CANblue II

Firmware Update

Dependent on the product version of the CANblue II different firmware versions must be used:

• For CANblue II devices with product versions 1.x use firmware version V2.00.xx.

• For CANblue II devices with product versions 2.x use firmware version V2.01.xx.

The product version is printed on the label on the back of the device.

For product versions 1.x:

► Contact Ixxat support for update files.

For product versions 2.0 and higher:

► Download the latest update files from support area on www.ixxat.com.

► Restore the CANblue II to factory settings (see User Manual CANblue II for further information).

► Make sure that the CANblueCon configuration tool is closed.

► Install a virtual Config COM port (see User Manual CANblue II for further information).

► Open Command Prompt (cmd.exe) and navigate to the folder FW Update in the folder of the downloaded

update files.

► Call FW-Update <COM-PORT> with the COM port in use (e.g. FW-Update 5).

→ New firmware version and firmware version of the CANblue II are displayed.

→ Firmware is updated.

→ When the update is completed, the CANblue II automatically restarts.

→ LED CAN and LED Mode are flashing red and green during the restart.

► To check the firmware version enter command D VERSION in the CANblueCon configuration tool.
