SAFETY SUMMARY
The following recommendations are made for the safe operation of the PEDIA TRIC
WALKER - Sportrunner™:
GENERAL WARNING
DO NOT install or use this equipment without first reading and understanding
these instructions. If you are unable to understand the Warnings, Cautions or
Instructions, contact a healthcare professional, dealer or technical personnel
before attempting to install this equipment - otherwise, injury or damage
may occur.
Each individual should always consult with their physician or therapist to
determine proper adjustment and usage.
ST ABILITY W ARNINGS
Check to make sure crutch tips and wheels are not ripped, worn or missing.
Replace BEFORE using walker.
DO NOT use crutch tips on front wheel inserts.
Short steps should be taken to assure weight is distributed evenly and directly
over walker legs. These precautions will prevent uncontrollable movement
of walker when pulling or pushing.
A physical/occupational therapist should assist in the placement and
positioning of the hand grips for maximum support.
Care should be taken to ensure that ALL hand and height adjustments are
secure, and that wheels and moving objects are in good working order
before using this or any mobility aid.
All wheels MUST be in contact with the floor at ALL TIMES during use. This will
ensure the walker is properly balanced.
Invacare Walkers can provide ambulatory assistance for an individual
weighing up to 65 lbs. (29.48 kg.). Invacare Walkers ar e designed to provide
support, increased stability and assistance to an individual while walking.
A physical/occupational therapist should assist in determining the appropriate orientation of the walker (pulling or pushing) for the user.
Height adjustment MUST be checked frequently with the assistance of a
physical/occupational therapist to maintain proper height for the user.

SAFETY SUMMARY (continued)
FOLDING/ASSEMBLY WARNINGS
After unfolding or assembling walker, ensure that walker is securely locked
in OPEN position and level to the ground BEFORE using.
DO NOT hang anything on either the left or right side frames or the left
and right handle bars. This will cause side frames or handle bars to bend
downward and prevent walker from locking into place when fully
opened. This may also cause walker to tip, resulting in injury or damage.
INST ALLATION W ARNINGS
Ensure ALL handle snap buttons fully protrude through adjustment holes
of each front frame tube. This ensures that the handles are securely
locked in position.
The handles should be adjusted so the walker is level.
Always test to see that the walker and attachments are properly and
securely locked in place BEFORE using.

mounted to the rear frame tubes. On a forward (pushing) walker both one-way
wheels are mounted to the front frame tubes.
NOTE: Take note of the location and orientation of the one-way wheels before removal.
NOTE: When installing the one-way wheels into the front frame tubes, their position
