1. (What is) i-Talk
i-Talk is a innovative desktop voice communication solution, performing various personal CTI functions, through two-way digital communication with a PC, as well as conventional telephone functions, such as :
① phonebook DB, indexing, schedule dialing, recent call status ② voice recording during telephone conversation ③ ARS, Automatic call-recording during user absence ④ music message transfer, talk over music, etc.
Moreover, using PCTI (Personal Computer Telephony Integration) technology, i-Talk provides easy access to Internet phone ISP website reducing tele-communication cost and hands-free premium using ergonomically designed wireless earset (or wired headset).
Main Function < Conventional telephone & call recording > You can use i-Talk same as a conventional telephone
without any PC set-up, and using included application program, you can easily record voice conversation while talking over phone by clicking record button.
< Dialing Manager >
Phonebook : Effective phonebook DB control and easy calling by one-click on recipient name.
Latest calling list : Latest calling records are listed on screen for the user to easily trace the calls.
Indexing : Helps the user easily find a phone number from the phonebook DB.
Schedule dialing : Alarms the user an important call to make on pre-set time as schedule LED.

ARS/automatic call-recording during absence : Activating ARS with pre-recorded message by the
user and automatic call recording during absence.
Automatic voice recording during telephone conversation
Music message transfer and talk over music : Forwards the music (file) stored in the PC to
other’s(recipient) telephone, and inserts any music file in the PC during telephone conversation as background.

< Hands-free (communication)> Enables the user to do simultaneous works during telephone
conversation, using both hands freely with wired headset/wireless earset, and thus it helps prevent telephone fatigues on neck or shoulder due to long (time) talk.

4. Installation
Schematics of i-Talk connection
i-Talk consists of Hardware and Software.
First, please make sure to connect cables as follows, except USB cable to PC.
Note) Do not connect USB cable o your PC till Windows application program is completely installed in
the PC.

Button description of the PC driver
Button Function Description
PC/TEL button (switching between PC/TEL mode)

Recorded data control (Check and control the recorded files both in ARS mode and in
line.)

5. i-Talk Installation
i-Talk program installation
Insert the i-Talk program CD in the CD-ROM. After a while, set-up starts installation process.
Set-up installation folder. Click Next.
Type folder name. Click Next.

Necessary files being copied.
Installation completed. Click Finish.

Please refer “4. Installation – Schematics of i-Talk connection (3 page)”.
It is recommended that USB connection to PC be made after Software installation.
① Connect DC 6V power adapter to i-Talk telepad. ② Connect telephone line(PSTN) to i-Talk telepad. ③ Connect USB cable to PC USB port. ④ Connect Spk/Mic cable jack to PC Spk/Mic port. ⑤ Connect PC speaker jack to i-Talk telepad. (Option)

You can easily place a call, same as conventional telephone, using PC/TEL button either on telepad or program.
Switch to TEL mode by pressing PC/TEL button either
on telepad or program. (Press ON-OFF button when TEL OFF mode.) Dialing. After phone call(conversation), Press PC/TEL button again to hang up and switch to PC mode, or You can use ON-OFF button again to hang up and switch mode to TEL OFF.
You can dial using either a mouse or number pad of
PC keyboard as well as i-Talk telepad dial button.
6. How to use (use directions)

Answering calls
Ringing LED flashes while bell rings if i-Talk has an incoming call. Press PC/TEL or ON/OFF button to get the call.
Convert switch between PC(Red
Led) and TEL(Green Led) mode.

Voice recording during telephone conversation
(Except when automatic call-recording is set. à refer 14 page )
Voice recording starts only if you click call -recording button( ) at PC program during telephone conversation.
Click call-recording button again to stop recording.
Recorded calls
You can easily find the menu of create/delete/rename the folder, etc., pressing right button of the
mouse, to make separate folder for classifying the recorded files.
You can also use the menu of memo/delete/rename the file, etc. by pressing right button of the mouse.
You can easily check and listen to recorded calls and
conversations
by selecting recorded data control using
right button of mouse or pressing one-
touch button of
recorded data control ( ).
All recorded data are stored in a form of
“[REC]A.M.10_24_12.wav”
for voice recorded during
telephone conversation, or “[ARS]A.M.10_24_12.wav”
for
call recorded during user absence (ARS mode).
As show LHS picture, recorded data is automatically
generated as sub-
directly under wave data folder, and
recorded files are listed in the neighboring window with

1Dialing Manager
Easy and convenient use of phonebook function
Phonebook DB opens by selecting phonebook after clicking right button of the mouse or clicking
phonebook button( ) directly.
Check latest call list
Click “Latest call list” among the top menu of the phonebook window to check out latest status of calls.
You can manage and control recipient DB by
group, adding list, modification and deleting.

One – touch dialing
You can easily dial by pressing dial button(for 2,3 seconds) at PC program or number key on keyboard. Click one-touch dialing on the top menu of phone book window as follows.
Set one - touch dial by clicking add button.
One-touch dial setting is completed by clicking store button.
One-touch dial number is available to three digits and press 2,3 seconds last digit to dial
exceding two digit number.
(ex: To dial ‘27’ one - touch dial number, press ‘2’ as usual and press 7 longer than 2 seconds.)

Schedule dialing
It automatically reminds the user of a scheduled call to make on time set in the program.
Click schedule dial button ( ) at PC program to open schedule window as follows,
Set time and date to schedule your important call.
Input the recipient to call by clicking button. (And you can select the name from phonebook
DB or enter recipient name and number directly if recipient data doesn’t exist.)
Schedule dialing is set by clicking store button ( ), and it is added to the list.
(Red-ERROR) appears; ; If you cancel schedule dialing by clicking close button ( ) when alarm message appears at the
scheduled time.

◈ ARS function during user absence
Open the option window by clicking right button of the mouse and check ARS message set-up.
② Select any recorded ARS message file by clicking seek button( ). (support file: *.wav) ③ And, check out selected ARS message by clicking Play button ( ).
Press PC/TEL button of i-Talk to TEL mode. (green LED)
Press VMS button before you leave to activate ARS function. Incoming calls during absence are automatically recorded, after sending ARS message, as a wave file
in the PC. (ex. AR091352.wav)
Select call data control after clicking right button of mouse for checking recorded message (refer 9
page)
Select the recorded file and click play button.
ARS message recording
Press PC/TEL button to PC mode. Click start button in the left lower end of screen and select program à aid program à entertainment à recorder and click ‘recorder’. When recorder window appears, record ARS message using mic and store in any folder. (Make sure to remember the folder stored.) Finally, set the stored file as above described ARS message setup (①, ② in the above).

Automatic voice recording during telephone conversation
Set PC/TEL button to TEL mode. (green LED)
Play the background music during telephone conversation
Using this function, you and the other end can enjoy the background music from PC during telephone conversation. So, you can select any music file in the PC to play as background music while talking on line.
Firstly, play the music file in the PC and click background music button ( ) at PC program.
Click background music button again to stop playing.
Music message forward using schedule dialing
Open option window by clicking right button of the
mouse as described in 12 page.
Any telephone conversation is automatically recorded
without separate set-up, once checking automatic call
-
recording and selecting incoming call, outgoing call or
all calls.

Music message forward using schedule dialing
Open schedule window by clicking the right button of the mouse.
Set-up the schedule to forward music message. (Set-up the transmission time within 2~3 minute to
transfer music message immediately.)
Select the recipient whom you want to forward the music message by clicking button.
( Please enter recipient and number directly if recipient doesn’t exist in the PhoneBook DB. )
Select music file to forward by clicking seek button .
( Check music file to be forwarded using play button ( ). )
Music message forward process is completed by clicking store button ( ) with scheduled data
added on list.
Click quick send button ( ) if you want to send music file immediately.
Note) Make sure that PC be turned on through scheduled data for music message forwarding.

Hands-free!!
You can handle other works while talking on line, using both hands freely, and which will help prevent
shoulder and neck fatigues due to long telephone talk.
Direct access to Internet phone (Reduce communication cost considerably!)
Press PC/TEL button to PC mode. (red LED)
Click i-Phone button ( ) in the program to access previously set Internet phone website.
(Dialpad, Wow call, etc.) Use in appropriate order for that Internet phone.
Set-up Internet phone website
www.dialpad.co.kr is set as default.
Open option window by clicking the right button of the mouse in order to use another website. Delete Dialpad address and enter new Internet phone website address at the lowest end on screen.
