behind rear of muf fler.
9. S pray lubricant on front muf fler hanger rubber grommet lower hole.
15. Inst all front muf fler hanger (E) thru lower hole in grommet and over end of head pipe (A).
21. Position t ail pipe (C) so that front t ail pipe hanger is level in rubber grommet.
4. S pray lubricant on front and rear tail pipe hanger rubber grommets lower hole.
10. Remove the three nut s on the three bolt flange using a 15mm socket and a 15mm box wrench. You may need to use some penetrating oil.
16. With the JBA logo facing rear of vehi­cle, inst all muf fler (B) over head pipe (A) making sure muf fler bottoms out on slip joint.
22. With anti seize on threads, inst all 3" clamp (F) over rear muf
fler slip joint and tighten completely with 9/16" deep wall socket.
5. Using a p air of channel lock pliers, remove front t
ail pipe hanger rod from
lower hole in rubber grommet.
6. Using a p air of channel lock pliers, remove rear t ail pipe hanger rod from bot­tom hole of grommet.
11. Using a p air of channel lock pliers, remove front muf fler hanger rod from bottom hole in grommet.
12. Remove muf fler assembly pulling towards rear of vehicle. NOTE: use care not to damage gasket on three bolt flange.
17. Support muf fler and inst all tail pipe (C) from rear of vehicle, hanger end first. Slip into muffler and put hanger rod thru lower hole in grommet.
18. Inst all 3" clamp/hanger (G) over end of tail pipe (C) and slip hanger rod into hole in rubber grommet. NOTE: use anti­seize on threads. Inst all turn out (D) onto tail pipe (C).
23. Rot ate turn out (D) to desired position leaving clearance from body and tighten clamp completely with 9/16" socket.
25. Using a sof t cloth, remove all print s from turnout tip (D).
24. After inst allation, it is recommended that all clamp s be retightened and joint s tack welded in three spot s.
NOTES:
1) It may be necessary to loosen and realign the sp are tire for proper clearance.
2) All exhaust systems will exp and about 1" rearward when exhaust temperature st art to rise.
3) Use Anti-seize on threads of clamps.
7. Remove t ail pipe from rear of vehicle.
13. Inst all head pipe (A) with three bolt flange.
NOTE: we recommend using anti-
seize on threads.
19. Position clamp/hanger (G) over slip joint of turn out (D) and hand tighten.

We recommend taking the truck to a muffler shop and having all slip connections tack welded.
