AB1G Battery Instructions

The AB1G battery is a 2400 mAh lithium-ion battery designed for
use in the CK30 and CK31 Handheld Computers.

Charging the Battery

You need to fully charge the battery before using it in your CK30
or CK31. You can charge a battery after partial discharge without
aff ecting the original battery capacity. Use the next table to
understand the maximum charging times for a fully discharged
battery. It may take less time to charge the battery depending on
the state of the battery charge.

Important Recommendations

• Charge the battery immediately before use or within a couple of

days of use.

• Do not short circuit the battery, and keep it away from metallic

items.

• Do not drop the battery or apply mechanical shocks or pressure

to it.

• Discarded batteries may create a safety hazard. Before disposal,

cover the battery connector with electrical insulating tape.

• Do not disassemble or dispose of in fi re.

• Do not store the battery at temperatures above 60°C (140°F),

such as inside a car on a hot day or in direct sunlight, as this may
damage the battery.

• Do not immerse the battery in water or get the battery wet.

• Do not solder directly to the battery contacts.

• Use the Intermec AB1G battery only with a CK30 or CK31. Use

of this battery in other devices could result in damage to the
device or battery.

Caution: This battery pack may ignite, create a chemical burn
hazard, explode, or release toxic materials if mistreated. Do not
incinerate, disassemble, or heat above 100°C (212°F). Do not short
circuit; may cause burns. Keep away from children.

Use only Intermec charger Models AC1, AC2, AC3, AD1, and AD2.
Use of incorrect charger may present a risk of fi re or explosion.
Promptly dispose of used battery pack according to the
instructions.
