Welcome – you’ve made the right choice

print built the largest all-digital, all-PCS nationwide network from the
ground up, reaching more than 230 million people. We built our network to give you what we believe you really want from a wireless phone: clear sound, private conversations and innovative products.
Your PCS Vision Camera allows you to take VGA-quality digital pictures and send them to your friends and family – wherever and whenever you want. This well-designed camera is easy-to-use and attaches to Samsung N400 and Samsung A500 phones.
When your camera is connected to a phone, you can upload and share pictures instantly via email with the PCS PictureShare service . The PCS PictureShare service is also available through the Web on a personal computer for picture enhancement and advanced management features.
Since you’re probably eager to begin using the camera, we encourage you to flip to Section One – Getting Started With Your PCS Vision Camera. This section provides basic phone information and lets you know how to contact Sprint should you have any questions.

Installing the Battery
To insert a battery into the camera:
1. Open the connector cover.
2. Remove the connector.
3. Slide open the battery cover (refer to the figure).
4. Insert the battery.
WARNING: UPLOAD YOUR PICTURES BEFORE YOU REPLACE THE
BATTERY. OTHERWISE, YOU WILL LOSE THE PICTURES.
Battery Precautions
Follow these precautions when installing a battery:
Use only the size and type specified.Be sure to follow the correct polarity. A reversed battery may cause
damage to the camera.
If you will not use the camera for a long period of time, save all the
pictures and remove the battery to prevent damage or injury from battery leakage.
WARNING: UPLOAD ALL PICTURES BEFORE THE BATTERY IS EMPTY.

Features of Your PCS V ision Camera
Congratulations on the purchase of your PCS Vision Camera. This camera is lightweight, easy-to-use, reliable and offers many significant features:
The PCS Vision Camera provides quality pictures by simply pressing
a button (page xx).
Review, delete and upload pictures from your phone (page xx).The PCS PictureShare WAP service on your phone lets you share and
comment on pictures via email (page xx).
You can access the PCS PictureShare Web service from a personal
computer for picture enhancement and management features (page xx).
Cleaning the Lens and Viewfinder
To clean your lens or viewfinder:
1. Blow gently on the lens or viewfinder to remove dust and dirt.
2. Wipe the lens or viewfinder gently with a soft, lint-free cloth or an
untreated lens-cleaning tissue. Do not use cleaning solutions unless they are designed specifically for camera lenses.
Note: Do not wipe your camera lens or viewfinder with a
chemically-treated eyeglass lens tissue.

Your Camera
Camera Precautions
Be sure to observe the following precautions when using your camera:
Do not open the case of the camera for any reason. Always leave service to authorized repair facilities.
Keep the camera away from water and other liquids. Do not use the camera when it is raining or snowing. Your camera can be damaged by water or any other liquids.
If foreign matter or water gets into your camera, turn the power off immediately and contact your local authorized repair facilities or service.
The image data stored in the camera's memory can be deleted by physical damage or malfunction of your camera. Be sure to keep backup copies of your images by transferring them to a personal computer.
Under a circumstance of electrostatic discharge, the camera might malfunction. You may need to reset the camera.
Do not take a picture while walking or operating a vehicle.
High temperatures can damage your camera. Try not to leave your camera in a sealed vehicle or in direct sunlight.
Do not place the camera in unstable locations where the camera may fall and be damaged.
Pressing or touching the Status LCD Display or lens can damage your camera.
When the camera is on, removing the battery may delete saved images.
Try to remove the battery when the camera is not in use for long periods of time.
Only a 3V Lithium Battery (CR123A) can be use.
Dispose of the battery in a manner that complies with applicable laws.

Press and hold the power button until the Status LCD display is active.
To turn your camera off:
Press and hold the power button until the Status LCD display turns off.
Your camera’s automatic power-off feature:
The camera automatically turns off when it is untouched for more than xx seconds.

To connect your camera to a PCS phone:
1. Open the connector cover.
2. Remove the connector.
3. Insert the connector into the bottom of your phone.
4. After connecting your camera to the phone, select Pictures from the
phone’s main menu and press .
5. Highlight Cameraand press . If it is the first time you are accessing
PCS PictureShare, you will be prompted to create an account with email, telephone and password information.
To select an option, press .
Previewto display the first picture and file size.
Uploadto send your pictures to www.pictures.sprintpcs.com. If you
have not registered for an account, you will be prompted to enter a user name and password.
Nextto display the next picture. (You can also use your phone’ s keys to
display the next or previous picture.)
Deleteto erase the selected picture.

Taking Pictures
To take a picture, position your subject in the viewfinder and hold the camera steady. Then, press the shutter button until the cameras beeps.
Picture Storage
Your camera can store up to 36 pictures. The picture counter on the Status LCD keeps track of your remaining pictures. The Status LCD blinks when you cannot store any more pictures.
Tip:Make sure your fingers are not in front of the lens when you take
a picture.

Before you download pictures from your camera, you must first install the camera driver on your personal computer.
Note: Do not connect the camera to your personal computer
until you have completed the driver installation.
To download the camera driver software:
1. From your personal computer, go to www.pictures.sprintpcs.com
and sign in to your account.
2. Click the Help tab.
3. Click on the camera driver software link. Automated screens will walk
you through the installation process and provide instructions on how to transfer pictures.

By accessing your PCS PictureShare account from your phone’s Web browser, you can view and share pictures stored in your Picture Inbox and Albums. (Access the following features from the

To share pictures with text messages via e-mail:

Highlight the album that contains the picture you want to share and click
View.
2. Highlight the picture you want to share and click Options.
3. Select Share Picture.
4. Enter an email address or select one from your address book by

1. From the main menu, highlight My Pictures and press . The
number of picture stored in the camera will be displayed.
2. To select a menu option, highlight it and press .

Uploadto send your pictures to www.pictures.sprintpcs.com. If you
have not registered for an account, you will be prompted to enter a user name and password.
Nextto display the next picture. (You can also use your phone’ s keys to
display the next or previous picture.)

After pictures have been successfully transferred, they are automatically deleted from the camera.
If the picture fails to upload, an error message is displayed. Highlight

To rename or create Albums:
1.
Highlight the album you want to rename. If you want to create a new album, do not highlight an album.
2. Click Options.

4. Edit the album title you are renaming or enter the name of your
new album.
To delete Albums:
