INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
* Installation Recommendation: JBA recommends in most cases that the vehicle be taken to a reputable exhaust shop.

4.6L 4v IRS only
RECOMMENDED TOOLS:
9/16 socket
ratchet
channel lock pliers
9/16 wrench
pry bar
spray lubricant or penetrating oil
TO START:
1. Remove and inventory JBA exhaust.
2. Disconnect negative battery cable and
allow vehicle exhaust to cool.
PARTS LIST:
A. Intermediate pipe (PS) 1
B. Intermediate pipe (DS with bend) 1
C. High flow mufflers 2
D. Driver side mid pipe w/ hanger 1
E. Passenger side mid pipe w/ hanger 1
F. Driver side tail pipe/tip w/ hanger 1
G. Pass. side tail pipe/tip w/ hanger 1
H. 3" Band clamp 2
I. 3" Exhaust clamp 4

3. With the vehicle raised and properly
supported, spray penetrating oil on all
factory rubber isolators.
4. Using the pry bar, remove the tailpipe
hangers form the rubber isolators.
7. Align the mufflers and the tighten the
fasteners that attach the intermediate
pipes (A) and (B) to the catalytic
converter assembly.
8. Insert the new mid pipes with hangers
(D) and (E) in to the JBA mufflers (C).
11. Slip 3" band clamp (H) over the end
of mid pipes (D) and (E).
12. Install the JBA tail pipes (F) and (G) by
first inserting the tip hanger in to the
rear rubber isolator.
15. Position the band clamps (H) over slip
connection.
16. Check the exhaust system for proper
alignment and clearance then tighten all
clamps.
5. Remove the factory exhaust system by
unbolting the intermediate pipes from
the catalytic converter assembly.
6. Install the new JBA intermediate pipes
(A) and (B) and secure them to the
catalytic converter assembly using the
factory or supplied hardware. Now slip
the JBA mufflers (C) on to the
intermediate pipes (A) and (B) with the
offset openings towards the middle of
the car.
9. Slip the mid pipe hangers in to the
factory rubber isolators.
10. Install 3" exhaust clamp (I) over slip
connection with muffler (C).
13. Now fully seat the tail pipes (F) and
(G) on to the mid pipes (D) and (E).
14. Slip 2nd tail pipe hanger into rubber
isolator.
16. Secure band clamps (H) over slip
connection.
17. After installation, it is recommended
that all clamps be retightened after
checking for leaks.
18. Lower the vehicle and reattach the
negative battery cable.
NOTES:
1) All exhaust systems will expand
roughly 1" rearward when exhaust
temperatures start to rise.
2) Use Anti-seize on threads of clamps.
3) We also recommend that you tack
weld all slip connections in three spots.
