2 Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Das Gerät entspricht allen erforderlichen Richtlinien
der EU und ist deshalb mit gekennzeichnet.
Beachten Sie auch unbedingt die folgenden Punkte:
Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur im Innenbereich und
schützen Sie es vor Tropf- und Spritzwasser, hoher
Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hitze (zulässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0 – 40°C).
Nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht in Betrieb oder zie hen
Sie sofort den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose,
1. wenn sichtbare Schäden am Gerät oder an der
Netzanschlussleitung vorhanden sind,
2. wenn nach einem Sturz oder Ähnlichem der Verdacht auf einen Defekt besteht,
3. wenn Funktionsstörungen auftreten.
Geben Sie das Gerät in jedem Fall zur Reparatur in
eine Fachwerkstatt.
Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker nie am Kabel aus der
Steckdose, fassen Sie immer am Stecker an.
Verwenden Sie für die Reinigung nur ein trockenes,
weiches Tuch, niemals Wasser oder Chemikalien.
Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, nicht sicher montiert, falsch be dient oder nicht fachgerecht repariert,
kann keine Haftung für daraus resultierende Sachoder Personenschäden und keine Garantie für das
Gerät übernommen werden.
3 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Dieser flache LED-Scheinwerfer dient zur Be leuchtung z. B. auf Bühnen, in Diskotheken und Festsälen.
Als Lichtquelle sind 212 superhelle LEDs eingesetzt.
Diese haben einen niedrigen Stromverbrauch, eine
geringe Wärmeentwicklung und eine lange Lebensdauer. Mit den LEDs kann farbiges Licht in den drei
Grundfarben (Rot, Grün und Blau) abgestrahlt werden
und Licht, das sich aus den Grundfarben additiv
mischen lässt. Außerdem sind Farbüberblendungen
und Stroboskop-Effekte möglich.
Der Scheinwerfer ist für die Steuerung über ein
DMX-Lichtsteuergerät ausgelegt (4 DMX-Steuerkanäle). Er kann aber auch allein oder mit der als Zubehör
erhältlichen Fernbedienung LC-3 oder mit dem Steuerpult LED-4C von „img Stage Line“ betrieben werden.
4 Montage
Platzieren Sie das Gerät immer so, dass im Betrieb
eine ausreichende Luftzirkulation gewährleistet ist.
Die Lüftungsöffnungen am Gehäuse dürfen auf keinen Fall abgedeckt werden.
Der Abstand zum angestrahlten Objekt sollte mindestens 10 cm betragen.
1. Den Scheinwerfer über den Montagebügel (1) be -
festigen, z. B. mit einer stabilen Mon tage schraube
oder einer Lichtstrahler-Halterung (C-Haken) an
einer Traverse.
Zum Ausrichten des Scheinwerfers die zwei
Feststellschrauben (2) am Montagebügel lösen. Die
gewünschte Neigung des Scheinwerfers einstellen
und die Schrauben wieder fest anziehen.
2. Alternativ lässt sich der Scheinwerfer auch frei aufstellen (Abb. 1). Der Montagebügel dient dabei als
Stütze, um ein Umfallen zu vermeiden. Die Feststellschrauben (2) dazu ganz fest anziehen.
5 Inbetriebnahme
Das beiliegende Netzkabel zuerst in die Netzbuchse
(11) stecken und anschließend in eine Steckdose
WARNUNG Blicken Sie nicht direkt in die LEDs, das
kann zu Augenschäden führen.
Beachten Sie, dass sehr schnelle Lichtwechsel bei fotosensiblen Menschen
und Epilep tikern epileptische Anfälle
aus lösen können!
WARNUNG Das Gerät wird mit lebensgefährlicher
Netzspannung (230 V~) versorgt. Nehmen Sie deshalb niemals selbst Eingriffe am Gerät vor und stecken Sie
nichts durch die Lüftungsöffnungen! Es
besteht die Gefahr eines elektrischen
Schlages.
Soll das Gerät endgültig aus dem Betrieb
genommen werden, übergeben Sie es zur
umweltgerechten Entsorgung einem örtlichen
Recyclingbetrieb.
WARNUNG Der Scheinwerfer muss fachgerecht und
sicher montiert werden. Wird er an einer
Stelle installiert, unter der sich Personen
aufhalten können, muss er zusätzlich
gesichert werden (z. B. durch ein Fang seil am Montagebügel; das Fangseil so
befestigen, dass der Fallweg des Gerätes nicht mehr als 20 cm betragen kann).
(230 V~/ 50 Hz). Während der Startphase zeigt das Display (3) kurz an. Danach ist das Gerät betriebs bereit und lässt sich über ein DMX-Lichtsteuergerät
bedienen (Kap. 7) oder durchläuft eigenständig das
eingestellte Showprogramm (Kap. 6). Zum Ausschalten den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose ziehen.
Vorsicht: Das Gerät darf nicht über einen Dimmer an
die Netzspannung angeschlossen werden!
Um einen besseren Bedienkomfort zu erhalten, ist es
empfehlenswert, das Gerät an eine Steckdose an zu schließen, die sich über einen Lichtschalter ein- und
ausschalten lässt.
5.1 Grundeinstellungen
Mithilfe des Displays (3) und der Bedientasten (5) lassen sich die folgenden Grundeinstellungen durchführen. Dazu die Taste MENU so oft drücken, bis die
gewünschte Funktion im Display angezeigt wird. Dann
die Taste ENTER drücken. Mit dem Drücken der
nächsten Taste nie länger als 15 Sekunden warten,
sonst wird der Einstellvorgang beendet. Die Menüstruktur ist auf der Seite 11 dargestellt.
Blackout-Funktion ein oder aus
Mit der Taste DOWN oder UP wählen:
Der Scheinwerfer leuchtet nur, wenn ein DMXSteuersignal an der Buchse DMX INPUT (10)
anliegt. Sobald das DMX-Steuergerät ausgeschaltet wird, erlöschen alle LEDs.
Diese Einstellung muss bei der Bedienung
ohne DMX-Steuergerät gewählt werden.
Zum Speichern die Taste ENTER drücken.
Display ein oder aus
Mit der Taste DOWN oder UP wählen:
Das Display (3) ist immer eingeschaltet.
Das Display schaltet sich ca. 60 s nach dem
letzten Drücken einer Taste aus. Beim nächsten
Tastendruck schaltet es sich wieder ein.
Zum Speichern die Taste ENTER drücken.

15 Sekunden nach dem letzten Drücken einer Taste
wird das Einstellmenü automatisch verlassen. Zum so fortigen Verlassen die Taste MENU so lange gedrückt
halten, bis das Display auf die Anzeige der Betriebsart
umschaltet.
6 Betrieb ohne DMX-Steuergerät
Liegt kein DMX-Steuersignal an der Buchse DMX
INPUT (10) an, leuchtet die gelbe LED MASTER (4),
das Display (3) zeigt die eingestellte Funktion an und
das Gerät durchläuft eigenständig das gewählte
Showprogramm. Voraussetzung dafür ist, dass die
Blackout-Funktion ausgeschaltet ist, Kap. 5.1.
6.1 Funktion wählen
Beim Wählen einer Funktion mit dem Drücken der
nächsten Bedientaste (5) nie länger als 15 Sekunden
warten, sonst wird der Einstellvorgang be endet und
auf die vorherige Funktion zurückgeschaltet. Die
Menüstruktur ist auf der Seite 11 dargestellt.
6.1.1 Showprogramme
Es können 12 Farbwechselprogramme (Anzeige Sh =
Show) und 16 Farbüberblendprogramme (Anzeige Ch
= Chase) gewählt werden. Zusätzlich gibt es das Programm Sh 0, bei dem das Gerät nacheinander die
Farbwechselprogramme Sh 1 – 12 durchläuft und das
Programm , bei dem das Gerät die Farbüberblendprogramme Ch 1 – 16 nacheinander durchläuft.
1) Zum Anwählen eines Farbwechselprogramms die
Taste MENU (5) so oft drücken, bis das Display (3)
anzeigt und zum Anwählen eines Farbüberblendprogramms die Taste MENU so oft, bis
im Display erscheint.
2) Den Menüpunkt mit der Taste ENTER aktivieren.
Das Display zeigt die Nummer des eingestellten
Programms an.
3) Mit der Taste DOWN oder UP eines der Programme
auswählen. Mit der Taste ENTER die Auswahl be stätigen. Das Display schaltet auf die Anzeige der
Ablaufgeschwindigkeit ( … ) um.
Hinweis: Bei dem Programm Nr. 0 kann keine Ablaufgeschwindigkeit gewählt werden. 15 Sekunden nachdem
die Taste ENTER gedrückt wurde, startet das Programm.
4) Innerhalb von 15 Sek. mit der Taste DOWN oder UP
die gewünschte Ablaufgeschwindigkeit einstellen.
Auf diese Geschwindigkeit schaltet das Gerät,
wenn keine Musiksteuerung vorhanden ist [bei ausgeschalteter Musiksteuerung (Bedienschritt 5),
in den Musikpausen oder bei zu geringer Lautstärke]. Die Einstellung mit der Taste ENTER bestätigen. Das Display schaltet auf die Anzeige des Programms zurück.
Nach 15 Sekunden wird das Blinken beendet
und das gewählte Programm startet. Die gelbe LED
MASTER (4) leuchtet. Zum schnelleren Starten des
Programms die Taste MENU so lange gedrückt halten, bis im Display die Programmnummer erscheint.
5) Sollen die Farbwechselprogramme Sh 1 – Sh 12
musikgesteuert werden (die anderen Programme
sind nicht musiksteuerbar), muss die Musiksteuerung eingeschaltet sein:
a) Die Taste MENU so oft drücken, bis im Dis-
play angezeigt wird.

b) Den Menüpunkt mit der Taste ENTER akti-
vieren. Das Display zeigt den Betriebszustand an:
= Musiksteuerung eingeschaltet
= Musiksteuerung ausgeschaltet:
Das Programm läuft mit der eingestellten
Geschwindigkeit.
c) Mit der Taste DOWN oder UP die Musiksteue-
rung ein- oder ausschalten und mit der Taste
ENTER bestätigen. Das Display springt auf die
Anzeige zurück. Nach 15 Sek. startet das
gewählte Programm und das Display zeigt wieder die Nummer des Programms an. Zum
schnelleren Starten des Programms die Taste
MENU so lange gedrückt halten, bis das Display
auf die Nummer des Programms umschaltet.
Läuft Musik mit deutlichem Rhythmus im Bassbereich
in ausreichender Lautstärke, wird bei eingeschalteter
Musiksteuerung über das Mikrofon (7) das gewählte
Programm gesteuert. Bei jedem Musiksteuerimpuls
leuchtet kurz die grüne LED SOUND (6) auf. Sollte die
Musiksteuerung nicht optimal funktionieren, die Lautstärke erhöhen oder den Abstand zwischen der Schallquelle und dem PARL-1DMX verringern.
6.1.2 Farbstrahler
Das Gerät kann eine von 16 voreingestellten Farben
mit maximaler Helligkeit abstrahlen oder eine manuell
einstellbare Farbe in beliebiger Helligkeit.
A Eine voreingestellte Farbe auswählen
1) Die Taste MENU (5) so oft drücken, bis das Display
anzeigt.
2) Den Menüpunkt mit der Taste ENTER aktivieren.
Das Display zeigt die zuletzt eingestellte Farbe
( … oder ) an.
3) Mit der Taste DOWN oder UP eine Farbe auswäh-
len (1 = Rot … 16 = Weiß, = manuelle
Farbeinstellung,
nächsten Absatz) und mit der
Taste ENTER bestätigen. Das Display springt zu rück auf . Nach 15 Sek. zeigt es die gewählte
Farbnummer an und der Scheinwerfer strahlt die
zugehörige Farbe ab.
B Manuelle Farbeinstellung
Tipp: Beim Einstellen der Helligkeit der roten, grünen oder
blauen LEDs ändert sich nicht nur deren Helligkeit, sondern
bei einer Farbmischung auch der Farbton. Darum zuerst die
Farbe, die dominieren soll, auf die gewünschte Helligkeit
einstellen und danach die anderen beiden Farben dazumischen. Soll die Farbmischung Weiß ergeben, zuerst die
Helligkeit der Farbe Grün einstellen, weil diese dem Auge
am hellsten erscheint. Dann mit Rot zu Gelb mischen und
zuletzt mit Blau zu Weiß mischen.
1) Die Taste MENU (5) so oft drücken, bis das Display
anzeigt.
2) Den Menüpunkt mit der Taste ENTER aktivieren.
Das Display zeigt blinkend die zuletzt eingestellte
Farbe ( … oder ) an.
3) Mit der Taste DOWN oder UP auf (manuell)
schalten. Die Funktion mit der Taste ENTER aktivieren. Das Display zeigt nun (red = rot).
4) Mit der Taste DOWN oder UP kann weiter auf
für die Farbe Grün und auf für Blau geschaltet werden sowie danach wieder zurück auf für
Rot. Die Farbe wählen, die zuerst eingestellt werden soll.
5) Die Taste ENTER drücken, sodass der Wert der
angewählten Farbe im Display erscheint (Anzeige
0 – 255). Die Helligkeit der Farbe mit der Taste
DOWN oder UP einstellen und mit der Taste
ENTER bestätigen.
6) Die Bedienschritte 4 und 5 für die weiteren Farben
wiederholen, sodass sich der gewünschte Farbton

7) Zur Feineinstellung des Farbtons kann mit der
Taste DOWN oder UP eine Farbe erneut angewählt
und nach dem Drücken der Taste ENTER mit den
Tasten DOWN und UP korrigiert werden. Abschließend wieder die Taste ENTER drücken.
8) Wird 15 Sek. keine Taste mehr betätigt, schaltet
das Display auf die Anzeige zurück. Zum
Ändern des Farbtons ggf. wieder mit dem Bedienschritt 1 beginnen.
6.2 Zusammenschalten mehrerer PARL-1DMX
Es lassen sich mehrere PARL-1DMX zusammenschalten. Das Hauptgerät (Master) kann dann alle
Nebengeräte (Slave) synchron steuern.
1) Den Anschluss DMX OUTPUT (9) des Haupt gerätes über ein 3-poliges XLR-Kabel (z. B. Serie
MEC-... oder MECN-... aus dem Sortiment von „img
Stage Line“) mit dem Anschluss DMX INPUT (10)
des ersten Nebengerätes verbinden.
2) Den Anschluss DMX OUTPUT des ersten Nebengerätes mit dem Anschluss DMX INPUT des zweiten Nebengerätes verbinden usw., bis alle Geräte in
einer Kette angeschlossen sind.
3) An den Nebengeräten die Art der Steuerung einstellen.
a) Die Taste MENU (5) so oft drücken, bis im Dis-
play (3) die Anzeige erscheint.
b) Die Taste ENTER drücken. Das Display zeigt
jetzt den eingestellten „Slave“-Modus an (
… ).
c) Mit der Taste UP oder DOWN die gewünschten
Modus einstellen:
= Das Nebengerät wird vom Hauptgerät
synchron gesteuert.
= Stroboskop-Effekte werden entgegen-
gesetzt zum Hauptgerät gesteuert.
… = Die Steuerung ist optimiert für
den Einsatz von 3 – 16 Nebengeräten.
Am Hauptgerät darf am Anschluss DMX INPUT kein
DMX-Signal anliegen, sodass die gelbe LED MASTER
(4) leuchtet und das Gerät damit auf den „Master“-

Modus geschaltet ist. Sobald an den Nebengeräten
die Steuersignale vom Hauptgerät anliegen, leuchtet
bei ihnen die rote LED SLAVE (6) auf. Die Nebengeräte sind dann automatisch auf den „Slave“-Modus
geschaltet und lassen sich durch das Hauptgerät entsprechend steuern.
6.3 Fernbedienung mit der LC-3
Über die als Zubehör erhältliche Fernbedienung LC-3
können verschiedene Funktionen gesteuert werden.
Am Eingang DMX INPUT (10) darf dazu kein DMXSignal anliegen.
1) Die Fernbedienung an die Buchse REMOTE CTRL
ONLY (8) anschließen.
2) Über den Ausgang DMX OUTPUT (9) können weitere
PARL-1DMX angeschlossen werden (
Kap. 6.2),
um diese über die Fernbedienung gemeinsam mit
dem Hauptgerät zu steuern.
3) Mit der Taste STAND BY (13) lassen sich die LEDs
des PARL-1DMX ein- und ausschalten. Bei ausgeschalteten LEDs leuchtet zur Kontrolle die LED
neben der Taste STAND BY.
4) Mit der Taste MODE (15) die gewünschte Funktion
wählen:
Stroboskop
– Die LED der Taste MODE leuchtet nicht –
Durch Gedrückthalten der Taste FUNCTION
(14) lässt sich eine der drei Stroboskop-Funktionen aktivieren:
1. Stroboskop-Salven mit weißem Licht, musikgesteuert*
2. Einzelblitz in wechselnder Farbe, musikgesteuert*
3. Stroboskop-Salven in wechselnder Farbe,
musikgesteuert*
Beim erneuten Gedrückthalten der Taste FUNC TION ist jeweils die nächste Stroboskop-Funktion aktiviert.

7 Bedienung über ein Lichtsteuergerät
Zur Bedienung über ein Lichtsteuergerät mit DMX512Protokoll (z. B. DMX-1440 oder DMX-510USB von
„img Stage Line“) verfügt der Scheinwerfer über
vier DMX-Steuerkanäle. Die Funktionen der Kanäle
und die DMX-Werte finden Sie im Kapitel 10.1.
7.1 DMX-Anschluss
Für die DMX-Verbindung sind 3-polige XLR-An schlüsse
mit folgender Kontaktbelegung vorhanden:
Pin 1 = Masse, 2 = DMX

, 3 = DMX+
Zum Anschluss sollten spezielle Kabel für hohen Datenfluss verwendet werden. Normale abgeschirmte Mikrofonkabel mit einem Leitungsquerschnitt von mindestens
2 × 0,22 mm
2
und möglichst geringer Kapazität sind nur
bei einer Gesamtkabellänge bis 100 m zu empfehlen.
Bei Leitungslängen ab 150 m wird grundsätzlich das
Zwischen schalten eines DMX-Aufholverstärkers empfohlen (z. B. SR-103DMX von „img Stage Line“).
1) Den DMX-Eingang (10) mit dem DMX-Ausgang des
Lichtsteuergerätes verbinden.
2) Den DMX-Ausgang (9) mit dem DMX-Eingang des
nächsten Lichteffektgerätes verbinden. Dessen Ausgang wieder mit dem Eingang des nachfolgenden
DMX-Gerätes verbinden usw., bis alle DMX-gesteuerten Geräte in einer Kette angeschlossen sind.
3) Den DMX-Ausgang des letzten DMX-Gerätes der
Kette mit einem 120-Ω-Widerstand (> 0,3 W) ab schließen: An die Pins 2 und 3 eines XLR-Steckers
den Widerstand anlöten und den Ste cker in den
DMX-Ausgang stecken oder einen entsprechenden
Abschlussstecker (z. B. DLT-123 von „img Stage
Line“) verwenden.
7.2 DMX-Modus einstellen
Der DMX-Kanal 4 lässt sich unterschiedlich konfigurieren. Die Optionen sind im Kap. 10.1. angegeben. Wählen Sie danach den gewünschten DMX-Modus aus:
1) Die Taste MENU (5) so oft drücken, bis im Display
(3) erscheint. Mit dem Drücken der nächsten
Taste nie länger als 15 Sekunden warten, sonst wird
der Einstellvorgang beendet.
2) Die Taste ENTER drücken. Der eingestellte Modus
wird angezeigt ( … ).
3) Mit der Taste DOWN oder UP den DMX-Modus ein-
stellen und mit der Taste ENTER speichern. Im Display erscheint wieder . Nach 15 Sekunden
schaltet der Scheinwerfer auf die vorherige Be triebsart zurück. Zum schnelleren Umschalten die
Taste MENU so lange gedrückt halten, bis das Display die Betriebsart anzeigt.

7.3 Startadresse einstellen
Um den Scheinwerfer mit einem Lichtsteuergerät
bedienen zu können, muss die DMX-Startadres se für
den ersten DMX-Kanal eingestellt werden. Ist z. B. am
DMX-Steuergerät die Adresse 17 zum Steuern der
roten LEDs vorgesehen, am PARL-1DMX die Startadresse 17 einstellen. Die anderen Funktionen des
Scheinwerfers sind dann automatisch den folgenden
Adressen zugeordnet (in diesem Beispiel 18 – 20). Als
nächstmögliche Startadresse für das folgende DMXgesteuerte Gerät könnte dann bei diesem Beispiel die
Adresse 21 verwendet werden.
1) Die Taste MENU (5) einmal drücken, sodass im
Display (3) die Anzeige erscheint. Mit dem
Drücken der nächsten Taste nie länger als 15 Sek.
warten, sonst wird der Einstellvorgang beendet.
2) Die Taste ENTER drücken. Die eingestellte Adresse
wird angezeigt. Soll die Adresse automatisch eingestellt werden, mit dem Bedienschritt 4 fortfahren.
3) Zur manuellen Einstellung mit der Taste DOWN
oder UP die Adresse einstellen und mit der Taste
ENTER speichern. Im Display erscheint wieder
. Nach 15 Sekunden schaltet der Scheinwerfer auf die vorherige Betriebsart zurück. Zum
schnelleren Umschalten die Taste MENU so lange
gedrückt halten, bis das Display die Betriebsart
anzeigt.
4) Zur automatischen Adresseneinstellung mit der
Taste DOWN oder UP auf schalten. Diese
Methode ist sinnvoll, wenn mehrere PARL-1DMX
verwendet werden und deren Adressen im unteren
Bereich liegen sollen. Nach dem Anwählen der
Funktion die Taste ENTER drücken. Alle
LEDs leuchten kurz auf und blinkt. Nach
15 Sekunden schaltet das Gerät auf die vorherige
Betriebsart zurück.
Die Startadresse des ersten Scheinwerfers ist
nun auf 1 eingestellt, die Startadressen der folgenden Scheinwerfer auf 5, 9, 13 usw.
Sobald die Steuersignale des DMX-Steuergerätes
empfangen werden, leuchtet die rote LED DMX (4) und
das Display zeigt die Startadresse an. Der PARL-1DMX
kann nun mit dem DMX-Steuergerät be dient werden.
7.4 Steuerung mit dem LED-4C
Das Gerät LED-4C von „img Stage Line“ ist ein einfach
zu bedienendes Steuerpult, das sich auch für den
Scheinwerfer PARL-1DMX verwenden lässt. Es verfügt
über 4 Kanäle, sodass alle daran angeschlossenen
PARL-1DMX nur synchron ge steuert werden können.
1) Die Buchse DMX OUTPUT des LED-4C mit der
Buchse DMX INPUT (10) verbinden und das LED4C einschalten.
2) Die Startadresse der Scheinwerfer auf 1 oder auf
ein Vielfaches von 4 + 1 (5, 9, 13, … max. 61) einstellen, Kapitel 7.3.
3) Zur Steuerung des PARL-1DMX mit dem LED-4C
muss der DMX-Modus eingeschaltet werden:
a) Die Taste MENU (5) so oft drücken, bis im Dis-
play (3) erscheint. Mit dem Drücken der
nächsten Taste nie länger als 15 Sekunden warten, sonst wird der Einstellvorgang beendet.
b) Die Taste ENTER drücken, der eingestellte Modus
wird angezeigt ( … ).
c) Mit der Taste DOWN oder UP auf den Modus
schalten und mit der Taste ENTER speichern. Im Display erscheint wieder . Nach
15 Sekunden schaltet der Scheinwerfer auf die
geänderte Betriebsart um, das Display signalisiert (= Slave-Modus) und eine Zahl (1 – 16).
Die rote LED SLAVE (6) leuchtet.

Anleitung zum LED-4C.
8 Weitere Funktionen
8.1 Anzeige der Betriebsstunden
Um den Stand des Betriebsstundenzählers anzuzeigen:
1) Die Taste MENU (5) so oft drücken, bis im Display
(3) (Fixture hours) erscheint.
2) Die Taste ENTER drücken und die Betriebsstunden
werden angezeigt.
3) Nach 15 Sekunden schaltet das Gerät auf die vorherige Betriebsart zurück.
8.2 Anzeige der Firmware-Version
Um die Versionsnummer der Firmware ( Betriebs system des Gerätes) anzuzeigen:
1) Die Taste MENU (5) so oft drücken, bis im Display
(3) (Version) erscheint.
2) Die Taste ENTER drücken. Die Versionsnummer
wird angezeigt, z. B. = Version 1.0.
3) Nach 15 Sekunden schaltet das Gerät auf die vorherige Betriebsart zurück.
9 Reinigung des Gerätes
Die Kunststoffscheibe vor den LEDs sollte in regelmäßigen Abständen, je nach Verschmutzung durch Staub,
Rauch oder andere Schmutzpartikel von außen gereinigt werden. Nur dann kann das Licht in maximaler Helligkeit abgestrahlt werden. Zum Säubern den Netz-
stecker aus der Steckdose ziehen. Nur ein weiches,
sauberes Tuch und ein mildes Reinigungsmittel verwenden. Anschließend die Scheibe trocken wischen.
Zum Reinigen der anderen Gehäuseteile nur ein
weiches, sauberes Tuch benutzen. Auf keinen Fall
eine Flüssigkeit verwenden, die könnte in das Gerät
laufen und Beschädigungen verursachen.

The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
against dripping water and splash water, high air
humidity, and heat (admissible ambient temperature
range 0 – 40°C).
Do not operate the unit or immediately disconnect
the mains plug from the mains socket
1. if the unit or the mains cable is visibly damaged,
2. if a defect might have occurred after the unit was
dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the unit must be repaired by skilled personnel.
Never pull the mains cable for disconnecting the
mains plug from the mains socket, always seize the
plug.
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, never use
chemicals or water.

The wires in this mains lead are coloured in ac cord ance with the following code:
green/yellow = earth
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow must
be connected to the terminal in the plug which is
marked with the letter E or by the earth symbol ,
or coloured green or green and yellow.
2. The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
3. The wire which is coloured brown must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
Warning – This appliance must be earthed.
3 Applications
This flat LED spotlight serves for illumination e. g. on
stage, in discotheques, and festival rooms. As a light
source, 212 extra bright LEDs are used which have a
low power consumption, a low heat development and
a long life. The LEDs allow to radiate coloured light in
the three primary colours (red, green and blue) and
light which can be mixed from the primary colours by
addition. Besides, colour transitions and stroboscopic
effects are possible.
The spotlight is designed for the control via a DMX
light controller (4 DMX control channels). However, it
can also be operated on its own or with the remote
control LC-3 available as an accessory or with the control panel LED-4C from “img Stage Line”.
4 Mounting
Always place the unit so that a sufficient air circulation is ensured during operation. The air vents at the
housing must not be covered in any case.
The distance to the radiated object should be 10 cm
as a minimum.
1. Fix the spotlight via the mounting bracket (1), e. g.
with a stable mounting screw or a support for light-
ing units (C hook) to a cross bar.
To align the spotlight, release the two locking
screws (2) at the mounting bracket. Adjust the desired
inclination of the spotlight and retighten the screws.
2. As an alternative the spotlight can also be set up as
desired (fig. 1). The mounting bracket serves as a
support to prevent the spotlight from tilting over. For
this purpose tighten the locking screws (2) very firmly.
WARNING The spotlight must be mounted in a safe
and expert way. If it is installed at a
place where people may walk or sit
under, it must additionally be secured
(e. g. by a safety rope at the mounting
bracket; fix the safety rope so that the
maximum falling distance of the unit
would not exceed 20 cm).
If the unit is to be put out of operation definitively, take it to a local recycling plant for a
disposal which is not harmful to the environment.
WARNING The unit uses hazardous mains voltage
(230 V~). Leave servicing to skilled personnel only and do not insert anything
into the air vents; inexpert handling may
result in electric shock.

5 Setting into Operation
Connect the supplied mains cable to the mains jack
(11) first and then to a socket (230 V~ / 50 Hz). When
starting, the display (3) shortly shows . Then the
unit is ready for operation and can be operated via a
DMX light controller (
chapter 7) or will automatically operate according to the show programme adjusted (
chapter 6). To switch off, disconnect the
mains plug from the socket.
Caution: The unit must not be connected to the mains
voltage via a dimmer!
For a more convenient operation it is recommended to
connect the unit to a socket which can be switched on
and off via a light switch.
5.1 Basic adjustments
The following basic adjustments can be made via the
display (3) and the operating buttons (5). For this purpose press button MENU so many times until the
desired function is displayed. Then press button
ENTER. Make sure that the next button is pressed
within 15 seconds, otherwise the adjusting process will
end. The menu structure can be found on page 19.
Blackout mode on or off
Use button DOWN or UP to select:
The spotlight will only light up when a DMX
control signal is present at the jack DMX
INPUT (10). Once the DMX controller is
switched off, all LEDs will go out.
This adjustment must be selected for the operation without DMX controller.
To memorize, press button ENTER.
Display on or off

menu will be exited automatically. To exit immediately,
keep button MENU pressed until the display shows the

6 Operation without DMX Controller
When no DMX control signal is present at the jack
DMX INPUT (10), the yellow LED MASTER (4) will
light up, the display (3) will show the function adjusted
and the unit will automatically operate according to the
show programme selected. For this purpose, the
Blackout function must be deactivated, chap. 5.1.
6.1 Selecting a function
When selecting a function, make sure that the next
control button (5) is pressed within 15 seconds, otherwise the adjusting process will end and the unit will
return to the previous function. The menu structure can
be found on page 19.
6.1.1 Show programmes
12 colour change programmes (indication Sh = Show)
and 16 colour transition programmes (indication Ch =
Chase) can be selected. In addition, there is programme
Sh 0 which allows the unit to run successively through
the colour change programmes Sh 1 – 12, and programme which allows the unit to run successively
through the colour transition programmes Ch 1 – 16.
1) To select a colour change programme, press button
MENU (5) so many times until the display (3) shows
. To select a colour transition programme,
press button MENU so many times until is displayed.
2) Activate the menu item with button ENTER. The display shows the number of the adjusted programme.
3) Select one of the programmes with button DOWN
or UP. Confirm the selection with button ENTER.
The display will switch to the indication of the running speed ( … ).
Note: For programme No. 0, no running speed can be
selected. 15 seconds after pressing button ENTER the
programme will start.
4) Use button DOWN or UP within 15 seconds to
adjust the desired running speed. The unit will
switch to this speed when no music control exists
[with the music control switched off (step 5), in
music intervals, or when the volume is too low].
Confirm the adjustment with button ENTER. The
display returns to the indication of the programme.
After 15 seconds the flashing stops and the
selected programme starts. The yellow LED MASTER (4) lights up. For a quicker start of the programme keep button MENU pressed until the programme number is displayed.
5) For music control of the colour change programmes
Sh 1– Sh12 (the other programmes cannot be musiccontrolled), the music control must be switched on:
a) Press button MENU so many times until is
displayed.
b) Activate menu item with button ENTER.
The display shows the operating state:
= music control switched on
WARNING Never look directly into the LEDs; this
may cause eye damage.
Please note that fast changes in lighting, e. g. flashing light, may trigger
epileptic seizures with photosensitive
persons or persons with epilepsy!

c) Use button DOWN or UP to switch the music
control on or off and confirm with button ENTER.
The display returns to the indication . After
15 seconds the selected programme starts and
the display shows again the number of the programme. For a quicker start of the programme
keep button MENU pressed until the display
shows the number of the programme.
If the music is played with a clear rhythm in the bass
range at sufficient volume and the music control is
switched on, the selected programme is controlled via
the microphone (7). With each music control pulse the
green LED SOUND (6) shortly lights up. If the music
control should not function in an optimum way,
increase the volume or reduce the distance between
the sound source and the PARL-1DMX.
6.1.2 Colour radiator
The unit is capable of radiating one of 16 preset
colours at maximum brightness or a manually adjusted
colour at any desired brightness.
A Selecting a preset colour
1) Press button MENU (5) so many times until is
displayed.
2) Activate the menu item with button ENTER. The
display shows the colour last adjusted ( …
or ).
3) Select a colour with button DOWN or UP (1 = red …
16 = white, = manual colour adjustment,
next paragraph) and confirm with button
ENTER. The display returns to . After 15 seconds it shows the selected colour number and the
spotlight radiates the corresponding colour.
B Manual colour adjustment
Hint: When adjusting the brightness of the red, green, or
blue LEDs, not only their brightness will be modified but in
case of a combination of these colours, the shade of colour
will also be modified. Therefore, first adjust the colour which
is intended to dominate to the desired brightness, and then
add the other two colours. For the combination white, first
adjust the brightness of the colour green, because this colour
appears to the eye to be the brightest colour. Then add red
to result in yellow and finally add blue to result in white.
1) Press button MENU (5) so many times until the display shows .
2) Activate the menu item with button ENTER. The
display shows the colour last adjusted ( …
or ) in a flashing way.
3) Use button DOWN or UP to switch to (manual). Activate the function with button ENTER. The
display now shows (red).
4) Use button DOWN or UP to switch to for the
colour green and to for blue and then back
again to for red. Select the colour to be
adjusted first.
5) Press button ENTER so that the value of the
selected colour is displayed (indication 0 – 255).
Adjust the brightness of the colour with button
DOWN or UP and confirm with button ENTER.
6) Repeat the steps 4 and 5 for the further colours so
that the desired shade of colour with the desired
brightness will result.
7) For fine adjustment of the shade of colour, a colour
can be selected again with button DOWN or UP,
and after pressing button ENTER, it can be readjusted with the buttons DOWN and UP. Then press
button ENTER again.
8) If no button is actuated within 15 seconds, the display returns to the indication . To change the
shade of colour, start again with step 1, if required.
6.2 Interconnecting several PARL-1DMX units
Several PARL-1DMX units may be interconnected.
Then all slave units can be controlled in sync with the
master unit.
1) Connect the DMX OUTPUT (9) of the master unit
via a 3-pole XLR cable (e. g. series MEC-… or
MECN-… from the product range of “img Stage
Line”) to the DMX INPUT (10) of the first slave unit.
2) Connect the DMX OUTPUT of the first slave unit to
the DMX INPUT of the second slave unit, etc. until
all units have been connected in a chain.
3) Adjust the type of control at the slave units.
a) Press button MENU (5) so many times until the
indication is shown on the display (3).
b) Press button ENTER. The display now shows
the adjusted slave mode ( … ).
c) Adjust the desired mode with button UP or
DOWN:
= The slave unit is controlled in sync by
the master unit.
= Stroboscopic effects are controlled
opposite to the master unit.
… = The control is optimized for the
use of 3 to 16 slave units.
No DMX signal must be present at the DMX INPUT of
the master unit, so that the yellow LED MASTER (4)
lights up and the unit is thus switched to the master
mode. Once the control signals from the master unit
are applied to the slave units, the red LED SLAVE (6)
will light up on the slave units. The slave units are then
automatically switched to the slave mode and can be
controlled with the master unit accordingly.
6.3 Remote control with the LC-3
The remote control LC-3 available as an accessory
allows to control various functions. There must be no
DMX signal at the DMX INPUT (10).
1) Connect the remote control to the jack REMOTE
CTRL ONLY (8).
2) Via the DMX OUTPUT (9), further PARL-1DMX
units may be connected (
chapter 6.2) in order to
control them together with the master unit via the
remote control.
3) With button STAND BY (13), the LEDs of the PARL1DMX can be switched on or off. When the LEDs
are switched off, the LED next to button STAND BY
will light up as a check.
4) Use button MODE (15) to select the desired function:
Stroboscope
– The LED of button MODE does not light up –
By keeping button FUNCTION (14) pressed, one
of the three stroboscope functions may be activated:
1. Stroboscopic salvos with white light, musiccontrolled*
2. Individual flash in changing colour, music-controlled*
3. Stroboscopic salvos in changing colour,
music-controlled*
By keeping button FUNCTION pressed again,
the next stroboscopic function is activated in
each case.
* The music control must be switched on
(
chapter 6.1.1, step 5).

7 Operation via a Light Controller
For operation via a light controller with DMX512 protocol (e. g. DMX-1440 or DMX-510USB by “img Stage
Line”), the spotlight is equipped with four DMX control
channels. The functions of the channels and the DMX
values can be found in chapter 10.1.
7.1 DMX connection
For the DMX connection, the unit is provided with 3-pole
XLR jacks of the following pin configuration:
Pin 1 = ground, 2 = DMX
-
, 3 = DMX+
For connection, special cables for high data flow should
be used. Standard microphone cables with screening
and a minimum cross section of 2 × 0.22 mm
2
and with
a capacity as low as possible can only be recommended for a total cable length of up to 100 m. For cable
lengths exceeding 150 m it is recommended to insert a
DMX level matching amplifier (e. g. SR-103DMX by
“img Stage Line”).
1) Connect the DMX INPUT (10) to the DMX output of
the light controller.
2) Connect the DMX OUTPUT (9) to the DMX input of
the following light effect unit; connect its output
again to the input of the following unit, etc. until all
DMX-controlled units have been connected in a
chain.
3) Terminate the DMX output of the last DMX unit in
the chain with a 120 Ω resistor (> 0.3W): Solder the
resistor to the pins 2 and 3 of an XLR plug and connect the plug to the DMX output or use a corresponding terminating plug (e. g. DLT-123 by “img
Stage Line”).
7.2 Adjusting the DMX mode
DMX channel 4 can be configured in different ways.
The options are indicated in chapter 10.1. Select the
desired DMX mode accordingly:
1) Press button MENU (5) so many times until the dis-
play (3) shows . Make sure that the next button is pressed within 15 seconds, otherwise the
adjusting process will end.
2) Press button ENTER. The adjusted mode is shown
(…).
3) Use button DOWN or UP to adjust the DMX mode
and memorize it with button ENTER. reappears on the display. After 15 seconds the spotlight
returns to the previous operating mode. For faster
switching-over keep button MENU pressed until the
display shows the operating mode.

7.3 Adjusting the start address
To be able to operate the spotlight with a light controller,
adjust the DMX start address for the first DMX channel.
If e. g. address 17 on the DMX controller is provided for
controlling the red LEDs, adjust the start address 17 on
the PARL-1DMX. The other functions of the spotlight
are then automatically assigned to the following
addresses (in this example 18 to 20). The address 21
could be used in this example as the next possible start
address for the following DMX-controlled unit.
1) Press button MENU (5) once until the display (3)
shows . Make sure that the next button is
pressed within 15 seconds, otherwise the adjusting
process will end.
2) Press button ENTER. The adjusted address is
shown. For automatic adjustment of the address,
continue with step 4.
3) For manual adjustment, use button DOWN or UP
to adjust the address and memorize it with button
ENTER. reappears on the display. After 15 seconds the spotlight returns to the previous operating
mode. For faster switching-over keep button MENU
pressed until the display shows the operating mode.
4) For automatic address adjustment, use button
DOWN or UP to switch to . This method is useful if several PARL-1DMX units are used and their
addresses are intended to be in the lower range.
After selecting the function , press button
ENTER. All LEDs shortly light up and flashes.
After 15 seconds the unit is switched back to the
previous operating mode.
The start address of the first spotlight is now
adjusted to 1, the start addresses of the following
spotlights to 5, 9, 13, etc.
Once the control signals of the DMX controller are
received, the red LED DMX (4) lights up and the display shows the start address. The PARL-1DMX can
now be operated with the DMX controller.
7.4 Control with the LED-4C
The unit LED-4C from “img Stage Line” is an easy-tooperate control panel which can also be used for the
spotlight PARL-1DMX. It has 4 channels so that all
PARL-1DMX units connected to it can only be controlled in sync.
1) Connect the jack DMX OUTPUT of the LED-4C to
the jack DMX INPUT (10) and switch on the LED-4C.
2) Adjust the start address of the spotlights to 1 or a
multiple of 4 + 1 (5, 9, 13, … max. 61), chap. 7.3.
3) To control the PARL-1DMX with the LED-4C, the
DMX mode must be switched on:
a) Press button MENU (5) so many times until the
display (3) shows . Make sure that the next
button is pressed within 15 seconds, otherwise
the adjusting process will end.
b) Press button ENTER, the adjusted mode will be
shown ( … ).
c) With button DOWN or UP switch to the mode
and memorize it with button ENTER.
reappears on the display. After 15 seconds
the spotlight is switched to the modified operating mode, the display shows (= slave mode)
and a number (1 – 16). The red LED SLAVE (6)
lights up.
Please refer to the instructions for the LED-4C for
more information about the operation.
8 Further Functions
8.1 Display of the operating hours
To show the state of the operating hour counter:
1) Press button MENU (5) so many times until
(fixture hours) is shown on the display (3).
2) Press button ENTER and the operating hours are
shown.
3) After 15 seconds the unit is switched back to the
previous operating mode.
8.2 Display of the firmware version
To show the version number of the firmware (operating
system of the unit):
1) Press button MENU (5) so many times until
(version) is shown on the display (3).
2) Press button ENTER. The version number is
shown, e. g. = version 1.0.
3) After 15 seconds the unit is switched back to the
previous operating mode.
9 Cleaning the Unit
The plastic pane in front of the LEDs should be cleaned
at regular intervals from the outside, depending on
impurities caused by dust, smoke or other particles.
Only this will ensure that the light is radiated at maximum brightness. For cleaning, disconnect the mains
plug from the socket. Only use a soft, clean cloth and
a mild detergent. Then wipe the plastic pane dry.
For cleaning the other parts of the housing, only use
a soft, clean cloth. Never use any fluid; it may leak into
the unit and cause damage.
