FAULTS AND DAMAGES
If there is any r eason to suspect t hat the safety of t he device has been co mpromised, it must be wi thdrawn from use an d removed from any ex-h azardous areas immed iately.
Measures m ust be taken to preve nt any accidental res tarting of the de vice. The safe ty of the device may b e compromised, if f or example:
Malfunctions occur. The housing of the device shows damage. The device has been subjecte d to excessive loads. The device has been stored improp erly. Markings or labels on the device are illegible.
We recomme nd that a device display ing errors or in wh ich an error is suspec ted be sent back to i.safe MOBILE G mbH to be checked .

Inside ex-hazardous areas the covers of all inter faces must be closed.
To ensure the IP-protection, it has to be ensured that the all gaskets are present and
functional. IP protec tion is not guaranteed anymore if gaps are visible.
The device may only be charged outsid e ex-hazardous areas using the i.safe
PROTECTOR 2.0 or i.safe PROTE CTOR 3.0 USB-cable or other equipment approved
by i.safe MOBILE GmbH .
Physical connections to other equipme nt are only allowed outside ex- hazardous
areas using the i.safe PROTECTOR 2.0 or i. safe PROTECTOR 3.0 USB-cable or other
equipment approved by i.safe MOBI LE GmbH.
The device may be charged only at ambient temperatur es in between +5°C ... +35°C.
The device must not be expose d to abrasive acids or bases.
The device must not be taken into zones 0 or 20.
Only accessories approved by i.safe MOBI LE GmbH may be used.
In case the device has a hand strap, it is not allowed to do the adjustment of the hand
strap in ex-hazardous areas.
FURTHER SAFETY ADVISES
Do not touch the screen of the device with sharp objec ts. Dust particles and nails may
scratch the screen. Please maintain the screen clean . Remove dust on the screen with
a soft cloth gently, and do not scratch the screen.
Do not put the device in environments with excessive temp eratures, as this could lead

MAINTENANCE/REPAIR
Please not e any legal requireme nts for periodic insp ection. The devi ce itself has no user-s erviceable p arts. It is recom mended to perfor m
inspec tions according to the s afety regulatio ns and advises. If ther e is a problem with the de vice, please conta ct your vendor or consult t he service cente r. If your device is in n eed of repair, you can either co ntact the ser vice center or your vendor.
BATTERY
The devi ce may only be charged at am bient temperature s in a range from +5°C ... +35°C.
INSTALLATION OF THE MICRO SIM CARD
The devi ce features a micro SIM card sl ot. The slot is accessib le on the top of the device (see p age 2).

INSTALLATION OF THE microSD CARD
The device featur es a microSD card slot (up to 32GB). The slot for the microSD c ard is on the top of the devi ce (see page 2). If you want to remove the microSD card, p lease make sure that the card is n ot in use by the device. To remove the microSD card foll ow the instruc tions given in <Settings> <Storage>.
WARN ING
Do not tr y to insert or remove th e microSD card when any ext ernal power supply is connec ted, otherwis e the microSD card may be dam aged.
