Product Introduction
The TIMEX watch phone is specially designed for a child to
wear on his or her wrist and use conveniently.
Your child can make/answer phone calls to/from parents or
others by pressing any of the registered contacts or phone numbers. Also, a child can send/receive messages to/from registered contacts or phone numbers. Registered guardian can check your child's current location through "Send My Location" function. The TIMEX watch phone has the easy-to-use functions and menus your child needs.
The SOS emergency call function allows you to handle
emergency situations.
All the settings for the TIMEX watch phone are controlled
via the “TIMEX WATCH" app installed in the smartphone(s)
of the parent(s) or guardian(s). You can check your child's
location in real time through the “TIMEX WATCH" app.
※ Caution
If the TIMEX watch phone is located in a building or a place
where the transmission/reception frequency is unstable, the child's location may not be indicated precisely. (Note: A location error from 15m to 2Km or higher may occur, depending on the external environment.)
In case of emergency, press and hold the SOS button for more
than three seconds until the product beeps. The product will send an emergency call messages and can make phone calls to as many as six guardians, whom you designate. However, this function is just a way of calling a guardian. Therefore, it doesn't support rescue work.

※ Caution
Because the watch strap of the TIMEX watch phone is made of
rubber, it may be over-stretched or even break. Never pull the watch strap with excessive force or apply a sharp object such as a knife, a gimlet, etc. The strap may be loosened or broken. If the watch strap is broken or otherwise disassembled, the mobile phone may be lost.
If fastening the watch strap with excessive force, kid's hand or
wrist may be strained. Therefore, be careful when adjusting the watch strap.
Keep in mind that the watch phone may be unlocked, removed
from the wrist, and lost if user wears it loosely or incorrectly.

Charging TIMEX watch phone
The TIMEX watch phone is a battery-integrated unit. To charge the battery, mount the IF-A522T exclusive charger on the mobile phone and connect the USB charging cable.
The TIMEX watch phone is designed to power-on automatically if its battery has at least a 10% charge.

※ Caution
When LED indicator flashes in orange color, the battery isn't
charged. In this case, make sure to connect the watch to the cradle properly.
Be careful, because the temperature of the mobile phone and
cradle may be increased while the battery is charging.
The required charging time may differ, depending on the status
of the mobile phone.
If the temperature of the mobile phone is too high, it isn't
powered on automatically. Additionally, if the ambient temperature is too high, mobile phone may be powered off automatically for self-protection.

Power On/Off
1. LED Indicator
Press and hold the button on the right for more than two
seconds to turn on the TIMEX watch phone.
2. Powering Off To prevent your child from accidentally turning off, the TIMEX
watch phone is designed to be turned off by pressing and holding the button on the right longer than usual.

Pairing Your TIMEX Watch Phone
Make sure you’re in an area with a strong wireless signal. Your TIMEX Watch Phone should start activating automatically
the first time you turn it on.
Follow the instructions in the app and on your watch to pair your
TIMEX Watch Phone by scanning the QR code with guardian’s
phone camera or by entering the mobile number into the app.
If you finish registering guardian(s) in “Smartcom" smart-phone
app, the TIMEX watch phone automatically registers the phone number(s) of guardian(s) in its contact list.

If you turn off the Dialer Activated in the
parent app, the Dial Pad does not appear.
If you set the profile to kids or elderly in the
parent app, the Dial pad does not appear.
Icons on the left of the Call History List vary
according to call type.

Making a Call
1. Touch the "Telephone" icon to display registered contacts, and then touch a contact or input a phone number through the keypad to make a call.
2. Slide left from right side in the keypad to enter the Contact List
menu. And touch a contact and then touch “Call” icon to make a
call.
3. Slide right from left side in the keypad to enter the Call history
menu. And touch a contact and then touch “Call” icon to make a
call.

※ Caution
This product supports speakerphone mode by default. If putting
the phone close to ear without switching into whispering mode, keep in mind that excessively loud sounds may cause hearing loss.

Long Press SOS Button
Call E911
Press and hold the left SOS button for three seconds or longer to
make a call to one of registered guardians automatically.
The phone number of registered guardian is connected according
to the settings of the TIMEX watch phone.
The SOS emergency call message is sent to the phone numbers
of up to six registered guardians.
You can set the phone numbers for an emergency call on the
“Smartcom" smartphone app.
After completing a 911 call to the
PSAP(Public Safety Answering or Access Point), for 7 minutes, the watch will be able to receive calls from PSAP or any caller.

Long Press SOS Button
Slide left from the right side in Message History menu to enter the
keypad menu. Input the phone no. and touch “Send” icon to enter
the text keypad menu. Press “Confirm” icon to send the message

Delete message
Press the message for 2~3 seconds to display ‘Del’ and ‘Del All’
icon. Touch ‘Del’ to delete the selected message. Touch ‘Del All’
and ‘OK’ to delete all the message.

Send My Location
Touch the "‘Send My Location" icon on
the menu screen, and then touch "Send My Location" to send location data messages to guardian(s).

S/W Upgrade
Go to System Settings under the My
INFO screen, and then touch "S/W Upgrade" to check if a new S/W version is released and upgrade S/W automatically if required.
※ Caution
Make sure to connect your TIMEX watch phone to the charging
cradle before upgrading S/W.
The amount of required time to upgrade S/W may vary
depending on your network status.
Never disconnect the TIMEX watch phone from the charging
cradle or control other functions during S/W upgrade process.
S/W upgrading proceeds automatically and is completed by
restarting the product two or three times.

Bluetooth
Before using Bluetooth function, you should activate the Bluetooth function and pair the TIMEX watch phone with your desired device.
1. Go to Indicator screen to activate Bluetooth function.
2. From the list of available Bluetooth devices discovered, press your desired device to connect.
3. Once a device connected, it will be automatically connected to your device when available.
4. To go to the upper menu, press the SOS button on left slightly or slide the top of the screen downward.
※ Caution
If Bluetooth function is activated, the battery runs out faster and
needs charging more often.
When you don't need the Bluetooth function anymore, turn it off
to save battery power.
Depending on Bluetooth devices such as manufacturer, pairing
method may be different.

In airplane mode, ‘High Temp Caution’ is output when reaching
high temperature, and ‘High Temp Notify’ is output when it is reached in normal mode.

Use the IF-A522T charging cradle in areas of sufficient
ventilation. Do not use it in places with heat sources, flammable materials or risk of fire.
Do not use the IF-A522T charging cradle in places of high
humidity.
Never disassemble or modify the IF-A522T charging cradle. Do not place magnetic materials such as a magnetic card, sharp
metallic objects, etc., near the IF-A522T charging cradle.
Magnetic parts are built into the contact terminals of the IF-
A522T charging cradle. Therefore, magnetic force may cause your magnetic card to fail or malfunction. Be aware you may also be injured if a sharp metallic object pierces or is forced into the IF-A522T charging cradle.
Before updating the software to the newest release, be sure to
connect your TIMEX watch phone with the charging cradle.
If mobile phone is powered off during software update process,
the software update itself may be failed. Accordingly, the mobile phone may not work, either.

Safety Precautions
Be sure to comply with the following safety precautions to keep you and your assets from being damaged and avoid accident and risk in advance. Additionally, always keep this user guide visible to refer to whenever necessary.
1. Do not manipulate the mobile phone while driving a car.
It may cause a car accident (in)directly.
If you use this product while driving a car, you may be fined or
detained according to the traffic laws.
Do not place the product near an automobile airbag. If the airbag suddenly inflates, you may be injured.
2. Do not give a shock.
If the mobile phone is got a shock or dropped, it may be damaged or deformed. Additionally, understand that any external shock to the product may cause heat or fire.
3. Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the product.
Do not disassemble, repair or modify the product, as it may cause the product to fail. If the product is broken, contact the customer service center.
4. Turn off the product in places where mobile phone isn't allowed, such as in an airplane, at a hospital, etc.
If you use mobile phone on airplanes or in hospital, it may influence other devices.
5. Avoid exposure to highly magnetic materials.

Do not leave the product near highly magnetic materials such as a TV, monitor, loudspeakers, etc., as doing so may cause the product to fail.
6. Avoid exposure to metal products.
If the metal area of the product's battery, mobile phone or charger is contacted with electric conductor, you may have risks of heat, electric shock, or explosion.
7. Avoid exposure to fire or water.
If your mobile phone is exposed to fire or dropped into fire, it may be deformed or failed.
The mobile phone is fully waterproof, prevent the product from being exposed to liquid if possible. Liquids may damage the circuit or component part(s) of your mobile phone to cause failure.
If you expose your mobile phone to heat radiated from heater, microwave, hot blast heater, etc., to dry, it may be deformed or broken. If the product is waterlogged, do not operate it and contact to Customer Service Center (xxxxxx). Please be aware that the product won't be eligible for free service if it is broken due to flooding or immersion.
8. Do not use the product in locations with high/low temperature extremes or high humidity.
This product is designed to work in appropriate operating temperature. Be careful when using it in locations with radically changing temperature. If you don't use the product under conditions of normal operating temperature, it may cause the product to fail. If you keep the product in a location subject to temperature extremes or radical swings in temperature, or in places of high humidity, product failure may result (recommended operating temperature: 0°C ~ +50°C).

9. To charge the product, use the same power supply with PC USB or USB power supply.
If you don't use recommended genuine accessory, the product's life span may be reduced or it may even explode.
10. Do not use the product near chemicals.
If you keep the product in a location with flammable materials such as a gas station, it may cause fire or explosion. When you're in such places, it is recommended that you not use the product and turn it off, thus ensuring your safety.
11. Do not use the product during thunderstorm activity.
To keep the product from getting wet with rains, being struck by lightning, or getting shocked, you would be better not to use the product.
12. This product was tested under general conditions of use with a distance of 1cm between its front panel and the human body.
With or without being used, more than 1.5cm of free space must be provided for the product's front panel. Be sure to keep more than 1cm distance from the front panel when using the product.
13. When you talk in speakerphone mode, keep the recom-mended distance from the product.
You can talk on speaker of this product. If you hold the speaker to your ear to talk, your hearing may get damaged or headache may be induced. Additionally, if the product's microphone is too close to your mouth, howling noise may occur to harm your talking with clear sound. Use your mobile phone more than 20cm apart.

When talking on speakerphone, howling noise is created if your counterpart doesn't have enough distance from his/her mobile phone. Be sure to check before talking on speakerphone.
Also, be careful not to interrupt others in public area.
14. Do not place magnetic materials such as magnetic card, sharp metallic objects, etc., near the product.
This product incorporates built-in magnetic parts, including speakers, a charging cradle, contact terminals, etc. Therefore, magnetic force may cause your magnetic card to fail or malfunction. Carefully understand that you may also get injured if a sharp metallic object should pierce the product.
15. If you use the product for long periods of time, the product's surface temperature may raise. In this case, stop using the product.
16. LCD and window of the product's front panel are made of glass. Be careful since the product may be damaged by severe impact or chopping. If damaged, be careful not to get hurt by pieces of broken glass. If the product's window is damaged, immediately cease product use and contact the customer service center for repair.

Warranty
Warranty Period
The manufacturer warrants this device is free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for twelve (12) months commencing upon the date of purchase by the first consumer purchaser. If proof of purchase cannot be provided, the manufacture date as recorded by manufacturer based upon the serial number will be deemed to be the start of Warranty Period.
Limited Warranty Statement
The consumer should never attempt to open or disassemble the device and doing so may cause damage that voids your warranty.
The device is equipped with an internal rechargeable battery that is non-removable.
This warranty does not cover defects resulting from :
1. Improper or unreasonable use or maintenance
2. Failure to follow operating instructions; accident; excess moisture; insects; lightning; power surges; connections to improper voltage supply;
3. Unauthorized alteration or modification of original condition ;
4. Damages caused by inadequate packing or shipping procedures ;
5. Devices purchased from unauthorized dealers.
6. If the product is damaged because it was not repaired by a technician designated by the manufacturer or an official third party
7. If the product is damaged due to a natural disaster such as fire, salt damage, flood damage, etc.

During the warranty period, manufacturer will, at its sole option, (using new or refurbished replacement parts), repair any defective devices. Repaired devices will be warranted for a period equal to the remainder of the original Limited Warranty on the original device or for NINETY (90) days, whichever is longer. All replaced parts, components, boards and equipment shall become the property of the manufacturer. The warranty is good only to the original purchaser of the device during the warranty period as long as it is in the US.
