Safety Notes

Please read all the following safety notes carefully because they include important information on how to install, use, and maintain this product safely.

Personal Safety

Avoid direct eye exposure to the light source while the product is on.
Always disconnect this product from its power source before servicing.
• Always connect this product to a grounded circuit to avoid the risk of electrocution.

Mounting and Installation

This product is for indoor use only! To prevent risk of fire or shock, do not expose this
product to rain or moisture.
• Make sure there are no flammable materials close to this product while operating.
• When hanging this product, always secure it to a fastening device using a safety cable
(not provided).

Power and Wiring

Always make sure that you are connecting this product to the proper voltage, as per the
specifications in this manual or on the product’s sticker.
• Never connect this product to a dimmer pack.
Make sure that the power input cable is not cracked, crimped, or damaged.
Never disconnect this product by pulling or tugging on the power input cable.

Operation

The maximum ambient temperature (Ta) is 104° F (40° C). Do not operate this product
at a higher temperature.
In case of a serious operating problem, stop using this product immediately!

2. Product Description

The LΩGIC™ 1X36 product is the power supply and control for the LΩGIC™ seri es of devices. The LΩGIC™ 1X36 consi sts of five personalities for the RGB mode and five personalities for
the SpectraWhite™ mode, all of which are configurable from the control panel. The outp ut o f the LΩGIC™ 1X36 is a RJ-45 type connection. The DMX i nput and outp ut is on the rear panel and also uses a RJ -45 type connection.

Installation
Always connect the LΩGIC™
1X36 to a protected circuit with an appropriate electrical ground to avoid the risk of electrocution or fire.
Never connect
the LΩGIC™
1X36 to a rheostat (variable resistor) or dimmer circuit, even if the rheostat or dimmer channel serves only as a 0 to 100% switch.
Make sure to
disconnect the
products power cord before replacing a blown fuse, and always replace it with a fuse of the same type and rating.

AC Power

The LΩGIC™ 1X36 has an auto-ranging p ower supply that ca n work with an input voltage range of 100~240 VAC, 50/60 Hz.
Make sure that you are connecting this product to the proper voltage, as per the specifications in this guide, the pr od uc t’s use r man ual , or on the product’s sticker.

Power Consumption

To determine the power requirements for the LΩGIC™ 1X36 see the label affixed to the side of the product. Alternatively, you may refer to the corresponding specifications chart in the Technical Information chapter of this manual.
The listed current rating indicates the maximum current d raw during normal ope ration.

1. With a flat he ad screwdriver, wedge the fuse holder out of it s housing and remove
the blown fuse from its holder.
2. Replace the blown fuse with a fuse of the exact same type and rating.

DMX Linking

The LΩGIC™ 4X36 uses a CAT5 cable to link to other units .
The first unit of each set of LΩGIC™ 4X36 units must connect to the DMX controller
with a CAT5 to XLR male adapter.
The last LΩGIC™ 4X36 unit must use a CAT5 to XLR female adapter to continue the
serial link to other DMX compatib le units.
You may lin k the LΩGIC™ 1X36 to a DMX controller usin g a CAT5. If using o ther DMX compatible products wit h the LΩGIC™ 1X36, you can control each i ndividuall y with a single DMX controller.
It is also possible to run several DMX compatible products synchronized without a DMX controller in a master/slave operating mode. The LΩGIC™ 1X36 supports the master/slave mode.

DMX Modes

The LΩGIC™ 1X36 uses the CAT5 DMX data connection for its two DMX modes (SpectraWhite™ and RG B). These modes contain their own separate personalities. Please refer to the Introd uction chapter for a brief description of these modes and the Operation Instructions chapter to lear n how to configure the LΩGIC™ 1X36 to work i n these mod es. The DMX Values section will give you detailed information regarding the above-mentioned DMX modes.

Master/Slave Linking

The Master/Slave mode allows a LΩGIC™ 1X36 product (the master ) r unni ng a pr eco nfigur ed program to control several other LΩGIC™ 1X36 products (the slaves) without requiring a DMX controller. In this mode, all the slave products will operate in unison with the master product.
When in Master/Slave mode, the LΩGIC™ 1X36 products link to each ot her usi n g the sta nd a rd CAT5 DMX connection.
