Thewheelchaircanbeequippedwithaposturebelt.It preventstheuserfromslidingdownwardinthewheelchair orfromfallingoutofthewheelchair .Theposturebeltis notapositioningdevice.

Aloosebeltcanallowtheusertoslipdownand createariskofstrangulation.
–Theposturebeltshouldbemountedby
aqualiedtechnicianandttedbythe responsibleprescriber .
–Alwaysmakesurethattheposturebeltis
tightlyttedacrossthelowerpelvis.
–Eachtimetheposturebeltisused,checkifit
tsproperly.Changingtheseatand/orbackrest angle,thecushionandevenyourclothes inuencethetofthebelt.
WARNING! Riskofseriousinjuryduringtransport
Inavehicle,auserinhiswheelchairmustbe securedbyasafetybelt(3-pointbelt).Aposture beltonlyisnotsufcientasapersonalrestraint device.
