Safety precautions should always be used when operating this or any electrical applian ce. Decrease the risk of elec trocution, electric shock, injury or fire by readin g and following all the warnings below:
Use only as described in this Ionic Pro® Compac t ionic air purifier owner’s manual.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not at tempt to service the product in any way other than in the manner described in the “CLEANIN G & M AINTENANCE” section of this owner’s manual.
Do not use the Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air pur ifier outdoors.
Do not use the Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air pur ifier in bathrooms or other humid environments, near fireplaces or in areas where flammable or comb ustible vapors or products may exist.
The Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air purifi er operates at 120v AC and 60Hz o nly.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this produ ct has a grounding-type plug that has a third grounding pin. This plug will fit only into a grou nding-type power outlet. If the plug does not fit into the outlet, contact qualified s ervice personnel to install the proper outlet. D o not alter the plug in any way.

PRODUCT BENEFITS
Do not open the door of the Ioni c Pro® Compac t air purifier when it is in operation.
Attempting to dissemble the unit may cause serio us personal injury to the user and/or result in considerable damage to the unit.
Do not place the Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air purifier’s cord near a heated surface.
Never operate the Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air p urifier if the plug or cord is damaged or appears damaged. Only qualified se rvice personnel should ever replace or attempt to replace a damage d power cord.
Never use the power cord to pick up, carry, drag, pull, or lif t the Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air purifier. Do not pull the cord against or around sharp corn ers and edges. This could result in injury to the user or damage to the cord and is prohibited.
Always remove the plug from its power outle t by h olding onto the plug itself and pulling gently. Never pull on the cord itself to unplug it fro m its power outlet.
Use care when operating the Ionic Pro® Compac t ionic air purifier by keeping all fingers, body par ts, hair, loose clothing and jewelry away from openin gs.
Never touch the Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air purifi er or its plug when your hands are wet.
Never try to insert any objec t into the body of the Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air purifier when it is in op eration.
The Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air purifi er is an electrical appliance. Adult supervision is require d when operating the Ionic Pro® Compac t ionic air purifier in the presence of children.
Do not touch the metal blades until af ter discharging residual electricit y by touching blades to an electrical ground such as a water pipe or metal faucet.
The collection blades and ionizing wires should be inspected frequently and cleaned regularly to prevent excessive accumulation that may result in an electrical flashover or a risk of fire.
This product complies with the ma ximum allowable concentration of ozone of 0.050 parts pe r million by volume (ppmv) in a 24-hour period. T he Health Canada Guideline 2010 recommends that the maximum exposure limit, based on an averaging ti me of 8 hours, is 0.020 ppmv or less when tested in a sealed, controlled room approximately 30 m3.

If the product is still makin g excessive noise after cleaning and thoroughly dryin g the collection blades and re -inserting them as described in the “CLEANI NG & MAINTENANCE” section of this manual, turn off and unplug the unit. After you have turned off and unplugged the unit, see Diagram B or F for the location of the Wire Cleaning Mechanism. Lif t and lower the Wire Cleaning Mechanism three to four times to thoroughly clean the internal ionizing wires (see Diagram H in the “CLEANING & MAINTENANCE” section). This movement helps to scrape free particles from th e internal ionizing wires. To keep your Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air purifier working prop erly, it will be necessary to clean the colle ction blades after every month of use and the internal ionizing wires after ever y two weeks of use (see “CLEAN ING & MAINTENANCE” and “DEEP CLEANING” se ction of this manual for the proper techniques).
WARNING: After cleaning the
collectio n blades (see “CLEANING & MAINTENANCE” section) with soap and water, allow at least 24 hour s for the collection blades to dry thoroughly before inserting them back into the unit. Water can easily ge t trapped along the collection blades’ many surfaces and edges and dama ge could result if there is any moisture on the collection blades.
You will need to clean your I onic Pro® Compact ionic ai r purier more often if it has been expo sed to heavy pollution.

IMPORTANT WARNINGS
Before using your Ionic Pro® Turbo air purifier, please read all safety ins tructions and the following important information.
Collection Blades
Please look at the “Main Parts” diagram and locate the part labeled “A”.
These are the collection bl ades and are a vital part of this amazing ionic air purif ying system. The collection blades are whe re unhealthy pollutants, allergens, irritants and odo rs are trapped when the Ionic Pro® Turbo Ionic Air Purifier air purifier is in proper working condition and in use.
READ THIS: The met al collection blades may contain a static charge. Do not touch the metal collec tion blades, even when you take the collection blade unit out for cleaning. (See “CLEANING & MAINT ENANCE” section of this manual.)
The Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air purifi er is designed to run quietly and requires very little time and effort to maintain in proper wor king condition. If you hear excessive noise or static coming from your Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air purifier, it generally indicates that the product nee ds to be cleaned. Turn off your Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air purifier, unplug the cord and carefully follow the cle aning instructions in the “CLEANING & MAINTENAN CE” section of this manual.
Do not place Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air purifier near a fireplace. Even if a fireplace is not in use, chimney dust and soot may circulate through the Ionic Pro® Compac t ionic air purifier and then re-circulate and leave a residue on the unit and su rrounding areas. We recommend not placing the Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air purifier any where near candles or oil lamps. If you intend to use candles or oil lamps near the Ionic Pro® Compac t ionic air purifier despite this warning, make sure that the wicks are cut to no more than a quar ter inch to cut down on smoke production.

OPERATING THE IONIC PRO® COMPACT IONIC AIR PURIFIER
Getting Ready
Locate a level surface on which to place your Io nic Pro® Compa ct ionic air purifier and a grounded 120v outlet (follow warnings described in the “SAFETY INSTRUC TIONS” section of this manual). Position your Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air purifier at l east one foot (12 inches) from the wall.
Plug in the unit. Yo u are now ready to turn on your Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air purifier!
Controls/Settings
1. ON/OFF Button – Turns unit on and off.
2. Lo (low output indiciation light) – At this setting, the unit will cycle ON and OFF.
It will cycle ON for approximately 25 seconds, and then rest for 25 seconds. This c ycling will continue as long as the unit is in Lo mode.
3. Hi (high output indiciation light) – At this setting, the unit stays ON continuously.
4. Clean (clean indiciation light) – This red light goes on wh en your Ionic Pro® Compact
ionic air purifier needs to be cleaned, or the unit is experiencing some other problem. See the “CLEANING & MAINTENANCE” and “TROUBLE-SHOOTING” sections.
5. Wire Cleaning Mechanism – This is used to clean the internal ionizing wires. See “CLEANING & MAINTENANCE” for full details.
6. Removable Cap – Lif t off the Removable Cap to locate collection blades for cleaning (as described in “CLEANING & MAI NTENANCE” secti on).

Operation
Set up the Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air purifier as described in “Getting Ready”. Press the ON/OFF button to activate your ionic air purifier and get read y to e nj oy cl ean, ionized air that cycles through pre-p rogrammed run/rest intervals according to the setting you selec t.
The Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air purifi er automatically defaults to the Hi (high/maximum output) setting whenever the unit is turned on.
Press the ON/OFF button one more time to sele ct the Lo (low) output setting to enjoy intermittent run/rest periods.
Press the ON/OFF button a third time to turn the unit off.
The indicator LEDs light up to indicate your current set ting (Lo, Hi).
Clean Light:
The red CLEAN light will turn on and the unit will shut down if cleaning is overdue.
The Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air purifi er’s collection blades must b e cleaned after month of use and the internal ionizing wires must be cleaned after ever y two weeks of use (see “CLEANING & MAINTENANCE” for full directions). Once the collection bla des are properly cleaned, thoroughly dried and re-inserted into your I onic Pro® Comp act ionic air purifier and the internal ionizing wires are properly cleaned, normal operations should continue. If not, see “DEEP CLE ANING” and
“TROUBLE-SHOOTING”.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
With very little effo rt, the Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air purifier delivers cleaner, fresher, healthier air to your indoor environments .
Keep your Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air purifier functioning properly by cleaning the collection blades af ter every month of use as recommended. The internal ionizing wires are an important par t of the Ionic Pro® air purifying system and n eed to be cleaned after every two weeks of use or if your unit starts to make a buz zing noise (see
“TO CLEAN IONIZ ING WIRES” and “DEEP CLEANING” se ct ion s).
More frequent cleaning is of ten required if your Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air purifier is new or if you place it in a different location. Exposing your Ionic Pro® Compact i onic air purifier to candle/oil lamp /fireplace soot and smoke is not recommended and will require the collection blad es to be cleaned after every exp osure (se e “IMPORTANT WARN INGS”).

Helpful Tips: R emember to clean your Ionic Pro® Compact ionic ai r purier every month and any time the red CLE AN/ FAULT light comes on or whenever you hear yo ur unit begin to make excessive noise.
To Clean the Collectio n Blades
Turn off and unplug your Ionic Pro® Compact air purifier. Let the unit rest a minute.
Next, lift o ff the removable cap and pull up on the collection blades’ handl e to sli de the collection blades out of the top of your Ionic Pro® ionic air purifier.
Do not touch the metal blades until af ter discharging residual electricit y by touching blades to an electrical ground such as a water pipe or metal faucet. Wipe away the trapped particles collected on the three blades with a slightly damp sponge or clo th. If you use a slightly damp cloth to clean the blades, it is possible the collection bla des will be completely dry within two to three hours. Always allow the coll ection blades to dry thoroughly b efore resuming use.
IMPORTANT: To avoid damaging your Ionic Pro® Compact ionic ai r purier, make sure the collection blades are completely dry and free of all moisture and that your Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air puri er is turned o and unplugge d before attempting to re-insert the collection blades.
If you have used soap and water to clean the collection blades, wait at l east 24 ho urs to ensure that they are thoroughly dry before re -inserting them into your Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air purifier.
To Clean the Ionizing Wires
The internal ionizing wires need to b e cleaned after every two we eks of use. There is a Wire Cleaning Mechanism used to clean the internal ionizing wires which you slide up and down to scrape off particl e residue, (see
Diagram B of the Operating Panel to locate the Wire Cleaning Mechanism). Lif t and lower the
Wire Cleaning Mechanism three or four time s to thoroughly clean the ionizing wires (see Diagram H).
REMEMBER TO ALWAYS RETURN THE WIRE CLEANING MECHAN ISM TO ITS ORIGINAL POSITION BEFOR E ATTE MPTING TO RESUME USE OR THE UNIT WILL NO T FUNCTION.

DEEP CLEANING
Noisy functioning (audible lou d buzzing sound) is a sign that your Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air purifier is overdue fo r a co mplete clean-up of the collection blades and the internal ionizing wires. The internal ionizing wires must be kept cl ean to ensure silent and normal operation.
To Deep Clean:
1. Before be ginning, make sure you have read all of the safety precautions and cleaning instruc tions located in the “SAFETY
INSTRUCTION”, “IMPORTANT WARNINGS”, and “CLEANING & MAINTENANCE” sections of this owner ’s manua l.
2. First, turn O FF and unplug your Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air purifier.
3. Let it rest for a minute b efore removing the collection blades as described in the “To Clean the Collectio n Blades” section of this manual.
4. Use a cloth and warm, suds y water to wipe away dirt particles on the blades’ surfaces and edges.
5. R inse and let the blades dry thoroughly for 24 hours before re-inserting the m into your Ionic Pro® Co mpact ionic air purifier. If desired, you can purchase a second se t of collection blades to use while the original blades are dr ying to allow for virtually uninterrupted air purification. (See the “O RDERING EXTRA COLLECTION BLADE S” section of this owner’s manual for details.)
6. Clean the ionizing w ires as described in the “To Clean the Ionizing Wires” section of this manual.
Cleaning External Surfaces
Over time, some particles an d dust may accumulate on the external surfa ces o f yo ur Ionic Pro® Co mpact ionic air purifier.
If this happens:
1. Turn off and unplug the unit.
2. Mix one ounce of so ap or detergent with five ounces of water and apply sparingly with a moist sp onge to wipe the outer case surfaces.
3. Do not allow any water to slip into the internal par ts of the Ionic Pro® Compact ionic air purifier as this could dam age its functioning and may result in injury to you.
4. Allow the unit to dr y for at least 24 hours before resuming use.

ARBITRATION AGREEMENT

YOU ACCEPT TH E TERMS OF THIS AGREEM ENT BY RETAINING THE PRODUCT(S) SH IPPED IN CONNECTION W ITH THIS AGREEMENT ( THE “PRODUCTS”) FOR M ORE THAN THIRTY (30) DAYS AFTER RECE IPT. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS O F THIS AGREEMENT, YOU MAY RETURN THE PR ODUCT TO COMPANY WITHIN THIR TY (30) DAYS OF RECEIPT FOR A FULL REFUN D.

1. RESOLUT ION OF CLAIM S OR DISPUTES.
Any claim or dispute bet ween you and Company (or any of Company’s subsidiaries o r affiliates) arising out of or relating in any way to the Produc t or this Agreement shall be resolve d through final, binding arbitrati on. This arbitration obli gation is reciprocally binding on b oth you and the Company and applies rega rdless of whether the claim or dispute involves a tor t, fraud, misrepresentati on, product liability, neglig ence, violation of a statute, or any other legal theo ry. Both you and Company specifically a cknowledge and agree that you wai ve your right to bring a lawsuit based o n such claims or disputes and to have such lawsuit resol ved by a judge or jury.
2. LIMITATION O F LEGAL REMED IES.
All arbitrations und er this Agreement shall be conducte d on an individual (and not a class-wide) basis , and an arbitrator shall have no auth ority to award class-wide relie f. You ac knowledge and agree that this Agre ement specifically pro hibits you and the Company from commen cing arbitration proceedings a s a representative of others or joining in any ar bitration proceedings brou ght by any other person. The par ties agree that no class or representative ac tions of any type are permit ted.
3. ARBITRATION PROCEDURES.
a. Before instituting an arbitration, i f you have any dispute, we strongly encourage you to co ntact the Company
to try to resolve the ma tter by calling 800.218.3560, although you a re not required to do so.
b. The arbitratio n of any claim or dispute under this Agreement s hall be conducted in accordance with th e
expedited pro cedures set forth in the JAMS Compreh ensive Arbitration Rules and Procedu res as those Rules exist on the date yo u receive the Product, including R ules 16.1 and 16. 2 of those Rules. These rules and procedures are availab le by calling JAMS or by visiting its web site at w ww.jamsadr.com. The arbitration of any claim or dispute under thi s Agreement shall be conducted by an a rbitrator who has at least five years of experience conducting arbitrations.
c. The ar bitration of any claim or dispute under this Ag reement shall be conducted in the St ate of California or
the location in whic h you received this Agreement. For claims of $10,000 or l ess, you may choose whether the arbitration proceeds in person, by telephone, or based only on submissions.
d. The Company shall pay costs fo r the arbitration of claims, includin g any JAMS Case Management Fee and all
professional fees f or the arbitrator’s services . The Company shall pay the fees and costs of i ts own counsel, experts an d witnesses and shall not be able to re coup them from you even if you do not prevail in th e arbitration. Unle ss otherwise provided by law, you ackn owledge and agree that you shall pay the f ees and costs of your own counsel, exp erts and witnesses.
4. CHOIC E OF LAW.
The arbitration p rovisions of this Agreement and any arbitr ation conducted pursuant to the term s of this Agreement shall be g overned by the Federal Arbitration Ac t (9 U.S.C. Secs. 1-16). In this respect, the parties acknowledge th at this Agreement involves a transacti on conducted in interstate comme rce. Otherwise, this Agreement and the rig hts of the parties hereunder s hall be governed by and construed in acco rdance with the laws of the State of Califor nia, exclusive of conflict or choice of law ru les.
5. S EV ER AB ILI TY.
If any provision of this Agre ement is declared or found to be unlaw ful, unenforceable or void, such p rovision will be ineffec tive only to the extent that it is found un lawful, unenforceable or void, a nd the remainder of the provision and all other p rovisions shall remain fully enforceab le.
