1. FCC INFORMATION

READ THIS BEFORE INSTALLATION

Your telephone conforms to federal regulations, and you can connect it to most telephone
lines, However, each device you connect to the phone line draws power from the phone line.
We refer to this power draw as the device’s ringer equivalence number, or REN. The REN is
shown on the label of your phone

If you are using more than one phone or other devices on the line, add up all the RENS. If
the total is more than five, your phone might not ring in rural areas, a total REN of three might
impair ringer operation.

FCC STATEMENT

This telephone complies with part 68 of FCC Rules. You must, upon request, provide the
FCC Registration Number and the REN to your phone company.

These numbers are located on the label of your phone.

Note: You must not connect your phone to any of the followings:

• Coin-operated system

• Patty-line systems

• Most electronic key phone systems

Your telephone operates on standard radio frequencies, as allocated by the FCC.

Even though the access protection code prevents unauthorized use of your phone line, it is
possible for other radio units operating on similar frequencies within a certain area to
unintentionally intercept your conversations and/or cause interference. This lack of privacy can
occur with any cordless phone.

1) This equipment complies with Part 68 of the FCC rules and the requirements adopted by

the ACTA. On the bottom of this equipment is a label that contains, among other

information, a product identifier in the format US:47GW400B35293-4. If requested, this
number must be provided to the telephone company.

2) An applicable certification jacks Universal Service Order Codes (USOC) for the equipment

is provided RJ11C in the packaging with each piece of approved terminal equipment.

3) A plug and jack used to connect this equipment to the premises wiring and telephone

network must comply with the applicable FCC Part 68 rules and requirements adopted by
the ACTA. A compliant telephone cord and modular plug is provided with this product. It is
designed to be connected to a compatible modular jack that is also compliant. See
installation instructions for details.

4) The REN is used to determine the number of devices that may be connected to a

telephone line. Excessive RENs on a telephone line may result in the devices not ringing in
response to an incoming call. In most but not all areas, the sum of RENs should not
exceed five (5.0). To be certain of the number of devices that may be connected to a line,
as determined by the total RENs, contact the local telephone company. For products
approved after July 23, 2001, the REN for this product is part of the product identifier that
has the format US:47GW400B35293-4. The digits represented by 0.0B are the REN
without a decimal point. For earlier products, the REN is separately shown on the label.

5) If this equipment 35293-4 causes harm to the telephone network, the telephone company

will notify you in advance that temporary discontinuance of service may be required. But if
advance notice isn't practical, the telephone company will notify the customer as soon as
possible. Also, you will be advised of your right to file a complaint with the FCC if you
believe it is necessary.

6) The telephone company may make changes in its facilities, equipment, operations or
procedures that could affect the operation of the equipment. If this happens the
telephone company will provide advance notice in order for you to make necessary
modifications to maintain uninterrupted service.

7) Should you experience trouble with this equipment, please contact Unical Enterprices
Inc. [phone] for repair or warranty information. If the equipment is causing harm
to the telephone network, the telephone company may request that you disconnect the
equipment until the problem is resolved.

have questions about what will disable alarm equipment, consult your telephone company

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using your telephone equipment, basis safety precautions should always be followed to

1. Read and understand all instructions.

2. Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the product.

3. Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do n0ot use liquid cleaners or

9. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble this product, but take it to a

qualified serviceman when some service or repair work is required. Opening or removing
covers may expose you to dangerous voltages or other risks, incorrect reassembly can
cause electric shock when the appliance is subsequently used.

FCC AND OTHER INFORMATION

If requested by the telephone company, inform them as follows:

RINGER EQUIVALENCE NO. (REN) :

The R.E.N is useful in determining the quantity of devices you may connect to your telephone
line and still have all of those devices ring when your telephone number is called. In most, but
not all areas, the sum of the REN’s of all devices connected to one line should not exceed five
(5.0). To be certain of the number of devices you may connect to your line, as determined by
the REN, you should contact your local telephone company to determine the maximum REN
for your calling area.

In the event terminal equipment calluses harm to the telephone network, the telephone
company should notify the customer, if possible, that service may be stopped. However,
where prior notice is impractical, the company may temporarily cease service providing that
they

3.2. DEFAULT SETTINGS:

3.2.1. Entry time-outs:

Complex operational sequences requiring multiple key presses, usually ending in a
confirmatory key press, shall time out if not continued within a reasonable period.
Unless otherwise specified, this period shall be 10 seconds.

3.2.2. INITIALIZE THE HFFANDSET TO THE BASE

3.2.2.1 Make sure power is supplied to the base, the battery is installed in the handset,

and the base is connected to the phone line

3.3 RINGING AND TONES:

3.3.1. Warning tone:

Low Battery Indicator : The handset shall provide an audible and visual alert,

when its battery charge will soon be inadequate to continue
conversation.

Out of Range Indicator : The handset shall provide an audible and visual alert, when

the distance between handset and base does not permit
adequate transmission quality.

3.3.2. Ring:

3.3.2.1. Incoming call Ring : Shall meet the 1.5 Standards & References.

3.3.2.2. Distinctive Ring from CO:

To support telephone-company-supplied Distinctive Ringing features, the unit
ringer(s) shall reproduce ring cadences present on the telephone line,

according to detailed requirements referenced by Distinctive Ring Timing, in

standard specification

3.3.2.3. Ring Tone

This ring will alert the other party to page from B/U,. The page function will operate
independently to the ringer on or off setting. This ring shall be distinctive from
incoming call ring.

3.3.3. Tone Feedback on Key Press/Hold

When the base or handset accepts key inputs, appropriate feedback shall be
produced by handset. All feedback tones shall be the same frequency of 2.40 kHz ±
2%.
Tone feedback shall be heard during temporary tone action in pulse mode.

3.3.3.1. Key Tone:

Shall be produced in response to most accepted key presses.

3.3.3.2. Acknowledgment Tone

Shall be produced in response to acknowledging a function that may result in
alteration of the status.

3.3.3.3. Confirmation Tone

Shall be produced when a key press is accepted, completing a complex
sequence and altering the current status setting.

2.3.3.4. Reject Tone or Error Tone:

Deny the key action or erroneous key action. Reject tone is 3 beats.

If the key action will result in no other action, no tone shall be produced.

3.5 . OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTION:

3.5.1. Handset:

The unit shall provide audible feedback for keys depressed.

the caller id record while in STANDBY mode.

Flash: Pressing the [FLASH/Edit] key during off-hook employ

an on-hook transition for the time period. During the flash
interval, the phone will not respond to any key press except
[TALK] key or placing the handset on the cradle to on-hook
mode.

Pressing the [FLASH/Edit] key gives a 600mS break signal.

(Default setting).

ID Matching of Handset 1

 Press and hold the [PAGE] button on BASE, until

complete registered all handsets.

 Press and hold the [Trans/ Save] button on handset,

unit you can heard a beep sound. And the LCD will

be displayed [HS-1],[HS- 2],[HS-3].

Voice Mail

If unit has messages (signified by a blinking RED light on
handset). Press the [Menu/Voice Mail] key and then stored
access number will be automatically dialed on Off Hook mode

PROGRAM mode if ON HOOK and None on display –

This key shall step through the following menu mode

Flash Time, Voice Mail, Tone/Pulse, Area Code,
Handset Name,

Press the [MENU/Voice Mail] key until the display shows

During Post-Intercom Mode (Off-hook mode)

During telephone conversation, a call transfer to other
extension in the same multi handset is possible.
