successfullyaccordingtoEN60529IPX4astoitsresistancetospray
water,andisthereforewellsuitedforweatherconditionssuch
astypicalEuropeanweatherconditions.Whenequippedwithan
appropriatelightingsystem,thevehicleissuitableforuseonpublic
roads.

2.3Safetyinformationonelectromagnetic
interference
Thiselectricvehiclewassuccessfullytestedinaccordancewith
InternationalstandardsastoitscompliancewithElectromagnetic
Interference(EMI)regulations.However,electromagneticfields,
suchasthosegeneratedbyradioandtelevisiontransmitters,and
cellularphonescaninfluencethefunctionsofelectricvehicles.Also,
theelectronicsusedinourvehiclescangeneratealowlevelof
electromagneticinterference,whichhoweverwillremainwithinthe
tolerancepermittedbylaw.Forthesereasonsweaskyoutoplease
observethefollowingprecautions:

Thescootercontrolsisfittedwithanoverloadprotection.
Ifthedriveisseverelyoverloadedoveralongperiodoftime(for
example,whendrivingupasteephill)andespeciallywhenthe
ambienttemperatureishigh,theelectronicsystemcouldoverheat.
Inthiscasethescooterperformanceisgraduallyreduceduntilit
comestoahalt.Thestatusdisplayshowsacorrespondingerror
code(referto11.1.2Errorcodesanddiagnosticcodes,page53).By
switchingthepowersupplyoffandbackonagain,theerrorcodeis
clearedandthecontrolsisswitchedbackon.Itcanhowevertakeup
tofiveminutesuntilthecontrolshascooleddownenoughforthe
drivetorestorefullperformanceagain.
Ifthedriveisstalledbyaninsurmountableobstacle,forexample,a
curborsimilarwhichistoohigh,andthedriverattemptsdrivingfor
morethan20secondsagainstthisobstacle,thecontrolsautomatically
switchesofftopreventthemotorsfrombeingdamaged.Thestatus
displayshowsacorrespondingerrorcode(referto11.1.2Error
codesanddiagnosticcodes,page53).Byswitchingoffandbackon
again,theerrorcodeisclearedandthecontrolsisswitchedbackon.

Newbatteriesshouldalwaysbefullychargedoncebeforetheirfirst
use.Newbatterieswillbeattheirfullcapacityafterhavingrun
throughapprox.10-20chargingcycles(break-inperiod).This
break-inperiodisnecessarytofullyactivatethebatteryformaximum
performanceandlongevity.Thus,rangeandrunningtimeofyour
mobilitydevicecouldinitiallyincreasewithuse.
Gel/AGMleadacidbatteriesdonothaveamemoryeffectasNiCd
batteries.

Theelectronicsystemreactsdifferentlydependingontheseriousness
