Installation Overview
Once you have installed the HMP Software and downloaded a license file1 to your computer, you
must activate the license on the target system using the License Manager. The License Manager
offers both a menu interface and a command line interface (CLI). The Intel NetStructure Host Media Processing Release 1.5 for Linux Licensing Manager Administration Guide describes how
to obtain and use license files, and the various tasks you can perform with the License Manager.
You can try out the HMP Software with a verification, evaluation, or trial license before you
purchase a permanent, production license from Intel. If a license file is lost or damaged, you can
obtain an emergency replacement for it. Table 1 shows the types of licenses available for use with
HMP Software.
