DMX Linking
The LΩGIC™ 4X36 uses a CAT5 cable to link to other units .
•The first unit of each set of LΩGIC™ 4X36 units must connect to the DMX controller
with a CAT5 to XLR male adapter.
•The last LΩGIC™ 4X36 unit must use a CAT5 to XLR female adapter to continue the
serial link to other DMX compatib le units.
You may lin k the LΩGIC™ 1X36 to a DMX controller usin g a CAT5. If using o ther DMX
compatible products wit h the LΩGIC™ 1X36, you can control each i ndividuall y with a single
DMX controller.
It is also possible to run several DMX compatible products synchronized without a DMX
controller in a master/slave operating mode. The LΩGIC™ 1X36 supports the master/slave
mode.
If you are not familiar with the DMX standard, or if you need information about the DMX
cables needed to link the LΩGIC™ 1X36 to a DMX co ntroller, you ma y downlo ad the “DM X
Primer” document from the ILUMINARC® web site: www.iluminarc.com
DMX Modes
The LΩGIC™ 1X36 uses the CAT5 DMX data connection for its two DMX modes

Instructions chapter to lear n how to configure the LΩGIC™ 1X36 to work i n these mod es.
The DMX Values section will give you detailed information regarding the above-mentioned

Master/Slave Linking
The Master/Slave mode allows a LΩGIC™ 1X36 product (the master ) r unni ng a pr eco nfigur ed

product.
When in Master/Slave mode, the LΩGIC™ 1X36 products link to each ot her usi n g the sta nd a rd
