Key Mapping & Keyswitches
Shreddage II is playable from G-1 to C7, and utilizes keyswitches from C-2 to F#-1.
Powerchords are mapped from G-1 to E2.
Single notes are mapped from G2 to E7.
Fret squeaks are triggered on F2, and full chokes are triggered on F#2.
Keyswitches are mapped from C-2 to F#-1 (see full manual for more info).
Force string selection using B-2 to F#-1. B-2 = All strings, C-1 = String 1, C#-1 = String 2, etc.
Default Velocity & Articulation Mapping
The table below shows how to trigger all articulations in Shreddage II. Most of these
articulations can be enabled or disabled, and their velocity mapping can be changed from
the Articulations UI page.
Articulation Trigger
Palm mutes Velocities 1-69 (lower velocity = more muted)
Sustained notes Velocities 70-126 (higher velocity = aggressive)
Staccato notes Velocities 120-126
Tremolo picking Velocity 1
Pinch squeals Velocity 127
Hammer-on/pull-off Legato playing at velocities 70-126
Portamento slides Legato playing at velocities 1-69
Extra pick attack Velocities 100-120
Vibrato Modwheel (CC1) crossfade
Unison bends Expression (CC11) - affects lowest played note
