OVERVIEW
The IFS® Ethernet Surge Protector is the ideal solution to protect valuable Ethernet equipment from potentially damaging electrical surges or lightning strikes. The surge protector provides up to 20KA protection on Ethernet cable runs, including support for Power Over Ethernet (PoE) applications.
The module offers easy, plug-and-play installation by providing two passive 10/100/1000Base-T interfaces for connection between two Ethernet devices and one ground screw for grounding the device to earth-ground. The unit is designed with one unprotected port and one protected port to help prevent entry of electrical surges through outdoor Ethernet cable runs.
