Operating Instructions

Read the following notices and information carefully to ensure proper operation of your Bluetooth® speaker
system.

This manual is solely provided for informational purposes and in no way constitutes a legally binding document
between the manufacturer, distributor, and consumer.

INTRODUCTION:

Congratulations on your purchase of the Impecca Portable Bluetooth® Speaker System. Before using your speaker
system, please read through this manual. This manual will help you use many of the exciting and useful features of
your new unit.

WARNING

PLEASE READ THIS MANUAL CAREFULLY BEFORE OPERATING AND STORE IT FOR FUTURE
REFERENCE. IT WILL BE HELPFUL TO YOU IF YOU ENCOUNTER ANY OPERATING PROBLEMS.

1) WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the unit. There are no user-serviceable parts

inside. Contact technical support for further assistance.

2) WARNING: To prevent fire or electric shock hazard, do not expose the unit to rain or moisture.

3) Do not expose the adapter and Bluetooth® speaker system to any water (including drips or splashes). Objects filled

with liquids, such as vases and water bottles, should not be placed on the unit.

4) Keep the AS313BT unit away from direct sunlight and heat sources such as radiators or stoves.

5) Do not place the Bluetooth® speaker system on an unstable table, stand, tripod, bracket or cart. The unit may fall,

resulting in possible damage or injury.

6) Dispose of this unit properly respecting your local laws for electronics and battery disposal.

7) CAUTION: Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced.

8) WARNING: The battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunlight, fire or any other heat source.

9) WARNING: Only use attachments/accessories provided by the manufacturer.

Features

Getting Started and Bluetooth® Pairing

1) Charge your unit by plugging the (included) micro-USB end of the connection cable into the back of

the unit and USB-A end of the cable into a computer or powered USB wall adapter (not included).

2) While charging, you should see a red LED shining through the upper-right hand corner of the

speaker grill. When fully charge, the red LED will turn off.

3) To power on unit, slide rocker switch on back from “OFF” to “ON.”

4) You should hear a voice announce “Bluetooth Mode” or “Line-in Mode.” If not already in Bluetooth

Mode, cycle the Mode ❶button until you hear “Bluetooth Mode.” Note that “Line-in mode” is for
when you have a hardwired connection between your source device and the AS313BT.

a. Pairing Bluetooth®

i. When in “Bluetooth Mode” there should be a blue LED flashing quickly (located in

the upper-right-hand corner of the speaker grill). This shows that the unit is in
pairing mode.

ii. On your source device (phone, MP3 player, tablet), start a “search for devices” in

your “Bluetooth” menu. The exact method varies from device to device.

iii. After a few moments, you should see a device labeled “AS313” in the list of found

devices. This is the device you should select.

iv. You should hear a two-tone sound from the speaker if the connection is successful.

At this point the blue LED should be steadily lit (not blinking) as long as your device
is connected.

v. If your device moves out of range, or Bluetooth® is turned off, the speaker will emit

a polyphonic tone and the blue LED will begin to flash rapidly.

vi. Note: Once you have paired to a particular device, you should not have to pair

again, unless the device lost the settings. Upon powering on in the future (or
switching back to Bluetooth from “line-in” mode, you will first hear “Bluetooth
Mode.” However, after a few seconds, you should hear a two-tone sound and the
blue LED should light steadily. No further intervention is required.

5) To use the line-in input instead of Bluetooth, press the Mode ❶button briefly. You will hear “Line

in mode” and the blue LED will flash slowly.

Playing Music

1) To play music using a Bluetooth® device, first make sure you have paired your Bluetooth ®

compatible device with the AS313BT portable speaker (see directions above). If not already in
Bluetooth Mode, choose it by cycling the “mode” ❶ button until you hear “Bluetooth Mode.”
Then, on your device, begin playing whatever song you like as if you were listeing to it direclty on
your device (or through headphones). The music should play through the AS313BT portable speaker
system.

2) To play music* from a USB flash drive, simply insert the flash drive. You should hear a voice

announce “Play by USB drive.” Music will start playing automatically. (See Controlling Music
Playback below for more details.)

3) To play music* from a TF or microSD card, simply insert a card containing MP3 music into the slot

below for more details.)

4) To play music from a wired connection, connect the 3.5mm plug from the proprietary (included)

USB/3.5mm/micro-USB connector to your music device line-out or headphone recepticle and the
micro-USB end into the back of the AS313BT portable speaker system. Then select “Line-in Mode”
by cycleing the mode ❶button.

*Music played via microSD or USB must be in .MP3 format.

Controlling Music Playback

For the line-in mode, you must control the music playback from your device. You can hold down
buttons ❷or ❸to adjust the volume.

For all other modes, you can also control the song selection and volume from the buttons on top of the
unit. Use buttons ❷and ❸to jump to previous and next songs, respectively. Hold down buttons ❷or
❸to adjust the volume. Use the Pause button (❹) to temporarily pause the song being played. Note:
The volume control on your device will also impact the volume coming out of the speaker. For the
highest quality sound, set the volume on your source device to a moderate level (not as loud as it gets).

Note: If you have both a USB flash drive and a microSD/TF card inserted, you can jump from one to the
other via mode. As well, when finished playing songs from one of the media, the AS313BT will switch to
the other media type for the next song and continue automatically from there.

Phone calls

This speaker system contains a built-in microphone and also operates as a speakerphone for your
smartphone when in Bluetooth mode. If a call comes in while listening to music, you will hear a caller ID
announcement (if available) followed by a ring sound. Press the Pause/Phone (❹) button to pick up
the call. Speak normally. To end the call, press the Pause/Phone (❹) button again. For best results,
speak at a close distance from the AS313BT speaker system.

Troubleshooting

Q: Why won’t my AS313BT power on?
A: Ensure that the unit has been fully charged, by hooking up the provided micro-USB to USB-A

connector to a computer or USB wall power adapter (not included).

Q: Why does it take so long for my device to charge fully?
A: It should not take more than a few hours. The red LED will extinguish after it is fully charged. Note

that the length of time to fully charge depends on the power amperage of your USB charging adapter.
Most computers output 500mA. Some adapters range from as low as 200mA to as high as 2500mA.
Charging time will vary greatly depending on what adapter is used. For best results, purchase an
Impecca USB210 wall adapter.

Q: How come I can’t get my music device to play through Bluetooth ®?
A: Follow instructions in the “Getting Started and Bluetooth Pairing” section above. If you cannot pair,

make sure that the blue light is flashing rapidly. If it is steady, you may be in a different mode. Press the
Mode ❶ button briefly until you hear “Bluetooth Mode.”

Q: How come my AS313BT won’t keep a charge for long anymore? It has worked fine for a long time.
A: All rechargeable batteries eventually get weaker with many charges. You can replace your battery by

ordering a replacement from an online retailer. Search for “BL-5C Extended Li-Ion Battery” and you
should find a compatible replacement for a low cost.
