SPECIFICATIONS
Working Environment .................
The ImproX RRM is designed to work in an
indoor environment similar to IP42. The
ImproX RRM is, therefore, NOT sealed against
water.

INSTALLATION INFORMATION
Accessories
Find the following when unpacking the Remote Reader:
An ImproX (RRM) Registration Remote Reader housed in a Natural, Anodised,
Aluminium extruded Cabinet. The ImproX RRM consists of a Front Cover, a Base
Frame and two Side Plates (the assembly includes 2 m (7 ft) of flat, 4-core Cable).
An extra Serial Number Label.
General
Remember the following when installing the Remote Reader:
Distance between the Registration Interface and the ImproX RRM
The maximum cable distance between the ImproX Registration Interface and the
ImproX RRM, MUST NOT exceed 2 m (7 ft).

Mounting the Cabinet
CAUTION: Make certain that you place the Registration Remote Reader on a
vibration-free surface.
There is no installation required for the ImproX RRM.
Place the Remote Reader in a convenient location near the Registration Interface and
Host PC.
Connecting the ImproX RRM
Figure 1 shows a typical connection diagram for the ImproX RRM.

NOTE: On powering up, the Remote Reader will produce a beep sound and the
Status LED will illuminate solid Red.
The ImproX RRM will not read Tags until configured in the Software. Details
of these procedures are located in the IXP120, IXP200 or IXP300 and
IXP400 Software Manuals.
Serial Number Label
The loose Serial Number Label (packaged with the Remote Reader) identifies the type
of Remote Reader and its Serial Number.
