Safety Is a Good Habit to Get Into
NOTICE
Carefully read the instruct ions contained in t his manual, as
they provide important inf ormation w hich is essential t o safe
and proper installation, use and maint enance of the
appliance.
This appliance complies w ith the follow ing EEC
directives:
- 73/ 23/ EEC of 19/ 02/73 (Low Voltage) and subsequent
modifications;
- 89/ 336/ EEC of 03/ 05/ 89 (Electromagnetic Compatibilit y)
and subsequent modifications.
1.Caref ully dispose of the packing material.
2.After removing t he packing, check to make sure t hat the
appliance is not damaged. If in doubt, cont act a qualified
prof essional.
3.The dishwasher must only be used by adult s for the w ashing
of household dishes and cooking ut ensils.
4.Fundament al rules to follow when using the appliance:
- Never t ouch t he dishwasher w hen barefoot or w ith w et
hands or feet;
- W e discourage t he use of ext ension cords and multiple
socket s;
- During installation, the pow er supply cord must not be
excessively or dangerously bent o r flattened;
- If t he appliance is not operating properly or main t enance
must b e performed, d isconnect the appliance from the pow er
supply.
5.Keep detergents ou t of t he reach of children, w ho must
also be kept away from the dishw asher w hen it is open.
6.This appliance cannot be installed outdoors, not even if
the area in w hich it is installed is covered by a roof; it is also
very dangerous to leave it exposed to the rain and element s.
7.Do not touch t he heating element during or af t er a w ash
cycle.
8.Do not lean or sit on t he door when it is open, as this
could overt urn the dishw asher.
9.If the appliance malfunctions, turn off w ater supply to the
appliance and disconnect t he plug from t he w all socket.
Then, consult the section entitled, " Troubleshoot ing." If you
cannot resolve t he prob lem, contact a service centre.
10.Appliances w hich are no longer being used m ust be m ade
inoperable by cutting t he pow er supply cord and removing
the door lock.

Salt
The hardness of t he w ater varies from place to place. If
hard w ater is used in the d ishw asher, deposits w ill f orm on
the dishes and utensils.
The appliance is equipped w ith a special softener that uses
a salt specifically designed to eliminate lime and minerals
from t h e w ater.
Loading the Salt into t he Softener
Always use salt intended for use w it h dishw ashers.
The salt container is locat ed beneath t he low er rack and
should be f illed as follow s:
1. Remove the lo w er rack and then unscrew and remove
the cap from the salt container;
2. If you are f illing the cont ainer for t he first time, f ill it w ith
w ater;
3. Place the end of t he funnel (supplied) into the hole and
int roduce about 2 kg of salt. It is normal f or a small amount
of water t o come out of the salt container.
4. Carefully screw the cap back on.
Adjusting Salt Consumpt ion
The dishw ash er is designed to
allow f or adjusting the amount
of salt consumed based on the
harness of t he w ater used. This
is intend ed to optimize and custom ize the level of salt consumption so t hat it remains at a minimum.
Your Local Wat er Board can
supply the degree of hardness of
the w ater
in your area.
To adjust salt consumption, proceed as follow s:
1) Unscrew t he cap from t he salt cont ain er.
2) There is a rin g on t he con t ainer w ith an arrow on it (see
figure t o t he side), if necessary, rot at e t he ring in t he ant iclockwise direction from t he "_" sett ing t ow ards the " +"
sign, based on t he hardness of t he w ater being used.
It is recommended t hat adjustm ents be made in accordance w ith the f ollow ing schema:
The salt container must be filled w hen the "low salt"
indicator light (located on the control panel) comes
on.
Warning: To prevent rust from forming, w e advise you t o
load t he salt before start ing a w ash cycle.

Detergent and Rinse Aid ....
Detergent
Detergent specifically intended for use w ith dishw ashers must
be used. The dispenser must be ref illed bef ore t he start o f
each w ash cycle f ollow ing the instruct ions provided in the
" Wash Cycle Table." The detergent dispenser is locat ed on
the inside panel of t h e door.
Loading the detergent
To open lid " A" , press button " B" . The cleaning detergent
should be introdu ced into the t w o containers " C" and " D"
up t o the rim .
Af ter pouring in t he detergent, replace t he lid, pressing dow n
until it clicks.

Rinse Aid
This product makes dishes sparkle and help s them to dry
w ithout spot ting. The dispenser is located on the inside panel
of the door and should be filled after every 80 w ash cycles
(or w hen the rinse aid indicator light comes on f or those
models with this featu re).
Loading the Rinse Aid
To open t he dispenser, turn t he " C" cap in the anti-clockw ise
direction and t hen pour in the rinse aid, making sure not t o
overf ill. The am ount of rinse aid used for each cycle can be
regulated by t urning t he " F" dose adjustor, located beneath
the " C" cap, w ith a screwdriver. There are 6 dif f erent
sett ings; the normal dosage setting is 3.
Important :
Proper dosage of t he rinse aid improves drying.
If drops of w at er remain on t he dishes or spot t ing occurs,
the dosage adjustor should be turned to a higher sett ing. If
the dishes have w hite streaks, turn t he dosage adjustor t o a
low er setting.

Dishwasher detergent in t ablets is now available on the
market , in w hich case you should place one tablet int o
container " D" and replace t he lid.
Those Institut es which carry out comp arat ive t ests should
keep to the dosage indications contained in the w ash cycle
table.
Notice: To facilitate closing t he cover, remove any
excess detergent on t he edges of t he dispenser.
