SPECIFICATIONS
Designed to work in an indoor or outdoor
environment similar to IP55. The ImproX QT is,
therefore, sealed against water.
3.0 V, 220 mAh, CR2032 lithium coin cell.
Up to 2 years, at 10 operations per day, at
+25°C (+77°F).
Up to 20 to 50 m (22 to 55 yd) (line of sight),
when used with the ImproX RF 4-Channel UHF
Receiver (UHR903-0-1-GB-XX).
A steady Red LED. Switches ON during the
time that any one of the Push-buttons is
pressed.
Four ribbed Push-buttons.

USER INFORMATION
Accessories
Find the following when unpacking the Transmitter:
An ImproX Quad Transmitter housed in an opaque Dark Blue, Polycarbonate
Plastic housing. The Transmitters housing consists of a Lid and Base, secured
with 3 Self-tapping Screws (M2 x 6 mm).
A 3 V CR2032 lithium coin cell Battery (installed in the Transmitter).
A 25 mm Key-ring.

Operating Modes
The Quad Transmitter can be configured in one of two modes:
Default, “Dynamic Code Transmission Mode” compatible with the ImproX RF 4-
Channel UHF Receiver (model UHR903-0-1-GB-XX).
“Standard Mode” compatible with the legacy ImproX RF 4-Channel UHF Receiver
(model UHR900-0-1-GB-XX).
Procedure to Change Modes
1. Press and hold down Push-buttons 2 and 4 at the same time until the LED flashes,
release the Push-buttons.
2. Press Push-button 1 within three seconds to change to the new Mode.
3. The Red Power LED indicates the Mode:
a. In “Dynamic Code Transmission Mode” the LED flashes rapidly.
b. In “Standard Mode” the LED illuminates steady Red.

Procedure to Confirm the Current Mode
1. Press and hold down Push-buttons 2 and 4 at the same time until the LED flashes,
release the Push-buttons.
2. After three seconds the Red Power LED indicates the Mode:
a. In “Dynamic Code Transmission Mode” the LED flashes rapidly.
b. In “Standard Mode” the LED illuminates steady Red.
Connection Requirements for Utilization of Four Buttons
When used in conjunction with the ImproX RF 4-Channel UHF Receiver
(UHR903-0-1-GB-XX) and a single ImproX (PT) Portal Terminal, only two Push-buttons
on the Quad Transmitter are available for use.
In order to utilize all four of the Quad Transmitters Push-buttons, connect two
ImproX (PT) Portal Terminals to the ImproX RF 4-Channel UHF Receiver
(UHR903-0-1-GB-XX), refer to Figure 3.

NOTE: Figure 4 depicts the Quad Transmitter model XQT903-1-1-GB-XX, Battery
details are the same for the Quad Transmitter model XQT904-1-1-GB-XX.
1. Remove the Base of the housing, by removing the three retaining screws in the
underside of the Tag.
2. Push the Battery out of the Battery Holder (see Figure 4).
3. Insert the replacement Battery, ensuring that the Positive Pole faces AWAY from
the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) as shown in Figure 4.
4. Re-attach the Base of the housing using the three retaining screws.
5. Push any of the Push-buttons and check that the Power LED illuminates steady
Red.
NOTE: If the Power LED does NOT illuminate, check the polarity of the Battery.
Serial Number Label
A Serial Number Label is stuck to the Base of each ImproX Quad Transmitter; keep this
label in a safe place for warranty purposes.
