Important Safety Information
Read these simple guidelines. Breaking the rules may be dangerous or illegal. Further detailed information is given in this user guide.
Violation of the instructions may cause serious
injury or death.
Safety Information
¾ Unplug the charger during lightning storms to avoid electric shock or fire.
¾ When riding in a car, do not leave your phone or set up the hands-free kit
near to the air bag. If wireless equipment is improperly installed and the air bag is activated, you may be seriously injured.
¾ Do not use a hand-held phone while driving.
¾ Do not expose the battery charger or adapter to direct sunlight or use
it in places with high humidity, such as a bathroom.
¾ Never store your phone in temperatures less than -15°C or greater
than 50°C.
¾ Make sure that no sharp-edged items such as animal’s teeth, nails,
come into contact with the battery. There is a risk of this causing a fire.
¾ Store the battery in a place out of reach of children. ¾ Be careful that children do not swallow any parts such as rubber plugs
(earphone, connection parts of the phone, etc.). This could cause asphyxiation or suffocation.
¾ Never use an unapproved battery since this could damage the phone a
nd/or battery and could cause the battery to explode.
¾ When charging, please do not remove the battery
¾ Never place your phone in a microwave oven as it will cause the
battery to explode
¾ Do not dispose of your battery by fire or with hazardous or flammable
materials.

¾ Do not use the phone in areas where its use is prohibited.
¾ Allows you to enter 3 SOS numbers You can call these SOS numbers
100, 101, 102 even when the phone is locked or restricted.
¾ Do not use harsh chemicals(such as alcohol, benzene, thinners, etc.) or
detergents to clean your phone. There is a risk of this causing a fire.
¾ Do not drop, strike, or shake your phone severely. Such actions may
harm the internal circuit boards of the phone.
¾ Do not disassemble the phone. ¾ Do not place or answer calls while charging the phone as it may short-
circuit the phone and/or cause electric shock or fire.
¾ Only use the batteries and chargers provided and approved by
UNICAIR. The warranty will not be applied to products provided by other suppliers.
¾ Only authorized personnel should service the phone and its
accessories. Faulty installation or service may result in accidents and consequently invalidate the warranty.
¾ Do not handle the phone with wet hands while it is being charged. It

Please read and observe the following information for safe and proper use of your p hone and to prevent damage. Also, keep the user guide in an accessible place at all the times after reading it.
Charger and Adapter Safety
z The charger and adapter are intended for indoor use only.
Battery Information and Care
z Please dispose of your battery properly or take it to your local wireless carrier for
recycling.
z The battery does not need to be fully discharged before recharging. z Use only UNICAIR-approved chargers specific to your phone model since they are
designed to maximize battery life.
z Do not disassemble or short-circuit the battery. z Keep the battery’s metal contacts clean. z Replace the battery when it no longer provides acceptable performance. The battery
can be recharged several hundred times before replacement.
z Recharge the battery after long periods of non-use to maximize battery life. z Battery life will vary due to usage patterns and environmental conditions. z Use of extended backlighting, Mini-Browser, and data connectivity kits affect battery life
and talk/standby times.
z The self-protection function of the battery cuts the power of the phone when its
operation is in an abnormal state. In this case, remove the battery from the phone, reinstall it, and turn the phone on.
Explosion, Shock, and Fire Hazards
z Do not put your phone in a place subject to excessive dust and keep the minimum
required distance between the power cord and heat sources.
z Unplug the power cord prior to cleaning your phone, and clean the power plug pin
when it is dirty.
z When using the power plug, ensure that it is firmly connected. If it is not, it may cause
excessive heat or fire.
z If you put your phone in a pocket or bag without covering the receptacle of the phone
(power plug pin), metallic articles (such as a coin, paperclip or pen) may short-circuit the phone. Always cover the receptacle when not in use.
z Do not short-circuit the battery. Metallic articles such as a coin, paperclip or pen in your
pocket or bag may short-circuit the + and – terminals of the battery (metal strips on the battery) upon moving. Short-circuit of the terminal may damage the battery and cause an explosion.
Violation of the instructions may cause minor or serious damage to the product.

General Notice
z Using a damaged battery or placing a battery in your mouth may cause serious injury. z Do not place items containing magnetic components such as a credit card, phone card,
bank book or subway ticket near your phone. The magnetism of the phone may damage the data stored in the magnetic strip.
z Talking on your phone for a long period of time may reduce call quality due to heat
generated during use.
z When the phone is not used for a long period time, store it in a safe place with the
power cord unplugged.
z Using the phone in proximity to receiving equipment (i.e., TV or radio) may cause
interference to the phone.
z Do not use the phone if the antenna is damaged. If a damaged antenna contacts skin,
it may cause a slight burn. Please contact an UNICAIR Authorized Service Center to replace the damaged antenna.
z Do not immerse your phone in water. If this happens, turn it off immediately and
remove the battery. If the phone does not work, take it to an UNICAIR Authorized Service Center.
z The power cord on this product will expose you to lead, a chemical known to the State
of California to cause (cancer) birth defects or other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling
z Do not paint your phone. z The data saved in your phone might be deleted due to careless use, repair of the
phone, or upgrade of the software. Please backup your important phone numbers. (Ring tones, text messages, voice messages, pictures, and videos could also be deleted.) The manufacturer is not liable for damage due to the loss of data.
z When you use the phone in public places, set the ring tone to vibration so as not to
disturb others.
z Do not turn your phone on or off when putting it in your ear.

3. Getting Started
Installing and Removing the Battery
Charge the battery fully before the initial use of the phone. The phone comes with a rechargeable battery. Keep the battery charged while not in use in order to maximize talk and standby time when using the phone.
z To install, insert the battery into the opening on the back of the phone, and
insert the bottom of battery into groove at the bottom of the handset. Gently press down the cover until the latch snaps into place.
z To remove, turn the power off. Push the back cover down. Push the tab with
one hand and lift the top of the battery to separate.
1) LCD Screen: Displays messages & indicator icons.
2) Left Soft Key / OK Key :
Accepts the highlighted choice when navigating through a menu. In idle screen , press [ OK ] Key to TATA Zone menu
3) Right Soft Key / Clear Key :
Press to delete a single space or character. Press and hold to delete entire words. Press this key once in any menu to go back to the previous menu. In Standby Mode, press to find contacts
4) END/PWR Key :
Used to turn power on/off and to end a call. Using this key, you can return to the main menu display screen.
5) CALL Key : Allow user to place or answer calls, See and redial from call history
6) Navigation Keys :
These Navigation keys allow you access to some functions quickly.
¾ [UP] entry to Key Volume Setting function. ¾ [DOWN] entry to Shortcut menu, you can select your favorite function., ¾ [LEFT] entry to Set Profile mode menu, you can set Silent, ¾ [RIGHT] short time press, entry to Messages menu, long time press, entry to

7) Number Keys :
These keys enable you to enter numbers and characters and choose menu items.
8) # Key : In standby mode, set the vibrate mode by pressing and holding the key
about 2 seconds.
9) * Key : In standby mode, set the phone lock by pressing and holding the
key about 2 seconds
10) AM / FM Key : Set key tone and volumes. Use for scrolling in menu and enter
into AM/FM radio.
11) [+]Key: Press [ + ] The alarm will be ringing
12)TORCH Key: Press this key ,the phone will turn on the flashlight
13)Camera key: Allow you to use the camera function
14)SOS Key: This is urgent key, when you are in danger , press SOS will send a
message to the people which you have set or long press(more than 2s) will send a message and a call.

Charging the Battery
To use the charger provided with your phone: Warning! Use only the charger provided with the phone. Using any charger other than the one included with the UNICAIR R150A may damage your phone or battery.
z Plug the round end of the adapter into the phone’s charger jack and the other
end into an electrical outlet.
z The charge time varies depending upon the battery level. The maximum charge
time for a fully discharged battery is 3.5 hours.
Installing the UIM Card
Power off your phone and remove the battery. Insert the User Identity Module (UIM) card
Battery Charge Level
The battery charge level is shown at the top right of the LCD screen.
When the battery charge level becomes low, the low battery sensor will alert you in three ways: sounding an audible tone, blinking the battery icon outline, and displaying Low battery. Recharge soon, if the battery charge level becomes exceedingly low, the phone will automatically switch off and any function in progress will not be saved.
