INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing this quality Impecca MP3/ CD Player. Carefully follow these instructions to en­sure a long, useful life of the product.
SAFETY & CLEANING
SAFETY
This device is specically designed for audio signals playback. Any other use is expressly prohibited.
• Protect the device from moisture (including water drops or splashes), direct sunlight, and heat.
• Do not place any objects such as a book or vase on the device. Make sure that normal ventilation is maintained.
• The device contains self-lubricating bearings, which must not be oiled or greased.
• Condensation may form on the lens if the device is taken into a warm room from the cold. This pre­vents it from playing a CD
• Never touch the lens on the device. Always keep the disc compartment closed to prevent dust from collecting on the lens.
• Never open the device casing. No warranty claims are accepted for damage resulting from improper handling.
RADIATION: CLASS 1 LASER PRODUCT
This device meets the requirements for a CLASS 1 LA­SER PRODUCT. The laser is designed to ensure that the maximum permissible emission value cannot be exceeded un­der normal operating circumstances. If operating de-
vices or methods other than those specied in this
manual are employed, it may lead to dangerous ex­posure to emissions. Invisible laser radiation is emitted if the CD compart­ment is opened and the safety locking mechanism is shorted. Do not expose yourself to this radiation.
CLEANING
If the device is unable to read a disk, use a special cleaning CD to clean the laser optics. Other cleaning methods may damage the laser optics. Clean the ex­terior of the device with a clean, slightly damp cloth. Do not use any cleaning agents or chemicals.
ENVIRONMENT
The materials used in this product can be reused and recycled. At the end of its useful life, do not throw the product away with normal household waste. Dispose of it in a local collection point for recycling electrical and electronic devices. Protect the environment by recycling used products.
POWER SUPPLY
AC POWER SUPPLY
• Insert the power adapter into the DC 4.5v power input.
• Plug the wall adapter into a 120v wall outlet.
BATTERIES
The CD Player can run using battery power alone. The LCD indicates the battery charge; if the battery icon is
ashing you will need to change them.
To insert batteries:
• Open the battery compartment by sliding the lid on the bottom of the device in the direction of the arrow.
• Insert two 1.5v AA batteries according to the po­larity (+/-) indications.
• Close the battery compartment without forcing the lid.
Notice: Batteries, including those which contain no heavy metal, should not be disposed of with normal household waste. Please dispose of used batteries in an environmen­tally responsible manner, such as in the store where you purchased this device. Contact your local waste authority to understand what battery disposal rules apply your area.
Remove the batteries when they are drained or when the device will not be used for a long period of time. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage re­sulting from leaking batteries.
GETTING STARTED WITH YOUR CD PLAYER
Your CD player can play music CDs displaying the CD-DA logo as well as CD-R & CD-RWs with audio or MP3 data.
INSERTING A DISC
• Press the OPEN button to open the CD lid.
• Insert the CD with the label facing upwards and gently push the center of the disc until it latches into place.
• Close the CD compartment.
REMOVING A DISC
• Press before you open the CD compartment.
• Press the OPEN button to open the CD lid.
• Remove the CD.
• Close the CD compartment.
ADJUSTING THE VOLUME
Adjust with the volume button
DIGITAL ANTI-SHOCK SYSTEM
To ensure continuous playback, the anti-shock system automatically reads and caches data from an audio CD 60 seconds in advance (120 seconds in MP3 mode)
MUSIC PLAYBACK
• Press   to switch on the device. Playback of the
CD will start automatically beginning with the rst track or le.
• Pause playback by pressing  .
• Resume playback by pressing  .
Press to end playback.
Note: Playback will stop automatically at the end of the CD, if the CD compartment is opened, or if the batteries run out.

Press again to turn o the device.
Note: The device turns o automatically after the end of
playback if you do not press a button within 30 seconds.
REPEATING A TRACK
To repeat a single track:
• During music playback, press the MODE button
once; the le or track is played back repeatedly.
TO REPEAT ALL TRACKS OR MP3 FILES:
• During playback press the MODE button until ALL appears in the display.
TO REPEAT ALL THE FILES IN AN ALBUM (MP3 DISC ONLY):
• During playback press MODE button until DIR ap­pears in on the display.
PLAYBACK THE FIRST 10 SECONDS OF EACH TRACK:
• During playback, press the MODE button until INT
ashes on the display.
To start playback of the rst 10 seconds of each track, press  
• To play back the entire track, press   again
SHUFFLE
• During playback, press MODE button so often un-
til RND ashes on the display.
Start the shue function by pressing  .
SEEK A SPECIFIC MOMENT IN A FILE OR TRACK
During playback press and hold or until you identify the part of the song you want to hear.
• Note: During the search, the playback volume is reduced.

SELECTING ANOTHER FILE OR TRACK
• During playback, press or until the desired track number appears on the display. Playback will begin immediately.

GENERAL INFORMATION
CONNECTING EARPHONES
Connect the earphones to the 3.5mm (1/8”) head­phone output.
Note: Excessive volume can be hazardous to yourself and other road users. Listen at a volume which still allows you to hear outside noises clearly, such as horns or emergency ve­hicles. The devise output is designed the best possible sound at medium volume. Prolonged listening at loud volumes can damage your hearing
CREATING A PLAYLIST
Select up to 64 tracks to playback in a specic order.
• Insert the CD and start playback by pressing  
Press the PROG button to call up the function
Display 001 00:00 08 ashes.
Navigate to the desired le or track by pressing or
Save the le or track to the playlist by pressing PROG button
• Repeat until your playlist is ready
Note: If you try to store more than 64 les or tracks, the rst track you saved is displayed.
PLAYING BACK YOUR PLAYLIST
• Start the playlist playback by pressing  .
• Stop playlist playback by pressing .
• To re-play the playlist again, press the PROG but­ton followed by  .
Deleting your playlist While playback is stopped, press to turn o the de- vice or open the CD compartment.
Note: The playlist memory is also deleted if the AC power adapter is disconnected and/or if the batteries are re­moved from the device
AUDIO CD NOTICE
Various problems can arise when burning a CD-R with audio or MP3 les that may cause it to be incompat­ible during music playback. Potential causes include faulty software or hardware settings or the blank CD media. In rare instances, burning software reverses the playback order. Should such problems arise, con­tact the customer services of your CD burner/soft­ware manufacturer.
Don’t steal: respect all rights held by artists and ensure that artist’s copyright is not infringed.
