Connections

Twisted Pair – RJ45

Connect the UTP port of the media converter to
an RJ45 port on the network; e.g., to an Ethernet
switch. Cat5e or better cabling is recommended.

SFP+ Slot

This media converter requires an SFP+ transceiver
module that provides ber optic connections.

1. Insert the transceiver into the media converter.
Next, install the ber optic cable into
the transceiver.

2. Install the other end of the ber optic cable into
an appropriate port in your ber network.

Maximum length and ber cable specication
depend on the model.
