How to use USB Network Adapter
z Insert the USB cable(the A-type connector)into
the USB port of your PC. The adapter is now
connected to your PC.
z Connect your adapter to 10Mbps or
10/100Mbps auto-sensing hub/switch using
Category 5 UTP RJ-45 straight-through cable.
z The RJ-45 cable connectors should fit into the
RJ-45 port on both the adapter and the hub.
Win2000(Win98) Setup
1. Make sure USB Network Adapter had
already connected.
2. (Start up your computer and Windows
98)Your PC should find the new hardware
and display the “Add Hardware Wizard”
windows.
3. When the hareware installation wizard
comes up,insert the Installation diskette for
the USB Network Adapter into “A:” driver
and click Next.
4. IN the next window select “search for a
suitable driver for my device
[recommended]” and click NEXT.Select
your CDROM Drive in the box and click
NEXT.
5. Windows will begin searching for the correct
device drivers. A message will appear that
reads Windows found the usb Network
Adapter driver. Click on NEXT.
6. (Windows 98 will begin copying a number of
files onto your computer. If Windows asks
you to supply your original Windows 98
installation or setup disks, insert the
CD-ROM or disks as needed.) Windows will
finish copying all of the necessary files to
your system. Then W indows will show the
following diagram, please click Finish to
complete the setup procedure.
7. After restarting your computer, USB
Network Adapter will work pr operly.
