29. MUTE: to mute the audio/ resume normal audio.

31. RETURN: to go back to disc main menu (with PBC on)

33. REPEAT: to choose repeat modes: single/all/off.

Connection to Television
There are several possible configurations, depending on your television:

In stop mode, press the key from the remote control to switch the input source between Disc and USB.

4. There are 3 Repeat modes and 3 Mode states at the right side. Repeat Single is to repeat single track. Repeat Folder is to repeat tracks in the whole folder. Repeat Off is to cancel repeat. Mode normal is to play normally. Shuffle on is to play randomly. Music intro is to play the prelude only. Notes: To play randomly, preset repeat state as “Repeat: off” at the right side, mode state as “Shuffle on”. Press NEXT from the remote control to play without sequence. For DVD Program

Note: If song is being played while programming, press STOP button to stop current playing before you choose program playing.
Note: Ensure you have chosen Edit Mode before clearing program.
Remark: CVBS: Composite Video. Set the video output to interlacing component output.
YUV
Notes: It must be in stop status when choosing NTSC PAL Auto TV system.
Notes: It must be in stop status when selecting CVBS or YUV video output.
YUV: Set the video output to YUV output.
1) Power-on the unit.
2) Make sure no disc was played inside the tray.
3) Insert a USB key inside the connector.
4) Press the USB key from the remote control to start.
Remark: Depending on the capacity of the device, the reading can take more than 1 minute before lauching the video.
The unit cannot read my USB device.
- Once you have plugged your device to the unit, you may need to switch on the USB device before it can operate.
- This unit does not support a direct USB connection with a computer. You need to use a USB device, a MP3 player .
- Check that the files system of your USB device is formatted into the FAT or FAT 32 format. USB device formatted into NTFS are not compatible with this unit. Caution: if you attempt to modify your file system, formatting your device will erase all data. Please refer to your USB device’s instruction manual first.
- Warning: Connect your USB device directly to the USB port of the device. Using an extension
cable is not recommended and may cause interference and failure of data transfer.

6.3.1 Digital Output
Selecting the Digital Output setting allows the user to adjust the audio output on S/PDIF ports to work in harmony with the audio equipment (e.g. receiver, speakers) connected to the player. Off: Digital audio output is disabled. PCM: Select this option when you are going to use stereo signals (2 channels). You should combine this option with “lower sampling rate”, which is explained further on. Raw: If you select this option the player will play the DVD’s original audio track. Use this option when you want to use the Dolby Digital AC3 signals through the optical or coaxial audio output.
6.3.2 Night Mode
This listening mode is most suitable at night for softest audio output and least disturbance.
CVBS: Composite Video. Set the video output to interlacing component output. YUV: Set the video output to YUV output.

Please consult the following section when you encounter problems using this DVD player. If the player ceases to function properly after some wrong settings, you may restore the factory defaults as described in Section 8.5.1 on the previous page. In all cases, for your safety, never attempt to open the unit by yourself given the presence of dangerous voltage inside. Only the technicians of the after-sale service are authorized to open and repair it.
NO PICTURE AND NO SOUND
- Press the Standby button to turn on the player.
- Check the power outlet and make sure that the plug is firmly inserted.
- Ensure the power cord is not damaged.
THERE IS SOUND BUT NO PICTURE
- Make sure you have connected the audio cable to the audio input (instead of an audio output) on your television.
- Check if the sound is cut or reduced to minimum.
THERE IS PICTURE BUT NO SOUND
- You should set the video mode on your television to be YUV or AV-IN (Audio/Video Input).
DISTORTED OR BLACK AND WHITE PICTURE
- Choose the video mode (NTSC or PAL)
by pressing the N/
P button on the remote control. You
can change the default value of this setting in the player’s video menu.
CHOPPING SOUND OR IMAGE DURING PLAYBACK
- Check if the disc is not scratched or damaged. Try another disc.
- Make sure the YUV and the Audio/Video cables are connected firmly and correctly.
DISPLAY OF MESSAGE “NO DISC” OR “BAD DISC”
- Make sure you insert the disc on the correct side.
- Check if the disc is not scratched or damaged. Try another disc.
- Make sure that the disc format is supported by this player.
- The message may also appear in case of overheating. In this case, turn the unit off for approximately an hour. Also leave sufficient ventilation space around the unit, as described at the beginning of this manual.
REMOTE CONTROL PROBLEM
- Check battery status. If necessary, replace by two new AAA batteries.
- Make sure batteries are inserted by following the +/- polarity signs.
- Remove all the objects between the front of the DVD player and remote control.
MALFUNCTION
- Turn off the player then turn it on again. If necessary, disconnect it from the wall outlet.
THE DISC IS STUCK IN THE DISC TRAY
- Turn off the player. Then turn it on and immediately press the OPEN/CLOSE button on the remote control.
