HELPFUL IN F OR MATIO N
• Prior to opening your shipment, check and
confirm the room is completely ready to
receive the furniture
(see “Room Readiness Checkli st” below).
• Place the parts in the room according to the
sequence of the assembly steps to avoid
double hand ling
• T he Hardware Box i s located on the pallet
and labeled “Hardware”
• Hardware is packed by STEP #, not PART #
• A la rge, contractor’s garbage bag is included in
the Hardware Box for trash removal
• A ll parts are labeled for easy identification
• Labels wil l not be seen once the Bed is
completely assembled; the part label is a sticker
and can be removed if desired.
• Each page of the assembly includes a “QR Code”,
which is linked to a video for each step. To view,

ROOM READINESS CHECKLIST
Check room to confirm the ceiling, floor,
and walls in the room are finished and completed
Select the wall and location in which the
Bed will be placed
Measure the length of the wall and height
of ceiling to confirm the Bed will fit
TIP: You may want to remove existing
baseboard that is located on the wall where
the Bed will be installed. By removing the baseboard, it will allow for a tighter fit against the wall (custom units may already have a notch for baseboard – see shop drawings, if applicable).
Locate any electrical outlets on the wall
that may be covered up by the Bed
Clear out any items in the room so you
have a clear path to the wall and an open area to assemble the Bed
If the flooring is hard, lay down some
furniture blankets, sheets of cardboard, or
other cushioning material to prevent parts from being scratched.
Locate the maress that will be used with
this Bed; the specific maress is required for proper adjustment of the Bed and completion of the assembly

A. The WallBed cabinet should be placed directly
against the wall where it will be installed. Do a preliminary check for squareness by measuring diagonally from corner to corner across the face of the cabinet. Use a step ladder to access the wall above the Cabinet Top and locate studs or other solid structural members to which you can fasten the H-074 Angle Brackets. TWIN SIZE requires two H-074 Angle Brackets. One should be located on each side of the centerline. FULL & QUEEN SIZES require three H-074 Angle Brackets. One should be located near the center and the other two should be located near the sides of the Cabinet Top as shown. KING SIZES requires four H-074 Angle Brackets. Two should be located on each side of the centerline.
B. Drive two H-016 Flathead Screws through each
Angle Bracket and into each solid framing member in the wall. Drive two H-076 Flathead Screws through the angle brackets and into the Cabinet Top.
CAUTION! WallBeds must be securely aached to wall structure before proceeding, to ensure safe and smooth operation!

CAUTION! There will be a lot of tension on the Tension Arms. We recommend that two people handle this procedure: one pulling and holding the tension arm with both hands, while the other sets the arm lock. When seing the arm lock, avoid reaching behind the tension arm and be very careful to avoid geing pinched.

B. Secure the mechanism covers in place with
an H-210 Angle Bracket and H-087 Screw. The bracket should be placed on top of the mechanism cover and the screw should be used to aach the angle bracket to the Cabinet Side.
C. It is important that pillows are not stored
in the bed when closed. We leave it to your discretion whether or not to place the warning sticker on the Shelf.

HOW IT WORKS
HOW IT MOVES UP
AND DOW N :
The mechanisms that allow the WallBed to move up and down are spring-loaded and located inside face of each pier.
As the WallBed is lowered down, gravity is naturally starting to pull it down. The springs “kick in” and provide enough resistance to avoid it from coming down too quic k ly.
As the WallBed is raised upward, gravity is resisting, To make it easier to li, the
springs releases tension, assisting the bed as it is raised.
TO LOWER THE WALLBED:
Handles are located on the outside of the Bed Cabinet (on the Bed Panels) for use to lower the Bed.
TO RAISE THE WALLBED:
At the corner of the bed platform, place hands underneath and li. Start walking toward the bed cabinet to close. Once at half-way, grab a handle and guide into the cabinet.

HOW IT WORKS (CONT.)
1. To adjust the number of springs, you will need to temporarily detach
the Bed Cabinet from the wall. Use a step ladder to access the top of the Cabinet, and temporarily remove the H-o76 Flat Head Screws that aach the Angle Brackets to the Cabinet Top (Refer to Step 9).
2. While the Angle Brakets remain aached to the wall, “walk” the
Cabinet forward until it is around two feet from the wall.
3. Working behind the Cabinet, add or remove springs from the spring
mechanisms as needed. The top and boom springs are installed with the hooks facing inward so they are a lile easier to remove. The final arrangement of springs should be symmetrical above and below the center of the mechanism. for example, if you start with (8) springs, the center space will be empty. If you remove a spring, you should take it off the top, but you should also move the boom spring to the center space. Ideally the le and right spring mechanism should have the same number of springs.
HOW T O ADJUST TENSION:
STEPS FOR ADJUSTMENT:
To adjust the tension of the Sofa-WallBed:
The factory has installed the proper number of springs based on our estimates of the weight of typical maresses. Your maress weight may vary from these estimates. With the springs provided, the bed platform should be very easy to raise and lower.
If it is too light, it will float up a lile instead of staying down in the bed position. In this case you will need to remove one of the springs.
If it is too heavy, it will be too difficult to li and you will need to add a spring.

4. Push the Cabinet in place against the wall and reaach the H-076
Flathead Screws through the Angle Brackets and into the Cabinet Top. The Bed Cabinet must be secured to the wall structure, as in Step 9! Test the raising and lowering of the bed.

TROUBLESHOOTING
HOW CAN I ACCESS BEHIND THE WALLBED?
If you need to access to the area behind the bed, you most likey do not have to remove it from the wall. The Headboard does release, allowing access behind the Bed.
TO LOWER THE HEADBOARD:
Have someone lower the bed about halfway and hold it there. On the back of the Headboard there are guide pins located on the le and right, with a cable stretched between them. These pins extend into the track located on each side of the cabinet,
guiding the Headboard movement as the bed is raised and lowered. Reach behind the Headboard and locate the cable. Pull the cable upward to release the pins on both side and pivot the Headboard forward to the maress. Make sure you keep holding tension on the cable as you pivot the Headboard to prevent the pins from scratching the inner faces of the Cabinet Sides. At this point, the Bed can be lowered down completely. To re-engage the pins, pull upward on the tension cable and raise Headboard, until the pins are aligned with the track. Release the cable. The pins
should snap out into position, reseing the headboard for use.
REMOVING BED FROM WALL:
With another person, “walk” each side of the Cabinet away from wall.
TIP: You may want to place moving pads
underneath cabinet (with another person, tip cabinet slightly to place pad).
MY WALLBED IS MAKING A CREAKING NOISE

them with a dry silicone-type lubricant, available at most hardware stores. Although this type of lubricant should not damage the wood panels, be careful not get any on the bed covers or maress.
I CAN’T RAISE OR LOWER THE BED PLATFORM
If there is any binding or difficulty raising or lowering the bed, it is possible that a foreign object has become lodged in the spring mechanism. If there is no obvious culprit, call Inova customer service for assistance in troubleshooting the issue.
THE BED PLATFORM WON’’T CLOSE COMP LETELY
If the Bed Platform is pivoted up and won’t completely close to its “Up Position”, it is possible there is an object lodged between the back of the Cabinet Front and front of the Bed Platform. If there is no obvious obstruction, call Inova customer service for assistance in troubleshooting the issue.
