INSTEON® Smoke Bridge

Required Accessories
• First Alert® ONELINK® Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarm
• INSTEON devices or computer-based controllers to respond
Installing and Linking to First Alert Sensor
1) Plug the Smoke Bridge into unswitched wall outlet near the First Alert sensor
2) Press and hold Smoke Bridge set button until it beeps
Smoke Bridge LED will start blinking green
3) Press and hold First Alert Smoke Alarm test button until it beeps or says “testing”
First Alert sensor will cycle through its test alert message
Smoke Bridge LED will start blinking red
First Alert sensor will finish its test
Smoke Bridge LED will return to green
Make Smoke Bridge a Controller
Follow these steps if you wish to control a single INSTEON device in the event of a smoke or carbon monoxide alarm.
1) Press and hold Smoke Bridge set button until it beeps
Smoke Bridge LED will start blinking green
2) Adjust responder to desired state
3) Press and hold responder set button until it double-beeps
Smoke Bridge will double-beep and its LED will stop blinking
4) Test link by tapping the Smoke Bridge set button
Smoke Bridge LED will begin blinking red
Responder will respond appropriately
5) Repeat steps 1-4 for each additional devices
Make Smoke Bridge a Controller of Multiple Responders
Follow these steps if you wish to control more than one INSTEON device the event of a fire or carbon monoxide alarm
1) Press and hold Smoke Bridge set button until it beeps
Smoke Bridge LED will start blinking green
2) Tap Smoke Bridge set button
Smoke Bridge LED will start double-blinking green
3) For each responder you are adding:
a) Adjust responder to desired scene brightness/state
b) Press and hold responder set button until it double-beeps
4) Tap Smoke Bridge set button
Smoke Bridge will beep and LED will stop blinking
5) Test link by tapping the Smoke Bridge set button
Smoke Bridge LED will begin blinking red
All responders will respond appropriately
