Screw the first vibra-mount into the stock air box
brace located by the firewall and the throttle body.
Both vibra-mounts are now installed and ready for the
next step.
Place the one clamp on each end of the 90 degree
elbow. Place the 90 degree elbow over the throttle
body then semi-tighten the clamp on the throttle
body. Press the grommet into the 3/4” hole in the
elbow then press the grommet into the hole (A).
Take air temperature sensor and press it into the
grommet located in the 90 degree elbow(A). The air
temperature sensor is now installed.
For this installation remove the negative and positive
battery terminals, then proceed to remove the battery.
A;ways place the battery on a table or cardboard paper
in order to prevent grounding of the battery.
Now you are ready to remove the
Disconnect any vacuum lines connected to the stock air box and remove the
stock air intake box from its stock location
Remove the stock air intake duct connected from the box to the throttle body.
Once the battery has been removed continue to
remove the plastic try and metal battery tray.
Take the air temperature sensor and press it into the
grommet placed in the 90 degree elbow.

the thermostat housing

Once the filter has been installed on the secondary intake lower the filter end
into the compartment below the battery tray.
Line up the intake bracket to the vibra-mount stud and use a fender washer and a
flange nut to secure the intake in place.
To continue the installation of the cold air intake take the 3” straight hose and
press it over the end of the primary intake. Use two clamps on the hose but
only tighten the clamp on the intake side (A).
Press the Injen filter over the end of the secondary intake as shown above. Be
sure to tighten the clamp on the filter neck.
Take the 8”-15mm hose and press one end over the crankcase port (A). Take
the other end of the hose and press it over the air intake port (B) and (C).
The filter is pressed over the end of the primary intake and used as a short ram.
Injen recommends using the short ram in rainy days in order to avoid hydrolocking.
Take the primary intake and press the straight end into
the 90 degree elbow as shown in this picture.
The primary intake is now installed and in place.
While the intake is pressed into the silicone elbow the
bracket is lined up the the first vibra-mount stud. as
shown above. Use the m6 flange nut and fender
washer to hold the intake in place.

1. Upon completion of the installation, reconnect the negative battery terminal before you
start the engine.
2. Align the entire intake system for the best possible fit. Once the intake has been properly
fitted continue
to tighten all nuts, bolts and clamps.
3. Periodically, recheck the alignment of the intake system and make sure there is proper
clearance around
and along the length of the intake. Failure to follow proper maintenance procedures
may cause
damage to the intake and will void the warranty.
4. Start the engine and listen carefully for any odd noises, rattles and/or air leaks prior to
taking it for a test
drive. If any problems arise go back and check the vacuum lines, hoses and clamps
that maybe causing
leaks or rattles and correct the problem.
5. Check the filter for excessive dirt build up. Clean or replace the filter with an original
Injen filter
Congratulations! You have just completed the
installation of the
best intake system sold on the market. Enjoy the added power and performance of
your new intake
system.
Once the bracket has been aligned to the vibra-mount stud press the upper end
of the intake into the 3” hose on the primary intake.
Once the entire intake has been installed continue to align the intake for best
possible fit. After proper clearance has been made through out the length of the
intake continue to tighten all nuts, bolts and clamps. Periodically check the alignment of the intake tract in order to avoid damage to the intake system.
