It is a complex and recreational sport product which is only recommended to the users by ages 14 and above. Users must master relevant handling technique and safety regu­lations. It may cause dangers in various degrees during operation. When operating, please pay attention to personal and other people’s safety as well as the property safety. The caution and/or attention symbols will warn you about steps that can be dangerous. Please read the instructions thoroughly carefully before proceeding. This 450SE model requires a certain degree of skill to operate and is a consumer item. Any damage or dissatisfaction as a result of accidents or modifications are not covered by and warrantee and cannot be returned for repair or replacement. Please contact our distributors for free technical consultation and parts at discounted rates when you experience problems during operation or maintenance.
Keep Away From People
This model can be high risk during flying and operating. Pleas keep away from people. Any improper assembly,damaged parts and electronic control equipment, and unskillful handling would probably result in out of control and cause accident. Please pay attention to flight safety and know self-born liability due to any accident. This helicopter model can achieve high speeds and cause dangers. Site selection is quite important. Do not operate your model near people, building, high-voltage line and trees, etc. Improper handling will lead to personal damage and other people’s property loss. Please do no operate during severe weather such as rainy and thundery day to ensure personal and model safety.
Obtain the Assistance of an Experienced Pilot
Before turning on your model and transmitter, check to make sure no one else is operating on the same frequency. Frequency interference can cause your model or other models to crash. The guidance provided by an experience pilot will be invaluable for the assembly, tuning, trimming and

Always Be Aware of the Rotating Blades
During the operation of the helicopter, the main rotor and tail rotor will be spinning at a high rate of speed. The blades are capable of inflicting serious bodily injury and damage to the environment. Be conscious of your actions, and careful to keep your face, eyes, hands, and loose clothing away from the blades. Always fly the model a safe distance from yourself and others, as well as surrounding objects. Never take your eyes off the model or leave it unattended while it is turned on. Immediately turn off the model and transmitter when you have landed the model.
Prevent Moisture
R/C models are composed of many precision electrical components. It is critical to keep the model and associated equipment away from moisture and other contaminants. The introduction or exposure to water or moistu­re in any form can cause the model to malfunction resulting in loss of use or a crash. Do not operate or expose to rain or moisture.
Keep Away From Heat
R/C models are made up of various forms of plastic. Plastic is very suscep­tible to damage or deformation due to extreme heat and could climate. Make sure not to store the model near any source of heat such as an oven, or heater. It is best to store the model indoors, in a climate-cont­rolled and room temperature environment.
Attention!
In some countries it is a legal requirement to carry third party indemnity insurance when operating a radio con­trolled model. Please ask your local dealer, governing body or your insurance company for details.
Warning!
Alway switch on the transmitter before the model. Switch the model off before the transmitter.

Maintenance of Helicopter
The most important thing for a permanent optimal success with your new helicopter is to check and maintain every component af­ter every use. Below you will find some general steps for mainte­nance:
Main rotor checklist:
1) Regularly check the main rotor on wear. Check all components of the main rotors, make sure there is no tolerance between linka­ges. All parts should run smoothly. No bearings should be knocked out.
2) The O-rings lose their elasticity over time. Replace them and any worn part on a regular basis.
3) As soon as the helicopter flies slower and does not respond spontaneously to pitch and gas pulses review the following parts immediately:
- Ball bearings
- Main rotor blades
- All plastic parts of the main rotor
4) Check very carefully whether the main rotors are balanced. Both blades must be exactly equal, an increased wear can occur and the helicopter might reacts different in difficult flight situations if not balanced.
5) The directions of the swash plate must be exactly examined. The levers should not be bent or cracked. The swashplate must always be able to follow your controls exactly. Replace the swash­plate when you discover an error.
Hull and chassis checklist:
1) Check the bearings and the support of the main rotors. After about 100 flights, you should replace these parts with new ones. If you frequently perform 3-D flights, you need to maintain more often.
2) The bearings in the hull should be checked, cleaned and lubri­cated after about 50 flights. Carry out the same procedure for the gears. Make sure everything sits secure and nothing has loosened.
3) Also, the belt drive for the tail rotor must be regular checked and examined if any damages occurred. It should not be stretched or worn, no tooth should be worn. If the belt drive is not in 100% working condition, it has to be changed.
Linkages and connections
Make sure the linkages run smoothly and are tight at the same time. Only this can ensure that the helicopter flies optimal. If you break a rod, the helicopter will crash inevitably. Replace faulty lin­kages.
Tail rotor system
1) Clean the tail rotor on a regular basis, especially if you take off and land in high grass.
2) Regularly inspect the tail rotor if it functions correctly. If you find knocked out bearings, they must be replaced.
3) After about 50 flight, carefully disassemble the tail rotor and clean all components. All worn parts should be replaced.
4) Also the tail rotor blades need to be check if they have any da­mage. If they are damaged, they need to be replaced. The tail ro­tors need to run smooth because if not, the whole helicopter might vibrate.
Note: Only a well-maintained helicopter protects you against acci­dents and the loss of the model.

Assembly of gyro
For best performance of the gyro, please follow the steps below:
1. Even though the gyro is very well protected from vibrations, it still has to be placed in the helicopter so that most vibrations are fil­tered. Otherwise the gyro might not work correctly. Check regularly if the gyro is still secure in its position.
2. Make sure the connections are not tight or tense. Use the dou­ble-sided tape provided.
3. When you assemble the gyro into the helicopter, make sure the gyro has no direct contact to metal parts. The casing does protect from electromagnetic waves and is also conductive.
4. When you assemble the gyro, make sure it is placed so that it has a 90° angle to the yaw axis (see image).
5. Even though the gyro is protected from variations of tempera­tures, it should not be assembled near a heat source. The neutral position could be influenced. For example, if you decide to fly your helicopter in the winter, make sure you let the helicopter adjust to the temperatures outside. If you take your helicopter out of the warm car or your warm house and do not let the gyro adjust to the
outside temperatures, the neutral position could be influenced. Adjusting the gyro to temperatures will take approx. 10min.
6. After switching on the helicopter, the gyro has to be initialised. This will take approx 3 sec. In this time, no stick or lever should be moved.

Starting up
The installed gyro is a mini gyro and therefore the setting buttons are very small. Be very careful when adjusting settings on the gyro and use an adequate screw driver.
1. Connect the gyro to the rear rudder channel you will later control on our transmitter. The other plug should be connected to the cable for the receiver exit which controls the delay time. Connect the servo to the exit point of the gyro.
2. Switch settings The ‚DS’ switch will enable you to adjust the servo to the gyro. For digital servos, please switch the ‚DS’ button to ‚ON’. For analogue servos use ‘OFF’ The ’NOR/REV’ switch will enable to adjust the direction of action. It will adjust the turning direction of the rear rotor servo. NOR = normal turning direction REV = reveresed turning direction If you notice that the turning direction of the servo is the opposite way, adjust by unsing the ’NOR/REV’ switch. In addition, make sure the gyro is working correctly by checking the manual of the gyro.
3. Servo deflexion (limited) The maximum servo deflexion can be programmed by the controller without setting it by the transmitter.
• With an increase of the setting,
the servo deflexion will also be increased.
• If the setting is decreased, the
servo deflexion will also be decre­ased.
When adjusting, take special care that you do not set the servo to full deflexion so that it is mechanically restricted. The servo could be damaged. On the other hand, do not set the deflexion to low so that the gyro is limited.
4. Delay Delay of the gyro can be set by the controller.
When using a digital servo, set the trimmer near ‚0’. If you use an analogue servo, it is recommended to set the delay. Optimise your settings for your system. The absorption will decrease by turning your controller setting to­wards zero, turning it towards 100 will result in higher absorption.

After switching on, the gyro will initialise, the model and the control levers on the transmitter should not be moved.

One of the levers or the models was moved during initialisation. Switch off and retry.

The gyro is not receiving a signal, the servo can not operate.

When the general flight mode is switched to 3D mode, the stick position should be at throttle. 70%, otherwise it will cause the gear stuck. When the mode is switched from 3D to general 70%, otherwise it will cause the gear stuck. When the mode is switched from 3D to general helicop­ter. Under 3D mode, it can obtain maximum power with the stick at the lowest position. It can make inverted flight and other stunt actions when the mode is switched to 3D.

Note:
• If the pitch angle is set too high, then the helicopter can not
move properly resulting in shorter flying time.
• If your set for a high rotor RPM, then a high pitch is
recommended..
• If unsure, it is always recommended to set a low pitch. The
result is that a higher rotor head RPM is achieved and the heli copter will fly more stable.
Important:
When flying 3D, secure the canopy with an additional screw at the bottom of the canopy. Otherwise it can come lose and dama­ge the helicopter.

Main Rotor Adjustments
Adjustment Mark
When replacing the main rotor, it is necessary to balance the blades first. Screw the rotor blades together as in the illustration. The rotor blades are properly balanced when they are suspended exactly horizontally. If not, the blades are not in equilibrium. This is corrected by applying tape to lighter blade.
Current track settings To set the current track, attach a blue and red piece of tape to the rotor blades. If the current track is deflected, then it has to be adjusted by the control rod link.
Check the following components if the drive system is not working properly:
• Check the battery pack. Make sure it is fully charged and has enough capacity.
• Check the pitch settings.
• Check the angle of the main rotor and make sure it can move smoothly.
• Make sure there are no vibrations.
• Check the tension of the drive belt.

Instructions for the use of LiPo Batteries
Technical data
Case:
The case of the cells consists of an aluminium-plasticfoil. This foil should not be damaged under any circumstance, because this will lead to a damaged cell. Take care of sufficient protection (i.e. vib­rations) in the model. If damaged, they might leak, avoid contact under all circumstances.
Overcharging:
If charging does not stop because of any damage to the char­ger the battery may catch fire. Therefore supervise the charging process frequently.
Speed charging:
Speed charging is not possible. The charging voltage for these cells must be followed.
Charging temperature: 0 to +45 degrees outside temperature. During charge, the bat­tery should not get warmer than 70 °C. Supervise the charging process with help of the JAMARA Thermo Scan 3000 ( Non-touch infrared thermometer) Order No. 17 0133.
Discharging temperature:
-20 to +60 degrees: Flying in winter is therefore possible. At tem­peratures beneath 0 degrees, it is likely that the capacity may be reduced by approx. 20% and the discharge level may be smaller as well
Lifetime:
Very user-dependent.
Storage:
The cells need to be between half full and full charged. The sto­raging of empty cells will lead to their destruction. New cells are therefore half full.
Charging time:
Charging will take approx. 20 min. The incl. charger has an automatic charging stop.
Important Notice
Read the manual and the safety precautions for the Lithium-Polymer-Cells properly.
- Litium-Polymer-Cells have no memory-effect
- Lithium-Polymer-Cells are recharged with a constant voltage and a constant power
- Lithium-Polymer-Cells have a small self-discharging Voltage
Liability exclusion
Jamara e.K. assumes no liability in case of wrong usage or operation of the product, respectively of all injuries. The customer alone is in charge of the cell, this includes from the recharging process up to the choice of place of use. If the customer is not satisfied with the terms of usage, he may use his right to return the unused product to the dealer.
Lithium-Polymer-Cells may only be stored and recharged, on fireproof non-flamable grounds. Jamara e.K. recommends to recharge the cells only with the transmitter. When using an other charger or when using the permitted charger incorrect, no liability can be taken. Because of their enormous power-compactivity Lithium-Polymer-Cells are flamea­ble when damaged. This can happen through extrem overcharging, a crash or a mechanical damage etc. Therefore, it is extremly important to supervise the recharging process. After a crash the cell/pack should be checked carefully. For example the cell/pack could have been da­maged, but doesn‘t heat up before 30 minutes. So, in case of a dama­ge at one pack or a cell always strictly supervise.
If the cell overheats, swells, burns or smoke is coming from it, do not touch it under any circumstances. Keep away in a safe distance and prepare adequate extinguishing agents such as dry powder or sand.
Safety precausions
Because of the high power compactivity (up to 150 Wh/kg) the cells are quite dangerous and need special care! The company Jamara excludes explicitly, all types of liability for damages, that can occure when using the Lithium-Polymer-Cells unproperly.
- When using the battery incorrect there is a risk of getting fire- or acid-injuries.
- Overcharging, too high power, or discharging at low level destroys the cell.
- Protect from mechanical stress (squeezing, pushing, bending, drilling).
- Never open or cut open, do not throw into fire, keep away from children.
- Handle damaged or leeking battery with care. Injuries or damages to the gear can occure.
- Under no circumstance short-circuit the device and always watch polarity.
- Protect batteries from heat above 65 °C , mount away from hot objects (for example exhaust pipe).
- Before storing batteries (for example in the winter) charge the battery. Do not store in fully charged or in non charged state!
- If stored over a longer period of time, observe the power level occasionally.
- The contents of the cell is harmfull for skin and eye.
- If the content comes into contact with skin, clean with plenty of water and take off moisted clothes.
- If the content comes into contact with the eyes, clean with plenty of water and consult a doctor.

Charging

When starting to charge, insert the plug to the socket first and then connect the charging/discharging connector (not included).
Please pay attention to the charge condition during the charging process. After charging,disconnect the battery and charge connector (not included). Overcharging or charging the battery improperly may cause dangerous overheated situation. If battery’s temperature exceeds 45° please stop charging imme­diately.
In order to get optimum efficiency please do not charge the bat­tery immediately after use. Please wait until the battery cool off, which helps to extend its lifetime and performance.

Warning!
1. When assembling, please make sure the strap veer 90 degrees.
2. Strap Tightness: It is recommended that after the assembly of tail boom, tension of the strap be increased a little to prevent strap shock and skid of rotation from friction injury.
