INSTRUCTION MANUAL
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. CAUTION – To prevent electrical shock, do not mate unit connector until installation is complete and A.C.
power is supplied to the unit.
FOR LED
2. CAUTION – This fixture provides more than one power supply output source. To reduce the risk of electrical
shock, disconnect both normal and emergency sources by turning off the A.C. branch circuit and by discon
necting the unit connector.
3. CAUTION – This is a sealed unit. Components are not replaceable. Replace the entire unit when necessary.
4. CAUTION – Installation and servicing should be performed by qualified personnel only. De-energize before
opening.
5. DO NOT USE OUTDOORS. The ILB-SL-CP is for use with grounded, UL Listed, damp location rated and
enclosed and gasketed, indoor fixtures. Not for use in heated air outlets or hazardous locations.
6. The ILB-SL-CP requires an unswitched A.C. power source of 120 to 277 volts AC, 50/60Hz.
7.
The ILB-SL-CP and A.C. driver must be on the same branch circuit.
8. Do not mount near gas or electric heaters.
9. The ILB-SL-CP should be mounted in locations and at heights where it will not readily be subjected to tamper
ing by unauthorized personnel.
10. The ILB-SL-CP will supply 10-60VDC output at the individual rated specification for 90 minutes. See individual
units for output specifications.
11. Suitable for use in damp locations and in enclosed and gasketed fixtures.
12. For use in 0° C minimum, 55° maximum ambient temperatures.
13. The use of accessory equipment not recommended by the manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition, void
warranty, and result in non-compliance with UL specifications.
14. Do not use this equipment for other than intended use.

1. FIXTURE
The ILB-SL-CP can be used with most LED loads that operate at 10-60 VDC. See the ILB Model Specification
Chart for output specifications of the unit being installed.
1. The ILB-SL-CP series has been evaluated to and found compliant to UL standard 924. The as-installed
performance of system must meet or exceed all Federal, State, and Local code requirements.
2. Refer to Addendum 11042014 for detailed specifications and methods to calculate emergency light levels.

2. MOUNTING THE ILB
Mount the ILB-SL-CP in the driver/lamp compartment or enclosed wireway so the wire leads are not exposed, at
least ½″ away from the driver. Refer to Illustration 1 and 2.
When battery packs are remote mounted, consult Customer Service for the maximum allowable distance between
the battery pack and the load.
3. WIRING
Refer to the wiring diagram on the back page for the appropriate wiring of the LED load and driver. Install in ac-
cordance with the National Electrical Code and local regulations. For additional wiring diagrams consult Customer Service.
4. INSTALLING THE THREADED BODY TEST SWITCH (TBTS)
Recessed Troffer Fixture– Select a convenient location with proper clearance in the channel cover and drill or
punch a 7/8″ hole (1/2″ knockout). Insert the 7/8″ bushing into the hole. Push the plastic tube through the bushing.
Route the leads of the TBTS through the plastic tube. Connect the LED wires from the unit to the TBTS (Red/
Black or Red w/tag to Red, White/Red to White). Push the entire assembly back into the tube until the lens collar
rests against the plastic tube. The plastic tube should be adjusted so that the TBTS is within ¼″ of the fixture lens.
The TBTS must be visible after installation. Refer to Illustration 1.
