GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR WATERFALL USE
. Unpack the product, wipe off dust with a damp cloth. Take out all
1
accessories: pump and light with adapter.
2. Familiarize yourself with the pump. Turn valve on pump counter clockwise
placing the handle in a horizontal position for maximum water flow. Turn the
valve on the pump in a vertical position for minimum water flow.
CAUTION: This pump has been evaluated for use with water only.
NOTE: It is recommended the pump be set at its highest flow during assembly
and later adjusted to a lower setting if desired. Be sure to unplug pump before
adjusting flow setting.
WARNING: RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK
• Do not connect to any voltage other than that shown on the pump.
• This pump is supplied with a grounding conductor and grounding-type attachment plug. To reduce the risk of electric shock, be certain that it is connected
only to a properly grounded, grounding-type receptacle.
• The national electric code requires that a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI)
be used in the branch circuit supplying fountain pumps and other pond equipment. See your electrical supplies dealer for this device.
• If the supply cable is damaged it can not be replaced and the pump unit should
be discarded.
WARNING: RISK OF FIRE
• Do not use with water above 30˚C.
• Do not pump flammable liquids.
3. Attach the pump to the connector tube on the fountain and place the pump inside
the fountain. Place the light in socket at base of fountain. Run the cord through
the hole into the base of the fountain out the back, lay with power cord from
pump. Connect cord from light to A/C adapter and tighten.
NOTE: Do not let pump run when NOT submerged in water. Doing so may damage the pump. Always submerge
the pump in water first, and then plug in the unit.
4. Fill base with tap water to approximately 1/2" above pump. Distilled water is recommended in order to minimize
mineral deposits.
NOTICE: Do not place outdoors in weather conditions below 32˚F, may cause water to freeze.
5. Plug cord into 120V household outlet. Turn pump on to verify flow making sure it is not too high and everything is
operating correctly. Arrange river rocks on top of plate.
NOTE: Ensure that the electrical cord loop below the electrical outlet.” This will prevent water from running down
the cord into the electrical outlet.

level (approximately 1/2” above pump) to avoid shortening the life of
the pump. Water level should completely cover pump at all times.
NOTE: Never let the pump run dry. This will shorten the life of the pump.
4. To store waterfall after use, unplug the waterfall from the electrical outlet, empty the water, and store in a cool dry
place.
TROUBLESHOOTING
1. If jets do not spray correctly, check water level and add if necessary or clean jet holes to unclog any deposits.
2. If pump fails to operate, check the circuit breaker, or try a different outlet to make sure the pump is getting electrical
power.
3. If the pump gurgles, spews, or “burps”, check the water level to make sure the pump has enough water to function.
4. If water is splashing outside of the waterfall, adjust the flow control valve to a lower setting.
