(4) Auto Shut-Off function
In order to make copies once the Auto Shut-Off
function has engaged, simply turn the main switch
back ON ( | ). The factory default setting for the
Auto Shut-Off function to engage is 30 minutes.
Auto shut-off function
If no operation is performed on the copier for a
specific period of time (15 min. - 240 min.), the
Auto Shut-Off function will engage and the copier
will automatically turn the main switch OFF (O).
As the average copier normally spends more time
waiting to copy than it does in actually making
copies, the energy spent during this waiting period
is often greater than that spent during actual copy-
ing.
By automatically turning the main switch OFF (O),
the copier reduces the energy spent during such
waiting time as well as protecting from any time the
power is inadvertently left ON at night and, in that
way, it also saves money.
If you generally make copies quite often during the
day, we recommend that you set the time before
the Auto Shut-Off function engages to a longer
period of time. If you only use the copier a few
times a day, we recommend that you set that time
to a shorter period.
* Refer to page 31 to turn the Auto Shut-Off func-
tion OFF. Refer to page 33 to set the amount of
time before the Auto Shut-Off function engages.

rest of indicators on the operation panel will go out.
