WARNING

Follow carefully this safety and installation instructions. Improper work may lead to serious harmful for your health and also
may damage seriously the interface.

• This interface must be installed by accredited technical personnel (electrician, KNX installer, or authorized technical
personnel) and following all the safety instructions given here and in accordance always with the country legislation for
installation of electric equipment.

• Disconnect always from the mains electricity supply any wires from the KNX bus, the AC indoor unit and the external
power supply before manipulating and connecting them to the interface.

1. Check the IR Universal Controller device location using your Air Conditioner IR remote controller.

Make sure that you can control the AC unit properly with the IR remote controller in that location.
The IR Universal Controller can be installed on a wall mounted position or in a desktop position.

IMPORTANT: Keep in mind that some furniture and materials (carpets, curtains, glass, metal…) may effect on the IR
communication.

2. Connect the KNX bus cable to the KNX Connector inside the IR Universal device.

3. Power the KNX bus.

NOTE: Once installation is done, follow the instructions on user's manual for configuring and commissioning the

Siga atentamente estas instrucciones de seguridad e instalación. Un manejo inadecuado puede ocasionar daños graves para su
salud y daños irreparables en el interfaz y/o en la unidad de aire acondicionado.

• Esta interfaz debe ser instalada por personal técnico acreditado (electricista, instalador de KNX, o personal técnico

cualificado) siguiendo todas las instrucciones de seguridad indicadas en este manual y de acuerdo con la legislación vigente
en su país para la instalación de equipos eléctricos.

• Desconecte siempre la tensión del bus KNX, la unidad de aire acondicionado y la fuente de alimentación externa antes de
manipularlos y conectarlos a la interfaz.

1. Compruebe la ubicación del Controlador Universal IR con el mando IR de su Aire Acondicionado.

Asegúrese de que puede controlar la unidad de AA adecuadamente con su mando IR desde esa ubicación.
El Controlador Universal puede instalarse en posición mural o de sobre mesa.

IMPORTANTE: Tenga presente que algunos muebles y materiales (alfombras, cortinas, cristal, metal…) pueden
afectar a la comunicación IR.

2. Conecte el cable del bus KNX al conector KNX, ubicado en el interior del Controlador Universal IR.

3. Alimente el bus KNX.
