Getting Started and Bluetooth® Pairing
1) Charge your unit by plugging the
(included) mini-USB end of the connection cable into the back of the unit and USB-A end of the cable into a computer or powered USB wall adapter (not included).
2) While charging, you will see a red LED
shining through the small hole beneath
the logo on the right-side ear cup. When finished, the LED should go out.
3) To power on unit, slide rocker switch on
the rim of the right-side ear cup from “OFF” to “ON.”
4) Your HSB120 supports two different
modes. Bluetooth mode and microSD mode. When entering Bluetooth mode, you will hear a three-tone sound. When entering microSD mode, you will hear a steady tone. To switch between Bluetooth
8
and microSD modes, hold down the mode ( ) button for 2-3 seconds.
Pairing Bluetooth®
1. When in “Bluetooth® Mode there should
be a blue LED flashing quickly. This shows that the unit is in pairing mode.
2. On your source device (phone, MP3
player, tablet), start a “search for devices” in your “Bluetooth” menu. The exact
method varies from device to device.
3. After a few moments, you should see a
device labeled “HSB120” in the list of found devices. This is the device you should select.
4. You should hear a two-tone sound from
the headphones (if you’re wearing them) if the connection is successful. At this point the blue LED should be steadily lit (not blinking) as long as your device is connected.
5. If your device moves sufficiently out of
range, or Bluetooth® is turned off, the
9
headphones will emit a different threetone sound and the blue LED will begin to flash rapidly. Moving back into range should yield a two-tone sound again and reconnect to your source device automatically.
6. Note: Once you have paired to a
particular device, you should not have to pair again, unless the device lost the settings. Upon powering on in the future (or switching back to Bluetooth® from microSD card mode,” you will hear the three tone sound. However, after about five seconds, you should hear a two-tone sound, informing you that the devices are connected. If you do not hear this sound, simply select the HSB120 from the Bluetooth menu of your device.
Playing Music
1) To play music using a Bluetooth® device,
first make sure you have paired your
10
Bluetooth® compatible device with the HSB120 Bluetooth® headphones (see directions above). If not already in Bluetooth® Mode, choose it by holding down the mode ( ) button for a few seconds until you hear the three-tone sound. Then, on your device, begin playing whatever song you like as if you were listeing to it direclty on your device (or via wired headphones). The music should play through the HSB120 headphones.
2) To play music from microSD card, simply
insert a card containing MP3 music into the slot embedded into the right ear cup (see picture on page 3). You will hear a breif tone. (See Controlling Music Playback below for more details.)
3) To play music from a wired connection
(known as “line-in mode”), simply connect the included 3.5mm cord from the jack on the bottom of your right ear cup to the
11
output jack of your source music device. You do not need to switch any mode.
Controlling Music Playback
For the line-in mode, you must control the music playback from your device. You can hold
down buttons buttons (-)or (+) to adjust the volume.
For all other modes, you can also control the song selection and volume from the buttons on the right side of the headphones. Use buttons
and to jump to previous and next
songs, respectively. Hold down buttons (-)or (+) to adjust the volume. Use the Play/Pause
button ( ) to temporarily pause the song being played. Note: The volume control on your device will also impact the volume coming out of the speaker. For the highest quality sound, set the volume on your source device to a moderate level (not as loud as it gets).

Troubleshooting
Q: Why won’t my HSB120 power on? A: Ensure that the unit has been fully charged,
by hooking up the provided mini-USB to USB-A connector to a computer or USB wall power adapter (not included).
Q: Why does it take so long for my device to charge fully? A: It should not take more than a few hours.
The red LED should extinguish after the unit is fully charged. Note that the length of time to fully charge depends on the power amperage of your USB charging adapter. Most computers output 500mA. Some adapters range from as low as 200mA to as high as 2500mA. Charging time will vary greatly depending on what
14
adapter is used. For best results, purchase an Impecca USB210 wall adapter.
Q: How come I can’t get my music device to
play through Bluetooth®? A: Follow instructions in the “Getting Started
and Bluetooth® Pairing” section above. If you cannot pair, make sure that the blue light is flashing rapidly. If it is steady, you may be in a different mode. Hold down the Play/Pause button ( ) button for 2-3 seconds until you hear a three-tone sound.
Q: How come my HSB120 won’t keep a charge for long anymore? It has worked fine for a long time. A: All rechargeable batteries eventually get
weaker with many charges. Your battery is built-in and not user-replaceable.
