Verex MIFARE® readers are able to read contactless smart cards, also known as MIFARE cards. These cards allow for multiple applications on one card, such as access control, vending machine debit, library usage, university accounts and prepaid parking. Verex also supplies MIFARE cards, available unprogrammed or programmed.

MIFARE readers provide a Wiegand output and can be used with all Verex Access Control Systems as well as most other access control systems. Readers are compatible with Ultralight Type A Format (used in public transportation applications).

MIFARE readers are available in 4 different styles: Switchplate, Switchplate Keypad Arming Station, Mullion and Mullion Keypad Arming Station. An embedded LED reﬂects access status by surrounding transparency tube (Mullion styles) or by transparency front plate (Switchplate styles).
