Softbox 24˝. This softbox is designed to be used with the
FF-OF4 Fluorescent 4-socket xture. The Octa Softbox
24” includes a front diffuser that is attached with touchconnect strips on all edges, and is ideal for situations
where softening the light is desired. This softbox is for
use with uorescent lights only. It should not be used with
incandescent or tungsten lights.

Assembly Instructions
Assembling the Octa Softbox 24 with the FF-OF4
Fluorescent 4-socket xture
Note: light stands, light xtures, and bulbs are not included with this softbox
unless purchased as a kit.
1. Before assembling the FFOSB60 Octa Softbox, unplug
the FF-OF4 and remove all
uorescent lamps.
2. Unfold the softbox and run
the power cord of the FF-OF4
through the center of the
softbox from the inside out.

Position the retracted FF-OF4
inside the softbox and rst
move the locking knob and
receiver assembly through the
elastic ring. Then t the elastic
ring of the softbox around the
base of the xture. Make sure
that the ex rod sockets are
accessible from the inside of
the softbox.

3. Insert the plain end of rst ex
rod in any of the eight ex rod
sockets on the xture head.
Adjust the softbox so that the
ex rod is aligned with one of
the pockets on the outer edge
of the softbox. Insert the stud
end of the ex rod into the
pocket by bending it so that it
can be inserted into the pocket.
4. Attach the next rod directly
opposite to where the rst rod
was inserted. Insert the plain
end into the ex rod socket
rst, and then insert the stud
(silver) end into the pocket on
the softbox.
5. Attach the next two rods at a
90° angle from the rst two
rods that were inserted. Follow
the same steps as with the rst
two ex rods: insert the plain
end into the ex rod socket,
and rmly bend the ex rod so
that it can be inserted into the
pocket on the softbox.

6. Attach the remaining rods,
always placing one ex rod,
and then the next on the
opposite side. Once all the ex
rods are in place the fabric of
the Octa Softbox should be
stretched tight and the softbox
should keep its shape.
7. Screw in all the uorescent
bulbs. Only touch the base of
the bulb; never touch the glass
itself.

8. Stretch the diffuser around the
opening of the softbox. Press
down on the touch fasteners
to seal it.
9. At this point you can mount
the light xture and softbox
assembly on to a light stand.
Use a sandbag or other weight
to stabilize the assembly.
Disassembly Instructions
1. Turn off the power to your light

Impact FF-OF4 Octa 4 Socket Fluorescent Fixture
The Impact FF-OF4 is a compact and portable lighting xture that uses four CFL
bulbs up to 105W per socket. The FF-OF4 mounts on any 5/8” stud, and two light
switches provide control over your light source. The built-in umbrella socket
and locking tilt knob provide even more lighting options. And with the multivoltage circuitry (100~240V/50/60 Hz) you can plug in the FF-OF4 anywhere.

One-Year Limited Warranty
This IMPACT product is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from
defects in materials and workmanship under normal consumer use for a period of
one (1) year from the original purchase date or thirty (30) days after replacement,

to this limited warranty shall be limited solely to repair or replacement, at the
provider’s discretion, of any product that fails during normal use of this product in
its intended manner and in its intended environment. Inoperability of the product
or part(s) shall be determined by the warranty provider. If the product has been
discontinued, the warranty provider reserves the right to replace it with a model
of equivalent quality and function.
This warranty does not cover damage or defect caused by misuse, neglect,

To obtain warranty coverage, contact the Impact Customer Service Department
to obtain a return merchandise authorization (“RMA”) number, and return the
defective product to Impact along with the RMA number and proof of purchase.
