Honestly Impressive

The InFocus IN83 brings true cinema experience to a wider
audience. This projector integrates the very latest in digital
imaging technology with the 1080p DLP® DarkChip4 chipset from
Texas Instruments™. Rendering the most lifelike images possible
with enhanced contrast and greater brightness, the IN83 is the
most powerful and versatile home cinema projector in InFocus’
lineup, bright enough to watch sports in daylight with the lights
on. When desired the brightness can be decreased for nighttime
or dedicated dark theaters to achieve outstanding black-level
performance.

2.35:1 scaling built-in

Leveraging the latest Pixelworks™ DNX™ 10-bit video processing,
the IN83 is a master of full-HD reproduction. This outstanding
processing, de-interlacing, and scaling performance is based
on the “home theater of the year” IN82 and award-winning IN7x
series. The IN83 hosts 2.35:1 Cinemascope/widescreen aspect
ratio support without an external scaler (requires the Panamorph
anamorphic lens, available separately).

True Colors at first sight

The IN83 is precalibrated for film standard color accuracy and
exhibits none of the color decay often found with other projector
technologies. The IN83’s luminance measures at 1600 Max
ANSI lumens after D6500K calibration. A rich 15000:1 contrast
further enriches the image in theater rooms or mixed-use space.
Utilizing the very latest in high definition connectivity the IN83 has
onboard HDMI 1.3 inputs with Deep Color™ support. This new
HDMI standard will display up to 1.07 billion colors for a smooth
picture without color band artifacts. The IN83 also provides a
complete suite of connections, including DVI and PC input, screen
triggers, RS232, and an IR repeater input.
