INTERIOR DESIGNER TIPS
Ϟ When placing a mirror above a vanity, console table, arm chair or fire place - hang your mirror 6” – 8” above the
visual line. This will protect your mirror from water splashes as well
Ϟ Choose a mirror that is 1-2 inches shorter than the width of the countertop of your bathroom vanity
Ϟ Make sure that the mirror is tall enough so that your head doesn’t get cut off when you look into it
Ϟ When hanging your mirror above a nightstand, centre the mirror above the night stand
Ϟ If your mirror is going on a blank wall, centre it horizontally on the wall space and hang it so the vertical centre is
at eye level- usually 60” from the floor
Ϟ Hang mirrors with a buddy who can hold things up and give the chance to ‘eyeball’ your placement
Ϟ ADA COMPLIANT MIRRORS – Just make the bottom edge of the reflective surface is no higher than 40” off the
ground
