Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the WSD18. To ensure perfect functioning of your WSD18, carefully read this operating manual and keep it for future reference. Should you need more information or if you encounter particular problems not specified in these operating instructions in sufficient detail, either contact us directly or contact your local authorized dealer.

1. Safety Instruction
1.1 Warnings
(1) Close supervision is required when any appliance is used by or near Children. (2) Read all instructions before using the appliance. (3) Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. (4) To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the appliance in water for washing. (5) In order to let coffee maker running at best performance, it should be put in room
above 2 hours, and turn on the machine until its temperature reaches the room
temperature.
1.2 Precautions
(1) Do not expose the appliance to rain, snow, and fog; do not operate with wet hand.

(2) Use on a hard, flat level surface only, do not place this appliance on or near a hot
burner(e.g. stove) or any place that children or pets can easily touch. (3) If long time no use of appliance (e.g. out for holiday), make sure to turn off the
power. (4) Keep off the power before cleaning the appliance. (5) When removing the plug from wall outlet, do not draw the electric line or the appliance. (6) Do not make bold to dismantle or repair the appliance, after malfunction, return the
appliance to authorized agent to repair with the original spare parts. (7) Do not place the power line where it can trip over any person, get out of touch by
children and pets. (8) Do not put the whole appliance or some part of it into dishwasher. (9) Expose the appliance to good ventilation, to avoid heat collection or over heat.
2. Before operating the appliance
2.1 Check supply voltage

The coffee maker is preset in the factory to the correct mains voltage, check if your local mains supply voltage complies with the information given on the type plate on the underside of the coffee machine.
2.2 Check electrical fuse
The electric current required of safe working is marked under the appliance, to check if the electrical fuse has sufficient capacity.
2.3 Fill water
(1) Only use pure water, never fill in milk, mineral water or other liquid, or hot water. (2) Remove the water reservoir and rinse it with the tap water.
(3) Fill pure water into the water reservoir and reinstall it properly.
3. Using the appliance

(1) Before removing any of the parts and accessories, make sure the Control Knob③ on the
side of unit is turned to the off position(“O” position), Steam Key⑤ (green) is off, the coffee maker is ready.
(2) Do not remove the Filter Holder⑦ at any time during the brewing process. (3) Do not touch the metal part of Filter Holder⑦ when taking off it, after brewing, the
metal part may still be very hot. When taking off the Filter Holder⑦, be careful there may be hot water floating on the top of the Filter⑩/

, try to make them drip to
drip tray. If not drip any more, take out the Filter Holder⑦.
(4) If coffee does not drip out from the Filter Holder⑦, then the Filter⑩/

is blocked. The blockage may be caused by the coffee being too finely ground. Turn off the appliance and allow it to cool down, wash the Filter⑩/

and Filter Holder⑦.
(5) In order for your unit to work properly time after time, clean the frothing tip and
tube after each use.
4. Brewing a cup of coffee

4.1 Turn on the appliance and warm up
Plug the appliance to the electrical outlet, switch the Power Switch① to on position, press the On/Off key④ to turn on the appliance, the red light on the On/Off key twinkles. When the red light becomes solid red, the appliance is ready for making coffee.
4.2 How to use coffee powder to make coffee
(1) When the appliance is ready, place the Powder Filter

into the Filter Holder⑦ and
to make sure it is in the lowest bottom.
(2) Fill proper amount of coffee powder into the Powder Filter
○11. (Do not fill too full,
use the Powder Scoop13 to scrape the overfill, make sure the Filter Holder⑦ can properly be blocked to the Brew Head⑥, cause no clogging.)
(3) Tamp and compress coffee powder in the brewing basket using Powder Scoop

increase the utilization rate of coffee powder and strengthen the aroma of the coffee.
(4) Position the Filter Holder⑦ underneath the Brew Head⑥, then slowly turn the handle

to right until the filter is located at locked position and could not move, make sure 3 extended tongue plate on the Filter Holder⑦ are locked to the groove of Brew Head ⑥.
(5) Place the cup under the Filter holder ⑦, turn the Control Knob ③ to the coffee
position
,coffee will begin to follow. When the cup is filled to the desired level, turn the side Control Knob③ to the off position “O”. (Attention: this appliance does not stop flowing until stopped by hand)
(6) Once you have prepared the desired amount of coffee, allow the Filter Holder ⑦ to
cool down before removing the holder, using the Drip Tray⑨ to store the residual water dripped from Filter Holder⑦ and discarding powder when it stops dripping. Rinse the brew basket with water.
4.3 How to use coffee pod to make coffee
(1) When the appliance is ready, place the Pod Filter⑩ into Filter Holder⑦ to make sure
it is at the lowest bottom.

(2) Put the coffee pod into Pod Filter⑩ (make sure coffee pod is completely in the filter,
not let the corner of pod out of filter).
(3) Place the Filter Holder⑦ into the Brew Head⑥, then slowly turn the handle to right
until the filter holder is located at locked position, make sure 3 extended tongue plate on the Filter Holder⑦ are locked to the groove of Brew Head⑥.
(4) Place the cup under the Brew Basket⑦ and turn the Control Knob③ to coffee position
. Coffee will begin to flow in just seconds. When the cup is filled to the desired level, turn the side Control Knob③ to the off position “0”.
(5) Once you have prepared the desired amount of coffee, allow the Filter Holder ⑦ to
cool down before removing the holder. Notice: using the Drip Tray⑨ to store the residual water dripped from Filter Holder⑦ and discarding coffee pod when it stops dripping. Rinse the filter and brew basket with water.
4.4 How to use hard capsule to make coffee (optional)
Please follow “4.3 how to use coffee pod to make coffee” for detailed procedure. Replace

the filter with the Hard Capsule Filter12.
5. Hot water
Place the cup under the Frothing Tube⑧ when the coffee maker is in ready status. And turn the Control Knob③ to steam position . Hot water will begin to flow. When the cup is filled to the desired level, turn the side Control Knob③ to the off position “0”.
6. Steam
Place the cup under Frothing Tube⑧ when the coffee maker is in ready status. press Steam Key⑤, the coffee maker is ready for steam when the light becomes solid green. Turn the Control Knob③ to steam position
, steam will be out.
7. How to make Cappuccino

(1) Follow any procedures in step 4 “Brewing Coffee” to make one cup of coffee. (2) Fill a small stainless steel or ceramic pitcher with proper cold milk. Skim the aerosol
on the milk will be the easiest to froth.
(3) Follow step 6, wait until the ready green light becomes solid green. Hold the pitcher
under the frothing tube so that the tip of the frothing tube is slightly immersed in the milk, and turn the knob③ to steam position
.
(4) Gently move the pitcher in a circular motion around the steam nozzle for about 50 seconds
(for 120ml of milk) or longer if warmer milk is desired till satisfied foam.
(5) Turn the Control Knob③ to “0” position. Add the steamed milk to the coffee and
spoon on the frothed milk. It is 1/3 coffee, 1/3 steamed milk and 1/3 frothed milk.
(6) After making cappuccino, follow step 5 procedures to let some hot water out and
properly clean your frothing tube and wash its cap after each use to ensure it continues to work properly.

• Water reservoir is empty.

Milk is not foamy after frothing

Coffee comes out too quickly
