Power Supply:
This unit operates off of 230-240 AC or 8 x UM-2 or LR-14 ‘C’
size 1.5V batteries.
To connect the power supply, first ensure the Function Selector is in
the OFF position, then plug the cord into a 230-240V main power outlet.
Switch on at the main outlet, then turn the Function Selector to the
desired setting.
Whenever the power cord connection is used, the batteries will
automatically be disconnected.
The AC power cord should be disconnected by switching off and unplugging
from the main supply, when the unit is not in use.
Batteries:
This unit can alternatively operate off of 8 x UM-2 or LR-14 ‘C’
size 1.5V batteries.(Batteries not included).
To install batteries, slide off the Battery Compartment Door on the base
of the unit. Insert new batteries into the Battery Compartment, ensuring
the correct polarity as indicted, is followed. Slide back the Battery
Compartment Door.
Please note : When the AC (main) power is used, the batteries will
automatically be disconnected.
Id the product is not going to be used for a while, suggest the batteries
are taken out of the unit.

Battery Caution:
Replacement of batteries must be done by an adult.
Do not mix old and new batteries.
Do not mix the alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) and
rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
Exhausted batteries are to be removed.
Only batteries of the equivalent type are to be used.
Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
Dispose of batteries properly.
Do not dispose of batteries in fire ; batteries may explode or leak.
Only use the adapter provided by the manufacturer.
Operating The Radio:
Turn the Function Selector to the required wave band on the
AM or FM Stereo.
1. Tune in the required station by rotating the Tuner Control.
2. Extend the FM Antenna to its full length.
3. Adjust the Volume Control to the desired level.
4. To turn off the radio, switch the Function Selector to OFF or CD.
Operating The CD Player:
Handy Hints:
1. Although built to withstand certain amount of the effects from dust,
soil and scratches, discs should be treated with care. Always protect
discs against scratches, dirt and dust. When not being used, always
store discs in their original cases.
2. When holding the discs, do not touch the playing surface.
3. Do not place discs near a heating device or high temperature areas.
4. Do not write on the disc. Do not stick labels on the disc.
5. Wipe away any fingerprints or dust on the playing surface of a disc
using a clean, soft cloth. Always wipe from the inside toward the outside
of the disc. Never wipe in circular motion.
6. Do not use conventional record cleaners, anti-static agents, benzene,
thinner or other solvents to clean discs.

Loading A Disc:
1. Set the Function Selector to CD position.
2. The LCD will display 2 dashes (--) and indicate no,
(provided there is not disc already loaded)
3. Open the CD Door gently pressing down the OPEN/CLOSE section
of the CD Door.
4. Insert a disc into the CD Compartment ensuring the label is facing upwards.
5. Close the CD Door by gently pushing down.
6. The LCD will show the total number of tracks on that particular disc.
CAUTION : Never touch the laser lens inside the CD Compartment.
If this gets dirty, clean it with a CD disc cleaner.
Playing A Disc:
Normal Playback
1. Set the Function Selector to CD position and wait 5-10 seconds.
If a disk is already in the CD Compartment, the LCD will show the total
number of tracks on its display.
2. Press the Play/Pause () button to start play. The rest track number () 01
will appear in the LCD and the disc will start playing with 5-10 seconds.
3. Use the Volume Control button to adjust the volume to your desired
volume level.
4. To stop the disc temporarily, press the Play/Pause ( ) button once.
Although the disc will continue spinning,it will stop playing and ( )
will flash in the LCD.
5. To resume play, press the Play/Pause ( ) button again.
6. To stop playing, press the Stop button.
7. To turn off the CD, switch the Function Speaker to OFF or RADIO position.
NOTE : Never press the CD Door down during play, this may cause
malfunction or damage the disc. Always stop the CD player by using
the Stop button and wait for a few seconds to ensure the disc has stopper
spinning, before removing the disc from the CD Compartment.
If you move or knock against the unit during play, the music will stop for
a second or two before resuming play. This is normal for portable players.

Playing A Disc (cont.):
Fast Forward (Skipping Forward)
This function enable you to end the beginning of any desired track
during playback. To get to the next track, press the F.FWD (Fast Forward)
button once. To end another track, repeatedly press the F.FWD (Fast Forward)
button. Each time you press this button, the player will skip to the next track.
During normal playback mode, it is possible to search froward at a high
speed for a particular point on a track by pressing and holding the
F.FWD (Fast Forward) button until the required place has been found,
then release the button.
Rewind (Skipping Backwards)
If the REV (Rewind) button is pressed during playback, play will go to the start
of the track that is currently in play. By pressing the REV (Rewind) button
twice or more in rapid succession, play will go back one track at a time.
During normal playback mode, it is possible to search backwards at a high
speed for a particular point on a track by pressing and holding the
REV (Rewind) button until the required place has been found, then release
the button.
Repeat - Single Track
To repeat the same track over and over again, while in normal play mode,
press the REPEAT button once. The LCD will display REP 1
To end the single track repeat, press the REPEAT button twice more so
that the Play ( ) symbol is displayed on the LCD.
Repeat - All Tracks
To continuously play all songs on a disc for non-stop music, while in
normal playback mode, press the REPEAT button twice in succession.
The LCD will display REP ALL.
To end the repeat all tracks being repeated continuously, press the REPEAT
button once so that the Play ( ) symbol is displayed in the LCD.

Playing A Disc (cont.):
Random Track Selector
To enable the CD Player to randomly select tracks from the disc while
in normal mode, press the RAND button. The LCD will display RAND.
To end the random selection play back, press the RAND button again
so that the Play ( ) symbol is displayed in the LCD.
Programmed Memory Play
Up to 20 tracks on a CD can be programmed for play in order of choice.
Programming can be done only during Stop mode.
1. Press the Program button once during stop mode.
2. The LCD will display PROG 01.
3. Press the Skip Forwards F.FWD or Rewind REV buttons respectively,
until the desired track shows on the LCD.
4. Press the Program button to confirm your choice. The LCD will show
PROG 02 indicating you now need to select your second track to be
programmed.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until all the desired tracks are programmed in
your order of choice.
6. When programming is complete, press the Play/Pause ( ) button
to start playing in program mode.
7. The LCD will show ( ) PROG and the programmed track number being
played.
8. All songs will then play, in order in which they are programmed.
9. If, in the middle of play, you want to hear the next programmed song,
press the Skip Forwards F.FWD button.
10. If, in the middle of play, you want to hear the previous programmed song,
press the Rewind REV button.
NOTE : When in Program Playback Mode, pressing the Stop button once,
stops the playback but still retains the program memory and PROG will be
displayed in the LCD. Pressing Play/Pause ( ) resumes playback of track
in programmed order.
When in Program Playback Mode, press Stop button twice to erase the
programmed play list.

Removing A Disc:
1. Press the STOP button.
2. Wait until the disc has stopped spinning
3. Open the CD Door by gently pressing down on the OPEN/CLOSE
section of the CD Door.
4. Remove the disc.
5. Close the CD Door by gently pushing down.
6. Replace the disc in its protective storage box.
Bass Boost:
This function can be used to get extra bass. Simply press the BASS
button to achieve an extra level of bass. Note that the effectiveness of
this feature depends on the type of music being played. Press the BASS
button once more to stop Bass Boot.
Line In Jack:
By using a home audio connection cable (not included), you can listen
to an external audio unit through this unit’s speakers. Before making any
connections, turn off the power to all equipment.
Plug a connection cable (not included) between the LINE OUT jack on the
external audio unit and this unit's LINE IN jack. (Do not connect it to this
unit’s PHONES jack.)
Then rotate the Function control on this unit to the CD position to turn the
unit on. This will allow you to broadcast the external unit’s sound through
this unit.
NOTE : If a unit is connected to the LINE IN jack, you will not be able to
hear the CD through this unit’s speakers until the LINE IN cable in removed
from the LINE IN jack (the external unit’s sound has priority over the CD).
BACKLIGHT
When the unit is on, the backlight will also be on.

Headphones or Earbuds:
To listen to the radio or CD Player with headphones, plug in your
headphones (not included) or earbuds (not included) in the
Earbud Input Jack at the rear of this unit.
Care and Maintenance:
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the unit. Do not liquids of any sort.
Keep away from direct sunlight and other sources of heat.
If the unit is not going to be used for a while, remove the batteries
and disconnect from the main power outlet.

the product as a gift against defects in material & workmanship as based on the date
of the original purchase from an authorized dealer or retailer. The original sales receipt
showing the product name & the purchase date from an authorized retailer is considered
such proof.
WHO IS COVERED
Jazwares, Inc. warranty covers new products if a mechanical defect arises & a
valid claim is received within the Ninety (90) Day Warranty Period. At its option,
Jazwares, Inc. will either (1) repair the product at no charge,using new or refurbished
replacement parts, or (2) exchange the product with a product that is new or which has
been manufactured from new, or serviceable used parts & is at least functionally
equivalent or most comparable to the original product in Jazwares, Inc.’s inventory.
Jazwares, Inc. warrants replacement products or parts provided under this warranty
against defects in materials & workmanship from the date of the replacement or repair
for ninety (90) days or for the remaining portion of the original product’s warranty,
