1. OVERVIEW
1) The solar pump is designed for indoor or outdoor use, and is powered either by a solar panel or by
110V AC power via a special AC/DC adapter. In order to make the pump work, the solar panel needs
to be placed in the sun facing the sunlight.
2) The performance of the pump depends on the sunlight intensity and the orientation of the solar panel.
3) The back-up battery can also be recharged by plugging in the AC adapter to a 110 volt outlet. It is a
slow-charging system that takes about 5 days to fully recharge.

3. ASSEMBLING
1) Unpack all components carefully.
2) Connect the pump to the solar
panel.
3) Connect the nozzles with the pump outlet. The nozzles can produce 2 different jet shapes like the above
picture.
4) Make sure to place the pump fully underwater when the pump operates.
5) To produce the excellent fountain effect, leave the fountain head or nozzle 5 - 10cm above the water
surface.
6) The solar pump is now ready to operate.
7) Connect the pump to the solar panel or AC /DC Adapter when the solar energy is not available.
4. OPERATION
Note the ON/OFF button located at the rear of the rock.
Depress button to ON will cause the fountain to work during adequate sunlight. During adequate sunlight, some
of the solar energy is stored for additional operation after loss of sunlight.
Depress button to OFF will store the energy that is gained during sunlight and will extend the operation when
there is no sunlight. Depress button to ON at any time to begin the flow.

5. CAUTION
1) Do not alter the product itself or change any of the components.
2) Do not connect the pump to any AC voltage power directly. Use the AC/DC adapter included with the
pump. Only 12-18V DC source is allowed, such as the output from the present solar rock.
3) Operate the pump in freshwater or saltwater only (never above 122
°). Keep it away from flammable
liquids.
4) Do not strike the solar panel.
5) Do not let the pump run dry.
6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1) If after some time the pump starts losing power or stops working, please clean up sediment in the pump
shell or filter cribs. Note the pump can be opened by pressing down on the bottom of the filter housing
(See the above photo for demonstration).
2) To clear the impeller, open the pump housing at the front by sliding up the front plastic cover.
3) The solar panel should only be cleaned with soft tissue or propriety glass cleaning solution.
7. TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM: Pump does not operate even though the solar panel is in full sunlight.
• No connection to the solar panel — check connection to the solar panel.
• Impeller is blocked — to clean the pump, remove the front plate and the impeller, and use a small brush
and water to remove any debris.
• Battery not sufficiently charged — Depress the button on the rock to OFF and set the rock in the sun
without working for 8 hours. After a full day of sunshine to charge the battery, turn the switch to ON.
• Battery not sufficiently charged — Rechargeable AA batteries (included with product) will lose
efficiency after about a year and a half and therefore need to be changed. To change AA batteries, open
cover of the battery compartment on the bottom of the artificial rock.
PROBLEM: Pump does operate, but there is no water running through the tubes.
• Clear the tube and the filter to make sure the tube is through completely.
