WARNINGS
TO BE USED WITH A LAP-SASH/LAP ONLY SEAT BELT IN THE FRONT/BACK OF MOST CARS WITH FORWARD-FACING SEATS.
For a vehicle without a xed parcel shelf an extension strap(s) may be needed. If so ring (02) 4728 8090
for nearest supply location. This restraint must be attached to a child restraint anchorage point in the car.
Refer to car owner’s handbook for location of anchorage points. Refer to a child restraint tting station if
no car anchorage points are in the motor vehicle. Before installation please read the whole instructions
carefully on installation and if in doubt about the method of installation please consult Infa Products or
a child restraint tting station authorised by the relevant transport authority. In New Zealand, consult the
agent for the vehicle.
Connect and use the restraint exactly as shown in the instructions. Fit the restraint rmly to the car seat.
Fit the harness rmly to the child. A loose restraint or harness is dangerous. Supervision of children is
needed because they may be able to undo buckles.
Repairs must only be done by the manufacturer or agent. Do not alter or modify this restraint. Do not
allow the restraint to come into contact with polishes, oils, bleach and other chemicals. Destroy the
restraint if it has been in a severe crash, even if no damage is visible. Seat belt
extenders should not be
used if the seat belt is not long enough to secure the child restraint.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Regular care of the restraint will ensure safety of your child.
(A) Check the webbing for fraying.
(B) Check that the buckle clicks and is not sluggish or sticky in operation.
(C) Ensure there are no cracks in moulding or the plastic moulding.
(D) Check the harness adjuster is operating and is clamping the webbing.
IMPORTANT: Care must be taken that food, sticky liquids (eg fruit juice, milk formulas, etc) does not get inside
your harness buckle as it may become sluggish. If you do not hear an audible click when engaging the buckle it
may mean it is becoming sluggish. Immediately contact Infa Products so that it can be cleaned and checked to
ensure it is operating properly.

THIS RESTRAINT MUST BE ATTACHED TO A CHILD RESTRAINT ANCHORAGE POINT IN THE CAR. REFER TO CAR OWNER’S
HANDBOOK FOR LOCATION OF ANCORAGE POINTS. REMOVE THE THREAD PLUG AND INSTALL THE ATTACHMENT BOLT
AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 1A & 1B. REFER TO A CHILD RESTRAINT FITTING STATION IF NO ANCHORAGE POINTS ARE IN THE MOTOR CAR.

FOR SEDANS ONLY
Drill a 9mm diameter hole in the parcel shelf on the centre
line of the seating position as shown in Figure 1D. Hole
must be no closer than 200mm from the front of the back
seat. Install the anchor bolt as shown in Figure 1C.
In New Zealand consult the agent of the vehicle.
WARNING: CHILD RESTRAINTS MUST NOT BE ATTACHED TO UNSOUND
METAL OR WOOD OR SYNTHETIC STRUCTURES. WHEN DRILLING THE 9MM
HOLE DO NOT DRILL THROUGH FUEL LINES, FUEL TANKS, ELECTRICAL
WIRING OR RADIO SPEAKERS. WEBBING STRAPS MUST BE PROTECTED
FROM SHARP CORNERS AND EDGES.
THE ANCHOR FITTING MUST BE USED ONLY AS DESCRIBED ABOVE. IT
MUST NOT BE HOOKED ONTO ANY OTHER OBJECT.

In Australia, consult your nearest child restraint tting station or
trafc authority for vehicle inspection to nd the best, correct
position for the placement of the anchorage point, and for the
correct attachment bolt length and use of spacers.

Step 1: Do step 1 to 3 from “to change the shoulder slot height” on page 6.
Step 2: Disengage the buckle and tongues. Push the buckle through the crotch slot in the cover. Pull the
cover up and through the shoulder strap webbing and buckle tongues. Do NOT remove the harness
from under the seat.
Step 3: Once cover is removed, “click” the buckle tongue back into the buckle for safe keeping.
TO REMOVE COVER

Step 1: Disengage buckle tongues from the buckle.
Step 2: Feed shoulder strap webbing and buckle tongues through the thigh slot holes in the cover.
Step 3: Feed buckle through the crotch slot hole of the cover.
Step 4: Do steps 4 & 5 from “to change the shoulder slot height” on page 6.
TO REPLACE COVER
Step 1: Slide the harness shoulder straps out through
the gates in the metal spreader plate. Pull the
harness shoulder straps through the shoulder
slots to the front of the restraint.
Step 2: Disengage buckle tongues from the buckle.
Step 3: Pass the three bar slide located below the
thigh harness slots on the end of each body/
shoulder straps through the thigh harness
slots. Each side of harness is now removed.
Step 4: To release the buckle / crotch strap pass the
three bar slides attached through the crotch
slot holes in seat section.
TO REMOVE HARNESS
Step 1: Place one end of one of the harnesses through
the required shoulder slot hole (see arrow 1 in
Figure 16) and connect to the metal spreader
plate by passing the webbing through the
“gate” (see arrow 2 in gure 16)
Step 2: Feed the other end of the harness and the three
bar slide through the thigh slot (see arrows 3 in
gure 16)
Step 3: Connect the buckle/crotch strap by feeding
the three bar slides on the crotch strap through
the holes in seat section.
Step 4: Connect the other side of the harness as
shown in gure 16 and Steps 1- 2 above
Step 5: Engage the buckle tongues in the buckle.

Normally this restraint is used in the rear seat but in certain vehicle types, e.g. sports cars/mini cars, etc, where the rear
seat is too small, the only possible position is the front passenger seat, adjusted as rearward as possible. The tether strap
must be attached to the anchorage point provided, and corresponding rear seating position should not be used. (An
extension strap may be required to reach the anchorage point certain instances). [Extension strap Part No. CCS003]
WARNINGS:
To ensure baby’s back is evenly supported, do not put more than one nappy on the baby and make
sure the nappy is not thickly folded at the back. DO NOT USE REAR FACING CHILD RESTRAINT WHERE
AN AIRBAG IS FITTED IN FRONT OF THE SEATING POSITION. Fit the restraint rmly to the car seat. Fit the
harness rmly to the child. A loose restraint or harness is dangerous. THIS TETHER STRAP MUST ALWAYS BE
FITTED WHEN THE CHILD RESTRAINT IS USED IN A VEHICLE. (see gure 4).
HOW TO INSTALL: INFANT POSITION (0-9 KG)
Step 1: At the front of your restraint is a red lever. Pull red lever
forward and slide seat forward as far as possible.
Step 2: Position restraint on vehicle seat. Ensure recline
section is swung forward (see gure 3A) and also that
the restraint is directly in line with anchorage point.
Step 3: Make sure upper anchorage strap (B) is as in
illustration (gure 4 and 4A - Page 4) i.e. positioned
around restraint back and along each side of the
restraint.

Whilst holding the lap belt tight, by pulling up on sash
belt continously, place the red belt clamp on the sash
section of the vehicle belt at point (J) in Figure 3B.
Point J is as close to the buckle as possible. Refer
to gure 3C below for operation of the red clamp.
Feed adult lap or lap/sash belt around the
base/backrest of the restraint. Ensure the lap portion
only is position behind the ngers (L1 + L2). Engage
the buckle tongue assembly (A). Check it is properly
engaged. Tighten vehicle seat belt so sash and lap
belts are both tight.

To remove child from the restraint press the red harness buckle release
button which releases buckle tongues from the buckle. Move each
shoulder strap to the child’s side to allow easy access to the child.
Remove the child.
HOW TO USE FOR CHILD (8-18 KG) - Forward Facing Mode

CORRECT SHOULDER HEIGHT FOR FORWARD FACING MODE
The correct height for the shoulder straps is very important for the
optimum performance of the restraint. The shoulder straps must
be positioned no lower than 25mm below the top of the child’s
shoulders. If the harness straps are more than 25mm below the level
of the child’s shoulders then the child is too large for the restraint
and should not be used (see gure 13). The shoulder strap slots
used in forward facing position are the upper and middle positions.
Step 1: Turn the restraint so that the back of the seat is facing
you.
Step 2: Remove each shoulder harness through the gates in the
spreader plate (see gure 14).
Step 3: Pull the shoulder harness straps through the shoulder slot
holes in the seat body and cover. They are now loose in
the front of the seat.
Step 4: Push the ends of the shoulder harness straps through the
appropriate shoulder slot holes in the cover and seat body
for the child’s shoulder height. (see above for correct shoulder
height for forward facing, page 4 for rearward facing).
Step 5: The shoulder harness straps go directly from the shoulder
slot holes to the spreader plate. Thread each shoulder
harness strap back onto the metal spreader plate through
the gate (see Figure 14).

To adjust the recline angle, undo red clamp, loosen lap sash
section across base, adjust to require recline angle and tighten
vehicle belt as described in step 4. Install red belt clamp.
Step 6: Make sure upper anchorage strap (B) is as in illustration (Figures 4 and 4A) i.e. positioned around restraint back.
Step 7: Connect upper anchorage strap (B) to anchorage point (F) and adjust rmly by pulling at (C) - lift adjuster to
lengthen. In certain vehicles an extension strap may be needed. Do not overtighten upper anchorage strap.
Tighten till slack removed. Roll up excess webbing of upper anchorage strap and secure with velcro straps.

harness until it is a rm but comfortable t. Ensure buckle is
adjusted centrally in relation to the child. Adjust if necessary.
Step 4: If upper anchorage strap has been loosened to allow easier
placing of the baby in the restraint, tighten the upper anchorage
strap so it has no slack in it. DO NOT TIGHTEN EXCESSIVELY.
To remove child from the restraint press the red harness buckle release
button which releases buckle tongues from the buckle. Move each
shoulder strap to the child’s side to allow easy access to the child.

CORRECT SHOULDER HEIGHT FOR REARWARD FACING MODE
The correct height for the shoulder straps is very important

shoulders (see gure 5A). The shoulder slots used in rearward
facing position is the lower and middle row of slots.

Step 1: Remove the restraint from the rearward facing mode.
Swing recline section to the rear of the base and ‘click’
into position (Refer to Figure 6).
Step 2: Place the restraint in desired upright or reclined position,
with the back against the back of the vehicle seat,
directly in line with the anchorage point.
Step 3: Fold the rear of seat base cover and foam to expose
the seating surface of the base. Pass the lap and sash
sections of the vehicle belt under the rst hook (K1),
across the seat base under the second hook (K2) and
“click” the buckle tongue in the buckle. (Refer to Figure 7)
Important notes: (1) The vehicle belt is now located
across the seat base. (2) The belt path is shown by the
yellow arrows in Figure 7.
Step 4: Push down on the base of the restraint (with knee or hand)
whilst pulling the sash section of the vehicle belt rmly
up in direction of the yellow arrow in gure 8.This will
make the lap belt very tight across the seat base. Whilst
continuing to pull the sash section up (i.e maintaining
tightness of the lap section) attach the red belt clamp on
the sash section as close as possible above the buckle
tongue. (Refer to Figure 10 and instruction for installing
the red clamp below) Tighten sash section of belt across
the base. Place layer of foam and seat cover back into
position over the top of the vehicle belt.
NOTE: To install the red clamp, open it and clamp the
“sash section” of the vehicle seat belt by closing the barrel
section of the red belt clamp in the direction of arrow 1
in gure 10 and then locking with the toggle section by
pushing in the direction of arrow 2 in gure 10 when the
belt clamp is secured in place, the lap section is now
tightly holding your child restraint in place, independent
of the sash section. Always keep the red clamp in pocket
provided when not in use.
Step 5: Attach the upper anchorage strap/clip to the anchor
tting (point F). The anchor tting must be secured to
the vehicle as per instructions on page 2. Adjust upper
anchorage strap (E) by pulling webbing through adjuster
(C). To lengthen, lift adjuster to release webbing and then
lengthen. Ensure upper anchorage strap is adjusted
rmly. (Refer to Figure 11).
