CRYSTAL-CLEAR DAB SOUND

The Digital Audio Broadcast (DAB) transmission standard
provides high-quality, interference-free digital audio without
hiss, crackle or fade. DAB receivers offer a more robust
reception technology, providing crystal clear reception in
the vast majority of cases.

FAMILIAR FM FUNCTIONALITY

Includes fast station seek facility, ability to store up to six
presets and frequency display.

WIDE VARIETY AND CHOICE OF STATIONS

Receives DAB and FM stations. UK national radio services
broadcast digitally include BBC Radios 1-4, BBC Radio 5
Live, BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra, Classic FM, talkSPORT
and Virgin Radio. In some areas as many as 55 digital radio
stations are available including local stations such as Heart

106.2, Jazz FM, Capital Radio and unique-to-digital stations
such as BBC 6 Music, BBC 1Xtra, BBC 7, BBC Asian
Network, Oneword and Planet Rock.

EASY TO USE

Easy-to-use one touch autotune facility locks-on to all
available DAB stations, automatically selecting the
strongest regional transmitter. Choose DAB stations by
name and list them either alphabetically or by favourite/
most listened to.

GREAT NEW FEATURES

EVOKE-2 offers a host of great features such as advanced
selectable station ordering and scrolling text display showing
additional data supplied by the broadcaster such as song
titles, artists’ names, programme descriptions, news
headlines, sports results and more.

HIGH PERFORMANCE

Three levels of DAB Dynamic Range Control (DRC) enable
you to adjust dynamic range, useful in a noisy environment
or when listening at low volume to programmes with very
loud or very quiet parts. EVOKE-2 also has a built-in reflex
port for enhanced bass performance.

GREAT CONNECTIVITY

Includes headphone socket. Optical DAB digital out and
line out for playback through your hi-fi or connection to a
MiniDisc or other recording device.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Stereo DAB digital and FM radio with full Band III reception
for all UK DAB broadcasts. ETS 300 401 compliant and
capable of decoding all DAB transmission modes 1-4 up to
and including 192 kb/sec.

Frequency ranges: DAB 174-240 MHz; FM 87.5-108 MHz.

Speakers: Two full-range 3" drive units.

Aerial and connector: Detachable telescopic aerial and

75 Ohm RF F-connector.

Output connectors: 3.5 mm socket for stereo analogue
audio, 3.5 mm socket for stereo headphones and DAB
optical digital output.

Controls: Power on/off, tune, fast autotune, tone, display,
setup, volume, 6 DAB and 6 FM presets.

Display: High-visibility LCD display with 16 x 2 characters.

Power supply: 240V AC to 9V DC external power

adapter or 6 ‘C’ cell batteries (up to ten hours battery life
at quarter volume).

Low Voltage Directives (89/336/EEC and 73/23/EEC).
