SETUP
Head Moun ting (FIGURES 1 & 2 )
If your Mono pod did not come with a Head , selec t one of the fine Ind uro Tripod He ads that match your size Monop od and install by scr ewing the Head clock wise onto the 3/8" Mo unting Thread of the Top Plate. Once it is hand tight, s ecure by fully tighte ning the Head Lo cking Screw(s) f rom below with the includ ed Allen Key.
Most Hea ds have a 3/8" Base Mount so your Induro Monopo d is shippe d with the 3/ 8 Mounting Threa d expos ed, but if the Head you choo se uses a 1/4–20 you can att ach it by simply rever sing the Mounting Screw. To do this tur n the Locking Nut coun ter­clock wise (using the supp lied Wrench) until it become s loose, and unscr ew the Mounting Scre w until it can be co mpletely remove d. Reverse the Screw, so that the thread s are in posit ion and screw it back into pl ace, secure with th e Locking Nut using the wren ch.
NOTE: Al low enough of the scre w thread s to be avail able for maximum se curity when the Head is mounted on to the Monopod. It’s rec ommended that at least 5 to 6 thre ads be exposed befo re locking the Mountin g Screw in pl ace.
OPERATION
Before us ing your Monopod , adjust ea ch Leg Section to the desir ed height.
Make sure tha t the Monop od is firmly resting on a stabl e surf ace and mount your came ra securely on the Monop od Head. Always en gage any safety lo cks on the Monop od Head to prevent any acc idental dismounting.
FOR BES T RESULT S: Do not rais e the Monopod higher tha n neces sary and extend the large st diamete r Leg Sec tions first.
NOTE: Ne ver carry your Mo nopod with came ra gear att ached.
Leg Sec tion Adjustmen t (FIGUR ES 3 & 4)
Each Leg S ection can be adjus ted to the desired length by tu rning the Leg Lock Gr ip 1/2 turn (180°) clock wise until the Leg is fr ee to slide in or out. Once the desir ed length is achiev ed, turn the Leg Lock Gr ip counter -clockwis e until the leg sectio n is secur ely locked. Repeat this step fo r each Leg Se ction until the Monop od is set to the desired hei ght.
NOTE: To preve nt any accidental dam age to your gear, always remove any moun ted equipment (camer a, etc.) from the Mono pod before adjus ting the Leg Sec tions.
USER NOTICE
c Do not exceed the ma ximum specified lo ad
capac ity (see specific ations on the package l abel or visit w ww.induro gear.com).
c Alway s ensure tha t Leg and Head Lo cks are
tightly eng aged before mounti ng any gear on your Monopod.
c Do not use any Mono pod below tempera tures of
−4°F or above +158°F (−2 0°C / +70°C).
c Alway s clean and dr y any Monopod after it
has been exp osed to wet, dusty, san dy or salty conditions. Your Monop od is not recom mended for use in salt water. If required, clea n Monopo d using a mild soap solu tion applied with a sof t cloth, rinse with fre sh water and dry with sof t towel. Remove any dust, dir t or sand from all Leg Lock s, Leg Sections and all moving parts .
c Do not leave any Monopod in the sun for prol onged
perio ds and avoid high temper ature exposure.
c Avoid leav ing any Monopod or Tripod una ttended in
areas wh ere people could trip ov er the equipment and get hurt.
c Remove camera, lens , and all gear fro m the
Monopo d when tra nsporting .
c For your safe ty, don’t let your Induro gear com e in
contac t with any ele ctrical powe r source.
