1. FCC INFORMATION
READ THIS BEFORE INSTALLATION
Your telephone conforms to federal regulations, and you can connect it to most telephone lines, However, each device you connect to the phone line draws power from the phone line. We refer to this power draw as the device’s ringer equivalence number, or REN. The REN is shown on the label of your phone
If you are using more than one phone or other devices on the line, add up all the RENS. If the total is more than five, your phone might not ring in rural areas, a total REN of three might impair ringer operation.

FCC STATEMENT

This telephone complies with part 68 of FCC Rules. You must, upon request, provide the FCC Registration Number and the REN to your phone company.
These numbers are located on the label of your phone.
Note: You must not connect your phone to any of the followings:
• Coin-operated system
• Patty-line systems
• Most electronic key phone systems
Your telephone operates on standard radio frequencies, as allocated by the FCC.
Even though the access protection code prevents unauthorized use of your phone line, it is possible for other radio units operating on similar frequencies within a certain area to unintentionally intercept your conversations and/or cause interference. This lack of privacy can occur with any cordless phone.
1) This equipment complies with Part 68 of the FCC rules and the requirements adopted by
the ACTA. On the bottom of this equipment is a label that contains, among other
information, a product identifier in the format US:47GW400B35293-4. If requested, this number must be provided to the telephone company.
2) An applicable certification jacks Universal Service Order Codes (USOC) for the equipment
is provided RJ11C in the packaging with each piece of approved terminal equipment.
3) A plug and jack used to connect this equipment to the premises wiring and telephone
network must comply with the applicable FCC Part 68 rules and requirements adopted by the ACTA. A compliant telephone cord and modular plug is provided with this product. It is designed to be connected to a compatible modular jack that is also compliant. See installation instructions for details.

4) The REN is used to determine the number of devices that may be connected to a
telephone line. Excessive RENs on a telephone line may result in the devices not ringing in response to an incoming call. In most but not all areas, the sum of RENs should not exceed five (5.0). To be certain of the number of devices that may be connected to a line, as determined by the total RENs, contact the local telephone company. For products approved after July 23, 2001, the REN for this product is part of the product identifier that has the format US:47GW400B35293-4. The digits represented by 0.0B are the REN without a decimal point. For earlier products, the REN is separately shown on the label.
5) If this equipment 35293-4 causes harm to the telephone network, the telephone company
will notify you in advance that temporary discontinuance of service may be required. But if advance notice isn't practical, the telephone company will notify the customer as soon as possible. Also, you will be advised of your right to file a complaint with the FCC if you believe it is necessary.
6) The telephone company may make changes in its facilities, equipment, operations or procedures that could affect the operation of the equipment. If this happens the telephone company will provide advance notice in order for you to make necessary modifications to maintain uninterrupted service.
7) Should you experience trouble with this equipment, please contact Unical Enterprices Inc. (626)965-5588 for repair or warranty information. If the equipment is causing harm to the telephone network, the telephone company may request that you disconnect the equipment until the problem is resolved.
8) Please follow instructions for repairing if any (e.g. battery replacement section); otherwise do not alternate or repair any parts of device except specified.
9) Connection to party line service is subject to state tariffs. Contact the state public utility commission, public service commission or corporation commission for information.
10) NOTICE: If your home has specially wired alarm equipment connected to the telephone line, ensure the installation of this 35293-4 does not disable your alarm equipment. If you
have questions about what will disable alarm equipment, consult your telephone company or a qualified installer.
11) This equipment is hearing aid compatible.

Check with local codes for possible special disposal instructions.
3. Do not open or mutilate the battery (ies). Released electrolyte is corrosive and may cause
damage to the eyes or skin. In may be toxic if swallowed.
4. Exercise care in handling batteries in order not to short the battery with conducting materials
such as rings, bracelets, and keys. The battery or conductor may overheat and cause burns.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using your telephone equipment, basis safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric chock and injury to persons, including the following :
1. Read and understand all instructions.
2. Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the product.
3. Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do n0ot use liquid cleaners or
aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning.
4. Do not use this product near water, for example, near a bathe tub, wash bowl, kitchen sink,
or laundry tub. In a wet basement, or near a swimming pool.
5. Do not place this product on an unstable cart, stand, or table. The product may fall, causing
serious damage to the product.
6. Slots and openings in the cabinet and the back or bottom are provided for ventilation, to
protect if from overheating, these openings must not be blocked or covered. The openings should never be block by placing the product on the bed, sofa rug, or other similar surface. This product should never be placed in a built-in installation unless proper ventilation is provided.
7. This product should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the
marking label. If you not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your dealer or local power company.
8. Never push objects of any kind into this product through cabinet slots as they may touch
dangerous voltage points or short out parts that could result in a risk of fire or electric chock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the product.

9. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble this product, but take it to a
qualified serviceman when some service or repair work is required. Opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltages or other risks, incorrect reassembly can cause electric shock when the appliance is subsequently used.
10. Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualified service personnel
under the following conditions;
A. When the power supply cord or plug is damaged or frayed.
B. If liquid has been spilled into the product.
C. If the product has been exposed to rain or water.
D. If the product does not operate normally by following the operating instructions. Adjust
only those control, that are covered by the operating instructions because improper adjustment of other controls may result in damage and will often require extensive work by a qualified technician to restore the product to normal operation.
E. If the product has been dropped or the cabinet has been damaged.
F. If the product exhibits distinct change in performance.
11. Avoid using a telephone (other than a cordless type) during an electrical storm. There may be a remote risk of electric shock from lightning.
12. Do not use the telephone to report a gas leak in the vicinity of the leak.

FCC AND OTHER INFORMATION
If requested by the telephone company, inform them as follows:
• FCC registration no.
(found on the bottom of the unit)
• Ringer equivalence
(found on the bottom of the unit)
• The particular telephone line to which the equipment is connected.
This unit must not be connected to a coin operated line. If you are on a party line, check with your local telephone company.
RINGER EQUIVALENCE NO. (REN) :
The R.E.N is useful in determining the quantity of devices you may connect to your telephone line and still have all of those devices ring when your telephone number is called. In most, but not all areas, the sum of the REN’s of all devices connected to one line should not exceed five (5.0). To be certain of the number of devices you may connect to your line, as determined by the REN, you should contact your local telephone company to determine the maximum REN for your calling area.
In the event terminal equipment calluses harm to the telephone network, the telephone company should notify the customer, if possible, that service may be stopped. However, where prior notice is impractical, the company may temporarily cease service providing that they
1. Promptly notify the customer.
2. Give the customer an opportunity to correct the problem with their equipment.
3. Inform the customer of the right to bring a complaint to the federal communication
commission pursuant to procedures set out in FCC rules and regulations subpart E of Part68
The telephone company may make changes in its communications facilities, equipment, operations or procedures, where such action is reasonably required in the operation of its business and is not inconsistent with the rules and regulations in FCC Part 68.
If such changes can be reasonably expected to render any customer terminal equipment incompatible with telephone company communications facilities, or require modification or alteration of such terminal equipment, or otherwise materially affect its use or performance, the customer shall be given adequate notice in writing. To allow the customer an opportunity to maintain uninterrupted service.
