3. Installation of PCI Card
Hardware Installation
! Please take all proper Electro Static Discharge (ESD) precautions during the installation of your
new hardware.
• Installing the IOGEAR USB 2.0 PCI Card
a) Shut down your computer and turn off the power
b) Open your computer case as described within your computer's user's manual
c) Locate an available PCI slot
d) Per your computer's manual, install the USB 2.0 PCI Card into the available PCI slot
e) Close up your computer and plug in all necessary cables
Software Installation
a) Upon rebooting your computer with the IOGEAR USB 2.0 PCI Card for the first time,
Windows® will automatically detect your new hardware and a dialog window will appear
entitled "New Hardware Found"
b) Follow the installation instructions on the screen to its entirety
c) Once completed, restart your computer to take full advantage of your new IOGEAR USB 2.0

4. Installation of Internal Hub
Hardware Installation
! Please take all proper Electro Static Discharge (ESD) precautions during the installation of your
new hardware.
• Installing the IOGEAR USB 2.0 Internal Hub
a) Shut down your computer and turn off the power
b) Open your computer case as necessary as described within your computer's user's manual
c) Locate an available 5.25 in. or 3.5 in. drive bay
d) Remove necessary screws
e) Insert internal USB 2.0 hub into available drive bay
f) Secure internal hub into drive bay using two screws on each side
g) Connect the cable from the internal hub to the connector on the USB 2.0 PCI card
h) Close up you computer case and reinstall necessary screws
i) Power up computer and make new connections to the ports
