markings on the tool provide information for avoiding hazards and unsafe practices related to
the use of this tool. Observe all of the safety information provided.

Use this tool for manufacturer’s intended purpose only. Use
other than that which is described in this manual can result in

1. Insert the plug end into a 120V power source. The LED (Power) indicator will be steady green
indicating the charger is now in “stand-by” mode and ready to charge the battery. Do not plug the
charger into a generator as this will likely cause the fuse in the charger to short, and will not operate.
2. To charge a drained battery, insert the battery into the charger. The LED indicator shows a steady
amber while charging. A depleted battery will be completely charged in approximately 50-70 minutes.
The LED indicator will show a steady green when the battery is fully charged.
3. If the LED indicator goes out or is flashing quick amber, this could be a possible short in the battery
circuit, or a problem with the charger itself. It is best to consult the factory at 1-800-860-3713.for service
if such a condition occurs.

Attaching the Battery Cartridge
1. While pressing the latch, pull out the battery cartridge. To replace the battery cartridge, push the new
cartridge firmly into place.
2. After inserting a battery cartridge, check that it is securely in place by pulling gently. Do not press the
latch when pulling the cartridge.
Trigger Release and Button
1. The ram advances when the trigger is pressed and stops when the trigger is released.
2. To retract the ram, push the release.
Compression
1. Select the appropriate size connector for the wire.
2. Insert the wire into the connector. Use the window on
the connector to ensure the wire is
fully inserted.
3. Push and turn the lock pin clockwise to open latch on
tool and place connector inside the
crimping area.
4. Close the latch and push the lock pin and turn counter
clockwise.
5. Press the trigger to advance the ram just before the
crimping nib is in contact with the
connector.
6. Position the crimper over either Dot crimping areas,
locate over the middle of the crimping nib as shown in
Figure 1.

7. Making sure the connector is still in the
correct position; press the trigger until the
compression is completed. A series of clicks will
be heard followed by a release in pressure
when compression is completed.
8. Press the release button to retract the ram.
The ram continues to retract while the release
button is pressed.
9. Slide the connector or tool to the to the
second Dot. Position it so that the next dot is
located within the middle of the crimping nib as
shown in Figure 2.
Note: Some Connectors only require one crimp.

for crimping number instructions.
10. Complete the second crimp following the
instructions stated in Step Number 6.
11. Remove the connector from the tool.

Maintenance and Inspection
1. Daily maintenance is required to ensure that the tool is kept in good working condition.
2. Check pressure of tool with factory approved pressure gauge (Semi-annually).
3. Do not store the tool in a humid environment.
4. Wipe away any excess oil with a soapy cloth.
5. Provided that maintenance of the tool is carried out regularly, the tool should provide
many years of service.
Precautions for the Tool
1. Always point the tool AWAY from other people.
2. If the tool is stored for an extended period at a temperature of less than 25º F (-5ºC), the tool
should be allowed to return to room temperature to ensure smooth operation Use the tool
only after it has been at room temperature for 1 hour.
3. Do not drop the tool. Dropping the tool may damage the hydraulic circuit and result in the
tool not functioning correctly.
4. Keep the head and ram clean and free of debris. Solvents can be used to clean the head, but
should not be used on the plastic body. Use soap and water to clean the body.
5. Do not use tool for continuous use. If any sign of overheating, allow the tool to cool for 15
minutes.
6. Do not allow tool to be submerged in water. The tool may be used in damp or wet
environments. However, it is recommended for tool to be air-dried before use.
Precautions for the Battery Cartridge
1. Do not short circuit the contacts or expose the cartridge to water, oil or solvents.
2. Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the battery cartridge or dispose of in a fire.
3. Do not drop or otherwise abuse the battery cartridge.
4. Do not leave the cartridge in locations where it will be exposed to a temperature greater
than 140ºF (60ºC) for an extended period.
5. The battery has a limited life. When the crimping capacity becomes about 1/2 that of the
original capacity, the battery should be replaced.
6. If the battery cartridge is stored without being charged, natural drainage will cause the
power to be reduced. The battery should be charged every 3 months if not in use.

Precautions for the Charger
1. The LED indicator lights up amber and remains lit when the unit starts charging a battery
cartridge. The indicator turns green when charging is completed.
2. This unit is for charging battery cartridges BP-80, BP-70E, BP-70EI and BP-70MH only. Do not
use the charger for any other devices.
3. Allow battery cartridges to cool before charging. Allow at least 15 minutes between charges
when charging several cartridges in succession.
4. Charge batteries at an ambient temperature of 50º-95ºF (10º-35º C). Charging time is
approximately 50-70 minutes for the BP-80, 50 minutes for the BP-70E and BP-70EI, and 70
minutes for the BP-70MH.
5. Never short circuit the output terminals.
6. Do not expose the charger to water, oil or solvents.
7. Do not disassemble, attempt to modify, drop or otherwise abuse charger.

LIMITED WARRANTY: ITOOLCO WCT1000
iTOOLco warrants all new WCT1000 12 Ton Crimpers covered by his agreement, when properly used, to
be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for which it is intended
for a period of one year from date of delivery by the dealer. Date of delivery shall be the date product is
placed in possession of the user. NORMAL WEAR FROM USE IS NOT PART OF THIS WARRANTY. This
limited warranty is extended to the original user only and is not transferrable to, nor enforceable by any
other person.
iTOOLco will replace free of charge any part(s) of the product found to be defective when such part(s) is
returned to iTOOLco at the address shown below, freight prepaid. If the part(s) if found to be defective,
iTOOLco will refund freight charges paid by you in retuning the defective part(s) and prepay
replacement part(s) freight charges. iTOOLco will not be responsible for more than replacement of any
defective part(s) and standard freight charges (parcel post or UPS ground rate) of any part(s) found to be
defective.
THIS IS THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY. ITOOLCO SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL
OR CONSEUQNTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY DEFECTS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY OR ANY
IMPLIED WARRANTY APPLICABLE TO THE PRODUCT INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PROPERTY
DAMAGE, LOSS OF USE OF PRODUCT, LOSS OF TIME, LOSS OF PROFITS, INCONVENIENCE, COMMERCIAL
LOSS, LABOR COSTS, SERVICE TRIPS, AND MILEAGE.
Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may
not apply to you.
Dealer/Distributor Warranty Claim Procedure
1. All warranty claims must be pre-approved by iTOOLco Warranty Department PRIOR to starting
any warranty work. Warranty work performed without prior approval will not be considered.
2. All claims must be handled through dealer/distributor.
3. Written approval must be received from iTOOLco before return of merchandise. A Return
Authorization is to be returned with the merchandise which is sent back.
4. All parts must be returned to iTOOLco at the address shown below, freight prepaid.
5. The serial number of the product and the date of delivery must accompany the part(s) being
returned.
6. If the part(s) is found to have failed because of a defect in material or workmanship,
replacement will be made on a no-charge basis, and the part(s) returned, freight prepaid.
Standard freight charges (parcel post or UPS ground rate) incurred in returning the part(s) will
be refunded.
7. For reasons of expediency, replacement and/or repair part(s) may be shipped as soon as
possible and billed to the dealer/distributor. When part(s) is returned, if it is covered under
warrant, credit will be issued for the part(s) and freight charges.
8. All parts found to be defective shall be retained by and shall become the property of iTOOLco.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from
state to state.
