Plug the barrel connector into the Cradle’s Power Connector
Plug the Standard 115V Power Cord into the Power Adapter
Power Adapter

Connect Power
Local Host
Computer
Connect XP20/XP30
Place the XP20/XP30 into the cradle to charge the device.
Connect USB
For Local Communication:
Connect the USB Type-A connector to a Type-A connector on the Host Computer.
Connect the USB Type-B connector to the USB connector on the cradle.
Connect Modem
Connect one end of the standard RJ11 telephone cord to the cradle’s RJ11 connector and the other end to a standard analog wall telephone outlet.
To use the modem for HotSync operations you must disconnect the USB cable. The USB cable cannot be connected to the cradle and the computer during modem operations. If the USB cable is connected, the modem HotSync will fail.

This equipment complies with Part 68 of the FCC rules and requirements adopted by ACTA. On the bottom of this equipment is a label that
contains a product identifier in the format US:AAAEQ##TXXXX. If requested, this number must be provided to the telephone company.
The Ringer Equivalency Number (REN) determines the number of devices that may be connected to a telephone line. Excessive RENs on a telephone line may result in devices not ringing in response to an incoming call. In most areas, the sum of RENs should not exceed five (5.0).
The REN for this product is part of the product identifier that has the format US:AAAEQ##TXXXX. The digits represented by ## are the REN without a decimal point.
This equipment must be connected to the telephone network or premises wiring using a compatible modular jack (RJ11C) compliant with the applicable FCC Part 68 rules and requirements adopted by ACTA. A compliant telephone cord and modular plug are provided with this product. It is designed to be connected to a compatible modular jack that is also compliant.
If this equipment, the Modem Charging Cradle CR-XP-1M, causes harm to the telephone network, the telephone company will notify you in
advance that temporary discontinuance of service may be required. Also, you will be advised of your right to file a complaint with the FCC if you believe it is necessary.
The telephone company may make changes in its facilities, equipment, operations or procedures that could affect the operation of this
equipment. If this happens, the telephone company will provide advance notice in order for you to make necessary modifications to maintain uninterrupted service.
If trouble is experienced with this equipment, the Modem Charging Cradle CR-XP-1M, then contact JANAM (+1.877.JANAM.99) for repair or
warranty information. If the equipment is causing harm to the telephone network, the telephone company may request that you disconnect the equipment until the problem is resolved.
This equipment must not be used on party lines.
If your home has specially wired alarm equipment connected to the telephone line, ensure the installation of this modem does not disable your
alarm equipment. If you have questions about what will disable alarm equipment, consult your telephone company.
No user repairable parts are contained within this equipment.
Canada
This equipment meets the applicable Industry Canada Terminal Equipment Technical Specifications. This is confirmed by the registration number on the product label. The abbreviation “IC” before the registration number signifies that registration was performed based on a Declaration of Conformity indicating that Industry Canada technical specifications were met. It does not imply that Industry Canada approved the equipment.
